This statue of Mahatma Gandhi stands in Parliament Square, London. It was put up just a couple of years ago.
It's clearly documented beyond dispute that during his time in South Africa, Gandhi expressed racist views against African blacks, comparing them to animals.
So, my proposal is that we co-opt the current wave of insane Leftist iconoclasm to target this statue for removal because of his racism.
This would be extremely divisive. The UK has a substantial Indian Hindu population that revere him. White people generally think very highly of him. too Muslims and Sikhs are ambivalent towards him. I suspect that most blacks are unaware of how racist he was. If we can bring attention to that, we could create a shit-storm with lots of brown people on both sides.
There is precedent for this. Last year a Gandhi statue was removed from the university of Ghana after a successful campaign and petition:
