Endless Space 2

Are you hyped anons or is it going to be shite? Especially with SEGAY buying Amplitude

Knowing sega they are gonna release the game with 4 races and then release rest as DLC.

My hopes are just about set to their lowest.

With one of them as preorder DLC.

Thank you user for the escape pod and I've never played an Endless game so my expectations are low

It can't be that bad right?

This is the most shiggy of diggys.

I didn't like Endless Space one at launch. Not sure if it changed.

So far Endless games have been in constant re-making of their own gameplay.
Endless legends is essentially a Civ V but better set in a fantasy kingdom and Endless Space has card based fleet combat.
You choose prior to the battle what actions they take during 3 turns and some of those actions can counteract enemy actions.

It's lost
shame too, because Endless Space 1 was top tier comfy, but the AI could pump fleets out like no tomorrow

Thanks user I'll give them a try one day

Endless Legends absolutely humiliated Firaxis and Civ 5, blowing the devs out of the water to the point Beyond Earth and Civ 6 are doing their best to copy Endless Legend poorly

Endless Space which came before Endless Legend had a very interesting setting and races but overall the game had gamebreaking bugs and felt a bit unfinished, especially with some broken gameplay.

So it's going to be a mixed bag. Endless Space 2 could potentially be shit, a broken gem, or great. But with SEGA involved edging towards shit

And they throw out pretty decent expansion packs as well

Some Gamsecom footage. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything without retardeds.

...

Shes got some nice tits i'll tell you.

It's a fucking AAA game company, of course they'd try to destroy any good will generated by the little company they bought out.

Worth reading?

You mean the Comic yeah it's pretty decent.

Can this be considered a game? It looks more like a spreadsheet/cutscene simulator to me.

Though to be fair the footage is terrible, it focuses more on the fucks sitting on the couch rather than gameplay footage. It cuts off before they showed off the new Space Combat mechanics

Also who's pissed Hissho are no longer a Major Faction?

name of comic?

Star Wars Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison

Sheredyn probably deserved to be removed more so than the Hissho did

Endless Legend came out around the same time as Beyond Earth. In fact, the general response here was either buy AC or EL instead. This is with EL having combat that is weird and generally disliked, and not having some of the fancier options like wonders or espionage.

The fact that a company with the history of Firaxis got one upped by a previous game of theirs and a game by a company with only one other game of the genre to their name is absolutely humiliating.

I am after seeing them get replaced by a space mafia, which would work better as a minor faction in my opinion. Like, run into an independent world run by a Lumeris mafia family and integrate them for espionage and other crime based bonuses, but suffer drawbacks because of corruption, drug trade and the like becoming more prevalent in your empire.

If you want to read online and CBF getting a .CBR I found this site.

In other news, Scam Citizen might finally be getting content.

Also known as things that should have been done years ago

thanks

I think we need to build a wall and keep the Cravers out. Make Hissho Great Again!

endless legend a shit.

go play age of wonders comrade.

This is the space thread, user.

But EL have them

In the expansions, base game didn't have either of those. The wonders were also somewhat disappointing given that they were the same for every faction, not even different models to make them blend in a bit.

...

They add this in base game for free. Only 2 faction (moth-batman and Invisible scumbags are DLC).

...

But where's the lewds?

I honestly thought that wasn't the case. My mistake then.

Now now user, this is not the time for lewds. They come later!

Have we started the fanservice?

Of coursh!

...

...

...

...

I found Endless Legend to be pretty sterile, but I should probably give it another go.

Try the Cult, I think it has the best faction quest. Warning though, retard patch that came with the Allayi ruined diplomacy, you can't extort guys when they're down to their last city and you're laying siege to them, they made them way too stubborn. Pirate an older version, it's kind of ruined the game for me, hopefully it's fixed next patch.

I love that picture.

...

These aren't the lewds I wanted!

cgtrader.com/msgamedevelopment

I found this guy and I'm honestly considering forking out some shekels for a few of his models for use in my space game

Some of them are just so gud

inb4 shill - fine, the guy deserves to be shilled for for selling high quality models for 25-40$. Pic related.

That is all you get son. For some reason rule 34 is very lacking when it comes to Endless games.

he gets the grill and then gets killed by darth vader

Lizards aren't meant to have tits.

This thread needs more thic ayys

They are not a lizard.

...

would you settle for a thic supercarrier?

Sorry m8 but AoW died after 2

stellaris?

Stellaris I find it halfway decent. Paradox at least has been doing its thing of listening to community and fixing shit over time. Maybe someday the game will be worth it.

That's the fate for those who fugg xenos

It was painfully mediocre when I last played it, especially with the huge "nothing to do" gap you have in mid/first part of late game
Not to mention that horrific "you can only control a few worlds, rest is for retarded AI governers" system
But, it at least has potential to be good in the future, it's not fundamental broken like HOI4 was

How is Space Engineers?
I usually avoid Early Access shit like the plague, but the idea of building my own wacky spaceships appeals to me, and I think it's on Humble at the moment for cheap along with some other trash I don't care about.

I can't honestly say, but every patch the devs made to the game gradually made it more and more unplayable for me.

I like how its fine to have chicks that look like this in vidya if they are aliens lol

plus space nigs

male looks rough tho

In what respect?

Generally bugs, worse netcode, things getting broken. Seems each time they patch they introduce new shit that breaks more things.

...

What's your favorite space game?

Freespace 2 with FSO installed.

Also, check em.

...

Star Control 2. Every other one I tried has been shit but I haven't played many.

X-wing: Alliance

Make your own imperial missions. Allied is free now.

Normally I'm not bothered at all by stuff like this, but it seems to go against the more ornate and extrinsic design this was carrying over from Endless Space 1 until now.

Sound opinion and sound dubs.

Very niced. Checked.

Good taste,

So did anyone follow Star Ruler 2 keys getting revoked from Bundlestars?

archive.is/i05Fw

Absolute madman.

Holy shit the whining.

I was honestly surprised there wasn't more about this on Holla Forums before. It's a glorious salt mine.

KSP with mods.
Also, friendly reminder that Principia, RSS and FAR exist.

X3:AP and Space Rangers 2

These look better

what about shadow magic?

This triggers the Trekkie.

...

...

How did 2 stack up to 1?

It didnt.

Like Supcom2 to SupCom:FA

son of a bitch

Just wait user.
It's sci-fi, so shitty ideologies are almost inevitable.
There's more to it.

I'ld like to point out that wing commander had an objectively good ideology from the word go: *killing furries*

Best ideology

I should really replay those games.
Are all of them worth it or just the third?

It's a little bit more complicated than that, you really should have played FS1 first.

...

I really liked all the mainline ones, including prophecy.
Which might just mean I'm too much of a nostalgic faggot to give a useful answer.

best race coming through

It's not much of a Star Ruler game but if you take it as its own thing it's pretty good. The diplomacy system is the best I've ever seen.

Literally worse than J

1. You should have played FS1 and Silent Threat: Reborn before FS2.

2. It gets more complicated than that as the story goes on.

Silly user, humanity ARE the refugees. Admiral Bosch is a moron who consorts with monsters, sells out his own men and collaborates with those that want to exterminate humanity.
To use an analogy, imagine if in north america during the 17th century, just as the colonies are starting to thrive all travel across the atlantic ocean becomes impossible. Both british colonies in the north (GTA/Humans) and the French colonies around new orleans (the Vasudans) are instantly cut off from their home countries (vasuda is bombed until its uninhabitable, the only jump point to earth collapses) leaving everyone equally fucked. Now everyone in north america starts cooperating because they are afraid what happened to their home countries is going to happen to everyone else and it required the combined efforts of both the terran and the vasudan fleets to fight off the Shivans last time.
Now what Bosch is doing, is actively try to bring the shivans back. To get the resources for this, he starts a civil war inside the GTVA pitting humans against vasudans.
Do you see how this is a bad idea? How both antagonising humanity's allies while at the same time actively trying to contact the space monsters that fucked everyone over in the first place, might not be a good idea?

I'll figure out why I'm killing these people later.

Then don't make incredibly wrong presumptions about the story and why humans are working with aliens in the sequel.

You probably don't even know that the people you're playing as in FS2 are completely cut off from the rest of humanity.

I hope it's good. I didn't play the first one but endless legend was a fun.

If you're hyped for any game in the current year you're a fuckig retard. Most pre relese footage and info is bullshit these days

what a dreadful display of autism

Never was big on star trek lore, is there anything ELSE wrong with those aside from multiple warp generators and being generally OVERDESIGNED PIECES OF SHIT?

Best Freespace Open Mods?

This one had an awesome campaign.
There was also a promising looking mod for the Battlestar Galactica reboot, made back before the show turned to shit. I haven't been keeping taps on that though, no idea if it was finished or if it died.

also on the subject of great Freespace mods…

There's at least two with a deflector dish facing backwards, and just generally too many of them. The purpose of the field it generates is to deflect debris that the ship might hit while traveling, so there isn't much use for one not facing the direction of travel. Then again, given how it gets used in the shows, having multiple dishes at different angles may be a reasonable idea.
The turrets don't seem to match Federation weaponry, or any other power I can think of.

Also one of them has a 20th century sea ship on the front.

Did the Orkz loot the Federation?

Endless Space 1 had nice atmosphere amazing UI but THE MOST BORING, POINTLESS PAPER-ROCK-SCISSORS space combat imaginable.

If you're thinking Diaspora: Shattered Armistice it's out and it's awesome. Go check it out

Anyone excited for Elite's 2.2? The Beluga looks pretty sexy and I want it now, shame passenger missions are looking like re-skinned cargo missions. We are getting tourist locations with lots more background lore which tourist passengers will want to visit.

Is Elite: Dangerous even worth buying?

...

Thargoids are coming back soon too

The Ascii in this and other vids leaked over the streams translates into this
We've found something, something incredible. Something the whole Galaxy will want to see. The truth. We could show it too you. That wouldn't be much fun so we're going to play a little game. To find us. Look for a bounty hunter. To find more clues you'll need a pre-logistics support in a system with one star, two belts, three rings and enough radiation to turn you green. The hunt begins on the 28th.

The system that fits is in the img, the outpost is painted green.

Only if you don't mind waiting for the rest of the expansions to be finished as a lot of the content in right now is pretty shallow.

The planet exploring is pretty cool but Space Engine is a lot cheaper. I'd only recommend it on sale, even then it's pretty pricey.

There are player factions nigga, you send an email to Frontier and you can have a minor faction named after you, you fight for it make it expand and defend it via the background sim.

The really should make more of it part of the game rather then the do everything outside the game we have right now, still

I've never been able to get into space 4x games before, no matter how many times I try. Which ones would you guys recommend for a beginner? I've played Civ 4 and 5 for years, so I know how 4x works in general, but I'm one of those fags that likes to get comfy with 3 or 4 cities and pump out tech and buildings with almost never any warriors or further expansion

Master of Orion.

Also anons I need some help, it's been many years since I played any 4x games and saying I am a little rusty would be an understatement. I was playing Moo2 a few days ago and was having some fun but I couldn't figure out how make any of my ships good no matter what I did. In Short I'm a decent Commander but I can't make good ship designs to save my life What are good Moo2 ship designs?

Could try sins of a solar empire as training wheels, get used to going out and exterminating shit in not-quite-4X.

...

define "space Mount and Blade"

I've also been struggling. What I've found that works is early on use and abuse missile boats. Point defense is awful early game so most missiles will get through (this also applies to enemy missiles). I normally use cruisers with lots of missiles and some anti-missile launchers, mixed with mass driver cruisers to keep the pressure on after my missiles are expended. When your ships gain experience or you get better targetting computers you will find beam weapons to be mich more reliable.

how would that even work? Melee weapons aren't that appealing with guns and spaceships with missiles. Or is there another mechanic from the game I'm missing?

But before I even got into any war or fight I had all of the best equipment and still couldn't make any ship I had good. I really suck with ship designs

maybe it will be good

I wonder how much the Beluga's gonna cost though, I only have 200 mil free right now and by its size I expect it'll cost more than that to outfit.

But the ship transfer thing is nice.

ED desperately needs that stuff but the official forums are full of whiny forumdads who throw a hissy fit whenever multiplayer improvements are brought up. Like they WANT ED to fail.

...

Master of Orion 1 or 2, play as psilons.

if only my computer could run it without the res at half and the graphics lower then low.

My comp is better then a PS4 and it looks and runs worse.

10/10 would fly

But user didn't you read? If the passengers get pissy they will literally hop into the escape pods and fucking leave.

Also the Beluga's bridge is fucking sexy as hell.

I think that is to be expected, the PS4 version is better optimized for the hardware. Still, shame, the game looks quite good if you've got a decent rig.

...

It's interesting because the PS4 and Xbone are really just glorified PC's optimizations there should not be hard to translate into optimizations on other PC hardware. It's a shame many game's only look good today with brute force instead of proper optimization. Elite is a good example it looks better on the Xbox then NMS on the PS4 and runs really well on my PC even on planets.

It hurts so much

To some extent, yes but the PC version always have to run on generic hardware and many different configurations. It gets much easier when you know the precise specifications. I'm no programmer though so maybe I'm not the most qualified person to give an opinion on the matter.

...

Console ports get gimped intentionally on PC.
It's not only some 30 fps lock here and there…

some gameplay footage

thou I am really not happy about sega hopefully they don't stick their fingers into amp studios

I enjoyed that far more then I should have.

I'm a programmer and most optimization has nothing to do with the hardware but writing code to do things more efficiently thusly requiring less power to run them. Hardware specific optimization is when hardware features certain parts, perhaps a core on a gpu, dedicated to a specific process and crutching code in a certain way, making your program use those specific hardware tricks effectively is how you optimize on consoles. But since the PS4 and Xbone have PC hardware they don't have any of these tricks, so shit devs are shit.

Best thing he's made in a while, hope we get more.

user, did you miss me, bby

Elite dangerous with fighting for and defending your factions. There would be factions with their own unique ships with pros and cons and there would be space pirates to act as bandits. Planets would be villages with space forts on moons to act as castles.

It's a shame because powerplay already kinda does some of that, but since players can just do the delivery missions in solo and ignore any other player blockades etc it's pointless.

They really should make some things like powerplay and CGs open only, or at least only worthwhile in open, like a 50% boost in ranking and rewards for these things if you do them in open.

Why would you not go in solo, though? Your trading ship doing the deliveries, or even a multipurpose fit, will get utterly trashed by a PvP fit FDL or FAS. There's no reason to run a blockade in open besides roleplaying.

Starting play space engine again.. man I forgot how much time I can waste in 1 galaxy. Ended up finding the eye of sauron then this dying carbon star.

You run with other people supporting your power in a wing and they help defend you in dedicated fighting ships. A lot of the large player group powers that do powerplay organise transports with fighting defenders.

There was a great story when a player group UA bombed another powers headquarters (completely shut it down) they did it all in open by using anaconda's as bait and actually delivering the UAs in asps instead. There are so many ways you can do it in open and it actually makes powerplay an interesting thing to engage in instead of an another delivery mission grind.

Carbon star was cool but so bright I had to fiddle with the lighting some.

ofc the game fucking crashed. right when i found this galaxy that looked like a spooky skull

And the blockade just focuses fire on your much more vulnerable transport while ignoring your defenders. Even more so now what with how much firepower engineers offer.

Going solo has always been by far the most effective way to beat blockades.

you can use decoys, get high focus firepower ships like the fdl or gunship to take on attackers forcing them to change targets, make your type9 or anaconda hull tank. If you use an anaconda or type 9 not many things will mass lock you when you jump to escape so if your ships hold you can usually get out quick, you could also have interceptors in system ahead of time and interdict players marked as enemies (which is done often). Blockades in E:D are wings or single pilots instancing enemies there is no way to make a wall of ships. You could send more transports then there are defenders and then not everyone can be interdicted. There are so many ways you can around it and getting rid of solo would force people to use their brains and make it powerplay more interesting.

Make powerplay actually have an affect would help too, you can force a power just to their homeworld and next cycle they'll magically gain a bunch of planets. Once a lot of pvp players realized this the scene has died down since what they did really didn't matter.

LOL

Just focus fire on the trade ships and shred 'em.

if you build a trade ships with a lot of hull and shields a single interceptor won't be able to shred them, especially if the trade ships has shield cells and heat sinks. Who says you have to use a cargo ship either? get a cobra mk3 or viper3 (+dirty drives) and outrun the bastards. Use a gunship or Federal corvette and really hull tank.

Do you not know how to put pips into systems? The only thing that shreds are thermal weapons which are broken to begin with and need to be balanced.

So Space Engineers is on the humble bundle. Holla Forums serber where?

If you go on the mumble people occasionally make servers, don't think the game has dedicated servers you host a game on your computer and have steam friends connect.

Thanks for the link I like collecting pictures of science fiction spaceships and this guy has a large variety of well designed ones. Do you know of any other places that has collection of ships similar to this one?

MEh.

Endless Space was boring.

Is this a youtube export or did you make that webm?

Also, does anyone know how to outfit ships properly for combat in Elite: Dangerous?
I can't seem to get the hang of it.

I think people are excited because Endless Legend was really good.
The hopes are that all the good of EL and the better parts of ES end up in ES2.

Flames of War

here's the og link

The weapons are pack hounds and involve grinding max power rank with Li Yong Rui.

Pretty much fit whatever you want honestly most of the meta is around the ship you're using. Cheap meta is a fighter ship with pulse lasers for peeling off shields, with modded multi-cannons, railguns or plasma accelerators to snipe parts, usually the power plant. If I have a few hardpoints I'll have a couple for beams or pulse to remove shields then multi-cannons to strip hull. Putting multi-cannons on every hardpoint can be fun too for maximum dakka and it'll use a lot less power then beams so you don't have to micro manage wep pips too much.

The ultimate meta is FDL then the tier above that is FDL with fully modded thermal weapons.

Only if you are retarded.

Did Space Engine predict a planet around Proxima Centauri?

...

Anyone playing the new MoO?

That's only vips, only the luxury class cabins come with escape pods.

You won't be able to eject or cut off life support to passengers, if you take too long they'll just disembark at the next port you dock and you'll lose rep. You'll also lose points for boosting and generally flying rough, I'm glad they've at least made that a thing.

I hope we at least get some ambient cabin noises in the smaller ships where the pilot is close to the cabin, depending on the type of passenger you've picked up, otherwise the missions won't feel that different. Fdev have some solid sound design so here's hoping the do.

Elite did too, there's an earth like in the same system ingame.

I see. What'd a good Laser to dakka ratio be?
Say I have a Diamondback scout, should I have 2/3 lasers or 2/3 multi.cannons?I'm looking for one right now. Gotta have that maneuverability.
Also, should I go for gimballed ones?

Is Horizons for ED any good for it's price?

You know, the patch note for 2.2 actually give me some hope.
With storage I don't have to jump for hours just to get my combat ship to engineers. Nor will I have to put cargo storage and collectors on combat builds.
With ship transfer I will be able to participate in events far away from my home station, again, without spending hours jumping to it.
Fighters would make some ships, like the federal dropship, have some use.
Now if only the combat log could get fixed.

But sadly a shitload or people are having a fit on the forum because apparently taking a ship with a jumprange of ~15 on a +250ly journey is fun.

Since Ive started playing X3 again Im thinking about getting a flight-stick.

Im torn between Madcatz V1 (cheapest), T.Flight Hotas Stick X (comfiest), Speedlink Phantom Hawk (also cheap), and Logitech Extreme 3D Pro altho its pretty prohibitive in my price range.

Is there any one I SHOULDNT get in any circumstances?

Depends on how good you are at aiming, fixed use more power but will deal more dmg, I'd use gimbals just to be safe.
On the ratio, up to you, in the end you have to take down both the shields and armor so it depends on if you want to get their shields down fast and keeping the pain on the hull on or do as much dmg to armor when you get the chance, honestly it probably balances to the same time either way but if you do go for larger multicannons targeting the power plant might make the fight quicker when you do have the smaller openings. Also there is no reason not to fire everything at the same time, it just depends on you plant and distributor how long you can keep it up.

Depends on if you think you'll get your monies worth out of the expansion, keep in mind we also have multi crew and landable molten lava and ice planets in the 2.3 update that should be coming sometime around the end of the year, probably later at this rate. I find enough variation in the airless planets but you won't really see a lot of the variation unless you go exploring. No idea how much of multicrew will be locked behind horizons either, like fighters most of it could be accessible in the base game.

I've done enough exploration that 200~ ly trips are nothing but the convenience of being able to have access to my ships anywhere is too good to give up. Also these are probably the same people that say the gimped fa on flight system is ok because "meh gameplay" but this is apparently too far fetched for "meh gameplay". Also here is the list of ships that can currently fit bays, the dropship is too narrow for one I think.

Thanks user.
Last question.
Are the MCs more important or the Lasers?
I have to know which ones to use for the light and which for the medium hardpoints.

>basically the biggest dog in human sector on a shield beetle with lots of shit plundered from korath best at dealing with overheating my ass, 8 plasma cannons with 1k heat per second each and a disruptor beam to make sure all heat is delivered
I have a desire to just sell the fucking ship, buy a bunch of haulers and reenact the Convoy.

Yeah for some reason I assumed it was the dropship who got a fighter, I don't know it's supposed to drop things I guess.

Well since you're running a DB scout I'd put the multi-cannons on medium, they'll dish out more dmg for longer then the lasers with the low power output.

It's weird cause after the keelback the cheapest ship to hold fighters is the gunship which is locked behind considerable Fed rank and is pretty pricey. I think we might get a type7 variant which can hold launchers too, or another medium ship to fill the launcher gap.

The Dolphin has been seen in some of the Gamescom footage (the cockpit probably hasn't been finished) and the Panther Clipper is mentioned in files so there are definitely more ships lined up for 2.2.

Anyone have stories about Endless Space?
I got a good one, but it's a game I'm still playing.

And that's it. The Pilgrims have already atempted peace, but I don't make deals with backstabbers.
The Cravers considered me so savage and brutal they were afraid of me.
And I built a concentration camp to keep them in.

Thank you kindly user.

What ship are you flying right now?
What are you working towards?

ED can be fun but I do hope it improves.
Ayylmao coming is pretty promising so I'm looking forward to that.

Anyone interested in helping me with a list for this?
Since we kind of stopped discussing it last thread I'll take it upon myself to do it. I just need vidya.

And for the people who haven't played Endless Space:
The cravers are a faction that is brutal, war-like and they basically rape worlds.
Unlike other races, they have no diplomatic options except for "Declare War".
When Endless Space came out, if a Craver's ship sneezed, half the galaxy would cower in terror. They come. They take world. They feed on them, grow incredibly strong and proceed to facerape anything to oblivion.

But now?
Now I keep Craver's as pets.

I'm on my way back from Jacques now with a mining clipper. That's where I'm getting all the pics from. When I get back I really want to dirty drive my adder and fly like an annoying shit. After that I might try the grind for a corvette, I'd love one for when multicrew drops.

This seems to lack Space Rangers, Star Control, Endless Sky, Kerbal Space Program, Space Engine… really it lacks everything
I'd say make the first point a question "do you want an RTS or a space trucker", and then go from there with stuff like "more RPG" or "more complex" and such.

...

Your post would transmit the same message had you left it at one >(((SEGA))).
Don't shit up the thread like that.

...

Wrong

It wouldn't be the same

To fit ksp and space engine on a chart the first question would really have to be: Do you want a space game or a scifi game?

>They're still better than the rest of the big shops these days even in spite of being Jewish

Why?

...

I need to make a version of that for Sphess Fighters

Jeff Wayne's War of The Worlds (Yes, that's the title of the video game as well) was decent

SRV variants when, I want a racing SRV with a manual gearbox already.

And maybe a proper way to mark out racecourses besides other people's ships.

Madcatz items are almost always junk I know from personal experience Controllers, controller extenders, memory cards, all came not working properly or not at all

It just getting absurd, though due to the craver's science from battles my research went through the roof

I got one from an ongoing match, it's getting kinda dumb.

They became their own purge.

I assume you weren't in the last thread.
This was just a proof of concept. Those are just some examples. That's why I need games.

Sure.

The AI is kinda simple actually, they can be exploited too easily. Glad they fixed most of it in Endless Legend most, some eploits remain.
I dislike the fact that they make Siege fleets and Combat fleets separatly. You lock down 5 fleets of them, kill the combat one and now you have 5 fleets of ships with no combat power to grind XP on. It's quite stupid.

Well you could add:
Rouge System(Attempt at making DSC in Space),
House of the Dying Sun(Looks rather arcade like but also fun),
Distant Worlds(Very detailed 4X game from what I have been told)

And of course for the never ever mode Star Citizen and ED.
And get X3 Reunion outta there

Well made a start. Got bored and decided to go for tea and biscuits.

Fuck I can't spell

Pretty good, although I'd remove the ground combat stuff.

...

I feel adequately insignificant again.

Well I made an attempt at the strategy version of this.

I might use these to make a very large compiled "spess general" image.

I wonder about this chart though. GalCiv2 and Stellaris are pretty far apart, aren't they all 4X?
Mind you, I've not played GalCiv2.

I put Stellaris and Gal Civ apart mainly cause Stellaris is real time and Gal Civ along with a lot of the games like it are not, but yeah I see where you are coming from. I did change "Full 3D isn't my bag" to "Something simpler" and may rejig it a little

Why isn't SotS on here? Not the sequel mind you, but the first one.

To be truthfully honest? I ran out of room.

I wouldn't worry though I'll probably be remaking this at some point, probably going to switch the 4X with RTT positions so games like Stellaris are closer to Gal Civ which will give me more room

Does anyone know of any mods that fix Starbounds blandness? Or preferably any games like it (terraria in space) that are better? Yeah I know you hate the game but I didn't know about the games history before I bought it.

For some reason I had a flag saved. No bump

Eh got myself the T-Flight
The only problems I have with it so far is the somewhat loose throttle and the way too short connector cable, my G15 is way to wide to fit inbetween the throttle and the stick.

No Distant Worlds? Distant Worlds is infinitely better than Stellaris will ever be. It is easily in the top 5 4x space games ever made.

Reminder that not everyone has played every game and, even if they did play that game, perhaps didn't think of it at the time.

HD webm bump.

Is ED worth buying in its current state?

Space Yahtzee is cool.
Finally finished with all four members on the command module. I dread to think how hard hardmode is.

Took a plunge in a black hole in Space Engine. In dear need of existential terror reaction images.

E:D is fresh for about 60 hours. The game is not a complete facade. But it gradually becomes more boring and by about 120 hours you'll be wondering what the fuck you're doing with your life. And friends don't make this game more fun.

Only you can determine whether that's worth it. I'm not pissed I bought it, but there are other space games I got for ten bucks that I've been playing for a decade.

No. Not until the improve player interaction

On sale perhaps, if you enjoy the combat and comfy mining/trading/exploration, they can be repetitive and grindy but finding some roleplay reason or other players to do it with can make it more fun. There are also player groups you can jump into that do mass expeditions, proper pvp powerplay stuff and background sim manipulation. Recently we've had the creation of the fan group colonia-citizens-network which has been created for people currently working on expanding the Jacques bubble to communicate and organize events/working together on the Jacques community goals. Keep in mind all of these groups use discord to communicate so that might be a deal breaker.

On horizons

If you think the game hasn't got enough come check back in a year, they should be rolling horizons into the base game once we get the next season so the longer you wait the less you'll have to pay for more content. Also the game is only as grindy as you want it to be, most of the early game trading/combat/mining is very much the same late game except you're moving/killing more, exploration is the exception as the best jump ranges are currently possible in an anaconda and multi-crew might change this as well.

So since Ive got a brand new flightstick and honestly cant remember shit about where I left off on my last playthrough, Im just gonna start a new playthrough now with more pew pew and hopefully accelerated cash gain.

Imma play Litcubes with Phanon+, diverse game starts and some shiny GRAFIX.

Now should I dump that shit in here or create a separate thread?

you where bitching about the story and now its not relevant?

Distant Worlds is nowhere near as good as people make out.

...

That is fucking scary.

Video of another world!

If you go any closer you'll find Oprah Winfrey!

Now instead of dying of heat dmg what Fdev needs to do as you fall in is for everything to go black and you watch as your ship's cabin slowly cracks and implodes.

Gee golly I bet it was those darn white Christians who are responsible for this!

Detroit could be fixed if Broken Window Policy was implemented, the same law enforcement theory that the former mayor of New York Guilini implemented to successfully drive crime rates down and turn New York from a slum to an alpha+ city in less than a decade, but libtards are so fucking dense they think Broken Window Policy supports racial profiling. Niggers are just prone to violence, facts are just racist I guess.

Welp, cryptic has gone full jewish overlord on us.

arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10131073-r&d-pack-promotion

They've been doing this for ages. Thanks to the fags that bought lockboxes, they are the ones that enabled this.

The thing is that previously while there was some sorta R&D pack thing going on, they offered some completely random out of the woodworks ship, like the Elachi dreadnought or Annorax time traveling temporal deletion gun toting ship.
Now it's the ship literally everyone has been asking them about since the game started and now they finally bring it into the game but it's only available via literal lottery where tickets cost you 3 bucks a piece.

Yes and? They did it with Bugs, Gaylords, and countless other ships people wanted. What did you think this would be any different?

I guess this is more of a fuzz to me personally because i am also one of those fuckers who wanted a tier 6 connie.
But like hell im gonna use money on this god damned lottery of theirs.

Just buy it in the exchange user unless they fucked that as well? I haven't played in 5 years.

The problem is the price mainly.
I have just and just 20M EC and this thing is probably gonna cost the max amount plus some keys.

No no no. We just need more of dem programs!

Well guess you're fucked then user?

Yup.

How come there has never been a good Starship Troopers game?

There is:
Helldivers.

Just checked it out, is it fun?

How is my garbage scow?

Fuck no.

Without the sphere monolith thing and it's texture it looks really bad. The terrain is shit and 99% of the game is looking at terrain.

the simultaneous turns made playing against the AI a fucking chore

Got the link from another thread.
There is some impressive stuff in here but the audience is fucking gay and clap for everything.
We'll probably see this game at the gamescom for four more years and 1.0 won't even have all the things that were promised.
I'd love to be proven wrong of course but I doubt that'll happen.

You know I'd be up for SC but the community is beyond insufferable. Quite literally seeing the shit they pull and how they react drove me away.

We'll just have to wait and see. It's nice to see they've gotten their cryengine tech working properly.

Will the new tech just work?

Muh dik

First white bats
Now this

Fucking love you Amplitude!

Probably not, it'll also keep running terrible on older computers like mine, I doubt they're going to try much optimizations either since it's a PC exclusive.

Was gonna give it a try, but then the Sega thing happened and put me kinda off mood.

Should agree. After SEGA only pirate their games.

Come on, user. Just look at her.

Gonna give them the benefit of doubt. Sega's involvement tells bad but there are plenty of worse publishers out there. And the DLC with Endless Legend was borderline scummy even before Sega. I did still buy them because I like the idea of supporting studios to stay independent, but how that went… Hope they don't assume that people will be as willing to diverge from their cash under Sega's banner.

Correct.

it was also a joke

Any space game where I can build ships and visit other planets?

Spore.

How do you figure the wings act during sex?

Anything without googly eyes?

Makes sense a that you can't supercruise near a blackhole cause gravity makes the Fdrive to go haywire. It should pull you in and you have to maintain a certain speed to ensure you don't fall in.
I kinda wish you could fly really close to some stars too since a few types would be extremely cool

This thread it is.

Started with an M3 and 5xM5s, sold the M5s and currently globetrotting to buy used ships, then repair and sell em, while also picking up OY VEY unused ships just lying on the side of the battlefield.

I guess they flap in the rhythm of sex? Close together during ejaculation?

Not bad, but it's hard and interesting to deal with them like they were part of their anatomy. What's are the comfortable limits of movement? I assume they are fused with them, so they can't just abandon them somewhere like gear. But then again, they aren't born with them, right? Is it some sort of initiation of adulthood-ceremony where they get them? I think they don't actually flap that much. Must be some sort of channeling thing, like sails or aerodynamics, but with Auriga's bullshit science magic energies instead of air. How do the Allayi relate to skyfins? All this should be known, even if it's a fantasy setting, you still have to treat it with clear and rationalistic manner to make it immersive.

That's the beauty of it. It's dust magic, doesn't matter. I guess it goes how it feels right.

Well, they're both guardians of Aurga meaning it's some kind of convergent evolution. Two different species evolving together. Is Aurga sentient to an extent or was? Because she might've guided them. Her protectors and their companions. I like to think of them in such a way. Unless you consider Skyfins just as intelligent, in which case they're different castes of the same society, I guess.

All this "magic" are just a Dust = Nanomachines. Some races activate and use them in different way. So Auriga are just Living "supercomputer" what create different races (this proto Crystal race or Necrofages). Dungeon of Endless is a spinoff about Endless laboratory where they experimented with different races.

Allayi was a Auriga invention - not Endless experiment, ok. Praise the Auriga.>>10483910

Epic

What the fuck is he even saying?
Context?

Kerbal Space Program?

I fucking came. Missiles are still the one thing I haven't really done.

Anyone got a Missile boat fit for Elite? Something preferably Vulture or Lower in terms of Cost.

You modified a base ship design

Good for you.

EDF!
There's a almost dead thread but anons do play it, too bad toddposters are too busy playing their favorite game instead of this goat, this game needs publicity.
It also has almost nothing to do with space but why not bump a good thread

I've realized I really need to go to a High Conflict Zone to see a Cap ship….I need this.

The sequel to that game better be Giant Incests in SPHEESS!

Pretty rad.
The game's visual and sound design is top-notch.

EDF is THE prime Starship Troopers movie vidya.

I doubt it. I assume you've not played it yet?

They actually managed to get 100 players into the instance at one point, it fell to 50 as Fdev's servers started dying. The best part was when they jumped the servers had a heart attack for a good couple of mins.

anyone hyped for star citizen?

...

i know that feel, cried looking at the gamescome presentation, cant wait to play it.

RE ENTRY

I am pleasantly surprised

Sounds to me more like you've not played it?

Is Endless Space 1 worth playing at all?

Worth it, but once you get into it you'll realize how broken as fuck the game is. It was clearly meant to be played online.

I bought the game day 1 laddy.

SPAZ2 might be that eventually, depending on how spacey you want it. It's pretty much naval combat in space.

...

Starsector, perhaps?

They throw their shit covered wallets at Chris Roberts.

Not yet.

...

Multiple capital ships in Ngadakhis right now. Two CZs had double Cap ships and one had a single Farragut

Well I played the current Sheckel Citizen alpha for about 2 hours and the current gameplay is quite fun with multicrew. Someone spawned a constellation and me him and one other went round murdering pirates. I ended up piloting and it was quite fun managing incoming fire on the 4 shield sides while also lining up the crewmates on the upper and lower turrets. It was fun until I landed to repair and refuel which cost almost all the money I made and then when I tried to leave the ship got stuck refused to throttle down/leave decoupled mode, slowly flew into the pad and exploded on impact for no good reason, I got a criminal rating for killing my crew allah akbar style then the game crashed.

Don't buy into the alpha, you'll spend half the time clipping out of the ship and troubleshooting, it's a buggy mess. It has been recently optimized so my PC doesn't run it as horribly but I still get freezes which are just great when piloting a massive ship around asteroids.

The flight model is still my favorite part, the connie is slow but you can switch between cruise and normal flight to give the shields a break and lineup for another run.

I got on this ride for free and boy is it wild.

The Peladies nebula is getting more Fed cap ships as the barnacle crisis heats up, probably for the Thargoids too.

CZs cap ships are a random chance in high intensity CZs. They arn't persistent like the ones showing up in Merope.

The SC ship i really want to fly is the Genesis passenger liner. I suppose I'll get something like it when E:D's Beluga drops.

Is that another ship that isn't designed for combat but will be stupidly buffed to be better than dedicated combat ships?

dog bless external macros

typing out sattelite drop coordinates manually every fucking time is a fucking hassle

dose modded skyboxes doe

wish me luck dickwads Im gonna boom-zoom that motherfucker with a hammerhead

too bad I got cucked out of the kill by the defense platform

You'll receive a medal for it user.

Also does anyone want to make the next thread or can I?

I'll make the new space thread in a moment

New thread

Would this quick nude edit I made as an exercise soothe your pain?

Pointing out flaws is welcome.
