Why does this game seem to get a free pass while the "hot coffee" thing in GTA: San Andreas seemed to have all sorts of controversy around it.

I want to say it's given a pass in South Park because of how crudely drawn and shitty it looks. I think the hot coffee thing was found out way after God of War 1 was already out. I think it took all the way until the game was ported to PC before anyone saw that shit.
