I was never that inverested in FFXIV. The first thing that caught my interest was Golden Saucer.

The community was nice, and I just enjoyed exploring the world gradually, I didn't enjoy anything about the gameplay itself. I liked my little self-insert, I took tons of screenshots in pretty locations. I spent most of my time hanging out on the boat to mhuara, fishing in bastok for rusty buckets, riding around on a chocobo, etc. Is the combat better in this?

I remember everyone giving me shit because I wanted to be a WAR/RDM, and I sometimes threw around a flame boomerang as a secondary weapon because I wanted to improve that skill rating. I'm sorry I like the idea of imbuing an axe with lightning damage…

We don't have erp dens either, a lot of people in my FC just refer to shared plots as ERP dens

Monk damage > Ninja damage.

However, with Ninja's toolkit (Smoke Screen, Shadewalker, etc) Ninja utility > Monk utility.

Both are viable for endgame but people prefer Ninja over Monk usually due to Ninja's utility.

In terms of fun/difficulty they're around the same.

Ninja has you managing two dots, keeping up Huton via Armor Crush (or Mudras if you're shit) and using Trick Attack at opportune times as well as keeping your Mudras on cooldown.

Monk has you managing Greased Lightning for damage/speed and two dots (three if you cross-class Fracture). Also all your Monk weaponskills have a positional requirement so you'll be moving between the flank and the rear of whatever you're hitting quite a bit.

Basically you can choose either and do relatively well, provided you're not shit of course.

I actually found monk to be really challenging to play. Leaving dragon kick for one of your last skills, when it's an opener to your flanking combo, makes it hard to adjust for when you're so used to using bootshine every time.

I didn't find it that difficult but that could just be me. You pair up dragon and twin so all your flank abilities are together and your rear abilities are together.

All single-target attacks are equally single, but all "don't stand in this" circle or other AoEs are AoE damage.
Either plays off of Alchemist or gets their own special potion system. DPS healer capable of replacing scholars. Attacking enemies increases bonus stacks you can use to make heals even better.

Then a fucking Black Mage joins and out DPS me by about 300-500 with the same gear and uses 5 fucking abilities and at range. Ice 123 Fire 123 and a thunder now and then. Fuck that shit

If you want JUSTICE you may want to look at Dark Knight, however that is locked behind the ARR story quests. Otherwise there's the sneak police (Rogues). Fun classes include Pugilist/Monk, Marauder/Warrior and Arcanist/Scholar/Summoner

I want to make a male highlander but I get the feeling that all the armor is going to look flamboyant and tight on my dude. Can anyone confirm or deny if the clothes are kind of gay-looking, in typical FF fashion?
