I'm starting a Facebook page called Black Radical History to try and get more poc on board the revolution train
Can you guys give me like, any idea of what to fucking post. I want it to cover the black radical tradition everywhere, in Africa, the US, South America, etc. but I'm short on material. Give me some links, some OC, some pics, some quotes, some literature.
Cool I'll start one called White Radical History to get some whites on our side too.

Just because one of the groups that has been most hurt by capitalist and imperialist exploitation struggles for emancipation and equality through action based on a historical materialist understanding doesn't make it idpol.
You can shout idpol when someone calls himself Black or calls for Black liberation, but the fact of the matter is that that label is imposed upon them by the ruling classes and the ruling superstructure and its imposition has some tangible deleterious effects, and trying to pretend that it doesn't exist is practically surrendering to porky's strategy of dividing the proletariat.
Hunter Watson
there come the retarded anarkiddies
the mere existence of a black community doesn't make adressing it idpol
talking about their own experiences as detached from the class struggle is idpol

Can you guys not recognize a blatant false flag when you see it?

there's no "white community" but try "german" or any other group predominently white that has actually some common historic background and look, it doesn't sound forced and retarded anymore, golly gee

This. The only reason we even say 'Black' is due to the legacy of slavery which reduced the identities of the various ethnic groups from which sub-Saharan African slaves came from to a single Black category. In this way, Black in the American context doesn't refer to the "Black" race (the idea of which is 19th century pseudoscience) but rather because they form a kind of ethnic group where there nonetheless isn't as much in the way of shared heritage, sort of like with the Cape Coloureds in South Africa.
Most white people generally weren't separated from their families or had their cultures erased, so they can still be referred to by their specific ethnicity, whether German, Italian, Albanian or whatever else have you.

This.
The only reason we even say 'Female' is due to the legacy of slavery which reduced the identities of independent women who don't need no man from which Venus slaves came to form a single Female category. In this way, Female in the American context doesn't refer to the "Female" gender (the idea of which is 19th century pseudoscience) but rather because they form a kind of identity group where there nonetheless isn't as much in the way of shared backgrounds or ideas.
Landon Lewis
Are you completely retarded?
Black refers to both the racial concept of a distinct Black race (and again, race is pseudoscience) and to the Black ethnicity found in America. This is what I am referring to.
White doesn't have the same connotation because it refers exclusively to the racial concept, and not to any ethnicity at all.
It's like the relation between Han Chinese and Asian, except it's Black and black, because the Black ethnicity is named after the black race.

This is where your thread was doomed to die.
They're called black people or niggers as I like to call them.

Nigger how do you expect to attract Black people to leftism if you try to pretend that the historical exploitation and shitting-upon of Black people just straight up didn't happen or that they aren't treated differently from other proles? (It's Blacks that are most hit by factory closures and contraction of the economy, for example, since theirs are generally the first jobs to go and they often lack the means to relocate and get jobs elsewhere like white people do.)
Admitting that these issues exist and explaining them through a materialist lens as well as making reference to how different Black people have tackled these issues from the left is something that just straight up makes sense tactically.

I am loving "Civics for Democracy".
It's a short book intended for middle schoolers so any easy read.
Endorsed by Ralph Nader, this book goes over not just Black Radical History, but Feminist and Consumer movements as well.
There's a chapter on Black Panthers. Oh and reading it, pretty much EVERYTHING and I mean everything happening right now is beat for beat repeated in the 1960's.

/thread It's bigoted to think you can just assign the label POC to any race that ISN'T h'white. To call a gook a POC or a spic a POC is just a blanket attribution that doesn't account for the various conditions that led to their continuous oppression and solely identifies them by melanin. Imagine a nigger opens up your FB group's page and realizes that not only have you just thrown him/her into a n artifact of racial typology, but so too destroyed the chattel slavery narrative he/she had of his/her ancestors. Revise your page and apologize to any users you may have exploited.

I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing or identitarian, depending on how it's done. There's nothing wrong with emphasizing certain intellectual traditions within socialism to interest people. It could be argued it's pandering to identitarian sensibilities, but, so long as it's a project about socialism and not identity, I don't see a problem with that in itself as it could turn identity-focused liberals to socialism who wouldn't normally be interested.

Thomas Sankara was based, he was also big into Women's Liberation so no retarded idpoler can come around and claim that we don't pay enough attention to racism and sexism. Share this documentary, no way people aren't gonna love Sankara after this: youtube.com/watch?v=xgD-jhBIdiQ
Everyone else: Just mentioning the fact that black people or racism exist is not idpol by itself. Those things exist and you can't unite the working class by ignoring them. Please help OP because after the elections this is our best chance to mobilize ex-liberals.

Blacks in America dont get to be Hausa or Igbo, they're just Black. Their identity was assigned to them by their former owners and now they are stuck with it.
Just ask yourself, if a black person didnt want to see themselves or identity as black, how far would they get before someone reminded them? The police for example.

I feel that this image has incredibly high meme potential. Something about liberals and Berniebros and racism.
