I've never really seen the Zill O'll series brought up too much, be it here or elsewhere. I suppose it doesn't help that a Gamespot importer declared there to be "no room" for the PS1 game in the west, the PS2 and PSP ones never came out (wouldn't shock me if it was due to that import review in the first place), and the "professional" reviewers shat on the PS3 one that did come west.

How is the series anyhow, if you've got more experience beyond this one?

I never understood why the Japanese use kanjis in the first place. Aren't hiraganas and katakanas as an "alphabet" enough to convey all you need? Why go the chinese road and use a different symbol for everything.

It is so dirty gaijin cannot learn japanese.

There are too many homophones and such. Surely they could have done better, but I don't think they will stop using it now, its much better for readability too, a text completely in hiragana (or worse, katakana), besides hurting your eyes, it's much harder to know what word ends where and stuff.

This is a reason i would actually accept.


If they would just use spaces between words and points between sentences, i think it would as readable as our letters or cyrillic letters. But well, it is how it is.
