People need to understand that you cannot fight Alphabet with their own tools. They wrote the code and they can and will tweak it. If it is utilised in a way they don’t want it to be. This should be pretty easy. The Youtube report system is automated. If you do something like make a hundred accounts, link them to a bot, and then have that bot go report every video it sees with those accounts, they will all quickly go down.
I do think it's possible that Youtube might incorporate some sort of loophole that ensures that the big channels, and itself, aren't taken down by this. But the vast majority of the users on Youtube aren't big channels. Like maybe Pewdiepie won't be able to be reported, but what if you take down fifty other streamers?

The algorithms in place to check reports would then check the formatting and phrases of the report and realize it's a bot.
Even if you programmed 100 different reports it would notice them coming from the same account and it would be flagged, to prevent bot spam.

That's accurate. Some accounts are flagged to not even show up much under trending, and this has been mentioned by h3h3 and keemstar. YouTube does allow for it to pick who is "somewhat" trending, but the chances to trend are based on what faces that want seen. This is undeniable.
