DEEPEST LORE EVER

Highest salt potential with the brochure showing hidden cappies, which is brilliantly placed behind the locked door you can only unlock by finding all the cappies.

*nevermind the fact stronium has a half-life of three decades and it can cause cancer with minimal exposure when ingested.

What the fuck even is this?

Is Fallout 4 still really unoptimized?

I remember it would max my video card with fuck all around me, and it would still look like canned ass.

…though there may be other cappie brochures, I just never found another one.

REAL FALLOUT. SEE IT EVEN HAS WACKY SCIENCE.

dunno never touched the settings, it might look better but I'll never know (especially with this monitor).

Also the only usable ladder in Fallout ever.

Are there any futa mods?

Looks like something I made in hammer.

It's called advertisement.

as someone with a STEM degree, I really cringe at reading this hack crap. Thankfully I uninstalled after getting the power armor 20 mins into the game

You would imagine a raider town would have something like that don't you. Like I dunno, mention of sex along the pile of dead bodies skinned alive. But not on Todds watch.

suck my colourful deick

Fanfiction. Except not, because it's canon.

Isn't the point that the company doesn't give a shit? Or am I missing something?

Bethesda a shit.

A glowing bottle of stronium would be more then enough to kill someone and it is what makes nuclear fallout scary. As in it is one of the, if the biggest shit, that poisons the land and causes long term pollution.

Sometimes I would think that Bethesda couldn't kill Fallout any harder.

Yet every time I see Nuka World stuff I die a little more inside.

It's like somebody wished 'I want it to be more like Classic Fallout' with the Monkey's Paw

Nobody fucking threatens their employees like this – it lowers morale and company loyalty for no gain whatsoever. Threats come individually after the employee fucks up, not in mass correspondence

So, everyone's retarded. Gotcha. In fact, this would explain all of Beth's lore – the radiation of west coast had a strange effect on the inhabitants, making them all mentally challenged

is that a brain jar

It's the creator of Nuka-Cola's head.

Is the alien blaster you get from the hubologists different to the one you get from the crash site?

The Nuka world shit isn't even Fallout

They literally made a cliche 1950s-era Crappy Carnival Trope land

Another extension to the amusement park, then.

that damage control tho

Remember that crazy nuka collector Sierra from FO3 (me neither), she sets you on this quest to collect clues to meet creator of Nuka Cola. Ultimately you find his personal Vault accesed via an elevator (not exactly hidden) in his office, which was only inacessible because of a wooden door and windows barred by shitty planks. You head down and find a personal vault (not a personal or corporate shelter, a personal vault-tec vault which never got sealed). Where his head is in a snowglobe (SEE IT IS A FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS REFERENCE. A SNOWGLOBE IS A TRINKET THAT CAPTURES A SCENE FROZEN IN TIME. YOU COLLECT THEM SO MR HOUSE CAN REMINISCE. FALLOUT 4 CAPTURES A WHOLE PERSON IN A SNOWGLOBE SO SIERRA CAN DO THE SAME). He says he is tired of doing nothing for two centuries and his sins (by sins he means custom ammo for fatman which never entered production).

You either kill him or leave Sierra with him in the vault so they can talk. By talking I mean a line from Braderton saying he would rather die and a second one when you press talk again about how much he enjoys her company.

I also love how you can't go Ceasar by turning them into a nation and one up New Vegas at least once because that would be a nice thing. I can't wait to joing BoS as the Overboss of Raiders who took over more then half the settlements in Boston.

Let's also not forget the fact that Strontium-90 is absorbed by your bones as it is accepted as if it were Calcium and your cells end up absorbing almost all of the radiation because it hits you no matter which direction it goes. Also where the fuck are they getting that much Strontium-90? I get that there is a shitload of it from fallout but I doubt they would detonate nukes every single time they wanted some.

Nuka-Cola was lore raped since FO3 with all the radioactive Nuka-Cola bottles.
John-Caleb Bradberton is alive and sold weapon designs for immortality. That is the secret of Nuka-World.

That image never fails to make my blood boil. Like I'd understand that response if someone was criticizing the minutia of the exact science involved but this has absolutely nothing to do with "realism" but having goddamned consistency in your story telling and would've been fucking avoided if any of the writers had played the original.

This happens sadly too often and I cant understand why, is it so hard to have at least one writer that knows the source material to check the writing and avoid shit like that?

Your daily reminder that Fallout 2 had time travel, aliens, and enough shitty 90's pop culture references to bankrupt Buzzfeed.

Fallout was always inconsistent. Deal with it.>>

Bethesda still a shit

Dont worry I'll bite

How's any of that inconsistency? Nothing on fo2 contradicts anything set on fo1

The aliens and all that are just easter eggs, no one blames fo4 or 3 for it because it's (sadly) become a recurrent theme, but contradictions like that pic are the problem

Also this

Bethesda is more consistent. Consistent on being shit.

When Chris Avellone made a mistake with the canon, he admits.

Reminds me of why Borderlands 2 was so completely shit, even compared to the first game.

Burch basically didn't bother playing the original game, nor the wiki, so he just filled the game with memes hoping nobody would notice.

...

Are there any Fallout 4 mods that make the game tolerable and not boring?
Any recommendations?

Fallout 2 treated those as optional jokes. They were never a part of the main course. Fallout 2 never had an entire expansion built around the aliens.

Bravo Todd.

The funniest thing is, so far fo4 hasnt had the same mod enthusiams NV or even 3 had

To put it short, no one's working on relevant mods

People ask the same question for every Bethesda game, and the answer is always no.

The real problem with the games isn't even the gameplay, few cRPGs actually have gameplay that isn't shit, the issue is the writing and linearity.

Once you've slogged through the retarded story, seen that there are no choices that actually have consequences or any real reason to replay the game again to make different choices and experience content you couldn't in the previous playthrough (because of choices or character build) you can basically see everything the game has to offer the first time you play.

I'll never understand how people can put in 200+ hours in a Bethesda game, there is fuckall to do beyond the godawful combat.

Don't get your hopes up. Community support for FO4 has been pretty lackluster.

Your daily reminder that all that shit was a joke and presented to you as a joke in Fallout 2, and Bethesda's writing is so poor they took it seriously.

The aliens in FO2 weren't even canonical. Nobody actually references them.

Why would it be funny?

The game story pigeonholes the player into a specific character, which is something the community absolutely hates, and on top of that it's far harder to mod FO4 than previous games, with more stuff hardcoded and impossible to change.

How could they get away with making the most boring and wasted potentials in this industry's history and yet manage to have them sell like hotcakes?

I know right, hilarious

Speaking of mods, is it true that you can still load morrowind assets into fo4's engine?

I wish that Bethesda's modding community would fuck off. OpenMW is hope. Stop supporting Bethesda.

Mod enthusiasm is poor because anybody with talent is being driven off by fucking morons and children stealing them, doing a quick conversion so the mod runs on the console version, hosting them on Bethnet themselves, then begging for donation money so they can be paid for other peoples' work in a roundabout way. Bethesda doesn't fucking care even if you prove it to them that your work was uploaded elsewhere on the internet long before some Indian stole it to beg for rupees using your work. Last I kept up on any of this there was a script-extender used for the PC version Fallout 4 that was both used to actually accomplish anything interesting in the game and didn't work on Xbone, and was being purposefully utilized to essentially make mods incompatible with the console versions by default. I also remember one or two "kill" mods that could flat-out brick your entire Xbone if installed and run.

Yeah, because you didn't literally travel back in time in the second game to start the plot of the first… And I didn't canonically cheese my way through the wasteland with an alien gun, huh? What about people turning into discount zombies from radiation exposure instead of, I don't know, dying? Oh and something about psychic computers leading an army.

Face it, if you could see through you cognitive dissonance, you would realize that Fallout lore was a mess of contradictions from the beginning.

As for Mothership Zeta, it was barely even a paid mod, some of the guns reused old reload animations, and audio logs we cut out in a half-assed manner

...

Pete please go back to your play pen.

Pete pls.

...

Not trying to defend that user, but you guys are giving that mouth-breathing faggot Pete way too much credit.

Might as well ask how BioWare are still in business after two of the most notorious flops in vidya history.

I wish they'd find a good game to channel all that autism into.

Yeah, many in the community threw a hissy fit, and Bethesda's predictable mishandling of the situation only made shit worse.

Not that you can even make anything worthwhile for consoles that isn't graphics or asset replacements.

Yeah, the script extender. Can't do anything really worthwhile with modding without it, and it will never be possible to make it run on consoles.

Nah, that was merely a hoax someone played on the console peasants. Still, it was a marvelous salt mining operation by one enterprising individual.

At the end of the day porting modding to consoles has just been a disaster and further pissed off a community already disillusioned by attempts to push forth paid modding.

I wonder how they will fuck it up even worse with the Skyrim remaster.

This is just my opinion but I honestly believe it.

Dicking around for hundreds of hours in shitty games like skyrim or fo4 is still more fun than most things.

I understand that the problem is most likely me. I feel like I'm having fun. I don't need every game to be a masterpiece.

Honestly, I trust the opinion of someone who has put 200+ hours into a game more than I do someone who quit after 10 or so, as the former has experienced more to be critical of.

If anyone spent 200+ hours in a bethesda game, half of that if not more is probably trying to figure out mods and how to not make the game crash every 10 minutes.

Actually I do remember her. But only because it seemed so dumb that a complete airhead like her, with no competence or survival skills at all was doing so well out in the supposedly super deadly and dangerous wasteland. Somehow she wasn't just surviving, but living comfortably and collecting tons of nuka-cola merchandise and had lots and lots of caps. She was the perfect example of how Fallout 3 couldn't seem to decide how grim and serious it wanted to be.

And just so we're clear, I'm not saying it absolutely should have been super serious and grim, just that it should have picked one tone and stuck with it. Some random girl obsessed with soda and managing her own personal memorabilia collection would have been fine if the wasteland was consistently treated like that sort of thing was normal and going above and beyond mere day-to-day survival wasn't a big deal. But nope, half the time they treat stepping outside a settlement as practically suicide, the other half random soda collectors and people deciding to be superheroes is totally doable.

Don't be silly. That's not a Fallout: New Vegas reference. That's a Futurama reference. ;)

Time will tell if they get away with it or not.
The thing that a lot of people are not aware of is that the early/preorder numbers of a game that exists in a franchise are based not wholly on the merits of the game, but on the reception of the previous game as well, when the sequel is a part of the prior existing franchise.
To clarify prior game reception doesn't impact the sales of the next title when the next title is a reboot, be it soft or hard, or a gameplay reimagening.

For example Devil May Cry
I can't find the charts, as it seems Capcom removed them but I can still find the data. As you can see Devil May Cry 2 outsold Devil May Cry 3 in its original release.
For those who do not know this, DMC2 was considered to be the black sheep of the series before DmC:DmC came out.
The performance of DmC:DmC and DMC2 are very similar, both are mediocre entries but both also came after a well received title.

Ghouls in Fallout 2 were the result of a mixture of both FEV and radiation. This was the held method of both Chris Taylor and Chris Avellone and was considered canon in the fallout bible. Avellone was later convinced the accept the radiation only method.
On the subject of ghouls, in Van Buren there were plans for "Born Ghouls", Ghouls who were born from Ghoul parents

It was mentioned by her in the game.

It is. Textures are 4k from scaled up 512x512px texture and is slapped on everything from faces to planks. Gamework fucks it up with useless Tessellation and other un-needed shit.

There is a texture pack for FO4 that has 1K texture and makes the game run with 20FPS for me. And those textures like damn fine.

...

Wouldn't be surprising. Since the Creation Engine is just a slightly modernized Gamebyro Engine.

I'm not sure there's enough to it to warrant spoiling it. Feels like it'd be a waste of time for not much of a payoff.

Frankly speaking, if Bethesda had any brains they' invest in creating their own engine or buying the licenses for a new one and then, from the ground up, building it around modding, because they sure as fuck aren't competent enough to make decent games.

That's what some people said about Far Harbor.

What you need to understand about Bethesdrones is that if there's even one feature that wasn't revealed before release that's spoiled for them, they'll get terminally asshurt. Pretty sure people weren't expecting them to have fake Walt Disney's head in a jar.

There wasn't much to the main game or the other DLC either.

Retards will still get salty, NMS barely has any content and they got really asspained about the spoilers.

I must have missed that. I don't even know what there is to spoil, considering there's literally nothing in the game.

Thats what made the salt so great

That's what they spoiled.

Kek.

Two keks.

THEY ACTUALLY DID IT, THE ABSOLUTE MADMEN

Also Fallout 1 and 2 had usable ladders~

No they didn't, you had to use rope for everything.

Greatest scam of 2016?

You'd think they would, because say what you will about modern id Software making games, they are leaps and bounds ahead of Bethesda in terms of making a functional engine.

Considering both are owned by Zenimax, one assumes going to a studio that has some level of technical competence would not be out of the question to make a new engine. Or they did and asked to make an upgrade for an engine that's getting a little long in the tooth, but they're familiar with, so it's brought up to a modern standard despite its issues.

Either way really, what we get is Bethesda's typical marks of excellence in the form of consistent problems regarding every facet imaginable due to ineptitude, laziness or simply not caring. New engine or "New" engine, it really doesn't matter.

Possibly. Is that Star Citizen thing going to materialize this year?

so there's nothing to spoil?

I feel like another big reason modding enthusiasm is poor is because GECK was delayed and was (and probably still is) a broken piece of crap that can't make anything worthwhile. That, and because this game has absurdly low replay value, not many modders are going to come back to devote time and effort to mod a game they're not going to play for long.

...

the whole evil corporation thing doesn't even make sense in Fallout considering there was an international crisis and the feds were taking control of everything. the whole thing seems like it was written by a schizo.

What?
Quantum isn't some new thing the FO4 writers made up

It's like you shitlords hate fun or something.

Wrong. The rope was rarely used.

It was introduced in FO3. It should have limited the radioactivity to specific varieties instead of all Nuka-Cola.

Maker of Nuka-Cola is alive and sold weapon designs for immortality. That is the secret of Nuka-World.

It isn't really that aliens were non-canon but they were unimportant. Making a DLC that implied that aliens started the war changes it from "War never changes because people never change." into "War never changes because ayy lmaos.".

The guy working on OpenMW is having health problems. I hope that it is Zenimax's Jew voodoo.

Edit

Even if he does finish OpenMW, what then?

Most of the community seems to be focused around Skyrim and turning it into a survival sim or Dark Souls wannabe, with a few devoted fans making quality content for New Vegas (and two fuckhuge story mods that might as well be their own game).

Will anyone give a shit about Morrowind when most of them haven't even played the thing?

Non-optional ingame modmanager.

I would tolerate the gun problems to a degree if the in-game weapon mod system had at least resembled the concept art a little more.

OpenMW is developed along with OpenMW-CS. You can make new games with it. Also, OpenMW being open source allows people to make changes not possible with modding.

Bravo Bethesda.

I really can't understand why it's so hard to make a decent gun costumization mechanic for the game.

MGSV, despite all its faults, actually manages it, and while it's not that realistic it allows for interesting mixing and matching.

In FO you have access to conventional firearms of every class and caliber, gauss weapons, lasers, plasma, grenade and rocket launchers, etc.

And what does Bethesda do with it? Makes memes.

Fingers crossed that when it releases the mod community picks it up then.

Coordinated spoiler campaign when

Is that another thing Bethesda simply made up or was it ever stated anywhere that the CEO of NukaCola was some kind of super genius like House?

Take a wild guess

All easter eggs and jokes you nigger

Bethesda introduced and retcon a lot of things about Nuka-Cola.

I'm fairly sure it's a reference to the urban legend that Walt Disney's head is somewhere cryogenically frozen, considering this is a Themepark DLC.

That would have made sense if it was based on a cartoon company or even a comic not, not a fucking soft drink company.

What did he mean by this?

Link or you're full of shit.

He wasn't a super genius, he was just a dick who let the military use Nuka-Cola for chemical weapon research & development.

The success of Disney and the success of Coca-Cola aren't comparable stories. It is like writing a character making a train station but giving him Steve Jobs' personality.

That thing has some horrible textures

I love that the piece in the front is clipping out of the water

there is not a single FO4 character that has dialog anywhere near as well written and full of details as that.

That shouldn't surprise you, the old games had tons of detail especially in the writing.

Notice '97 claymation have better facial expressions then '15 game.

Bethesda woulnt dare to write dialogue like this

Remember kids, when playing beth games such things as sex, non fictional drugs and dark themes dont exist

Sage is used not to bump threads. Simple as that.

Yes and no. They're all .nif files, but FO4's nifs are slightly different to account for the new lighting and physics and whatnot. A few tweaks in NifSkope, and yeah, you can load up Morrowind assets in FO4.

You can also open FO4 files in the Morrowind Construction Kit, although what you can actually do with it is a bit limited. Most of the more "complex" early FO4 mods were made using the Skyrim CK since FO4 is basically just running on a customized Skyrim engine - using the same formlists, keywords, papyrus scripting, etc which the Morrowind CK didn't support.

You know what works better than replying to people and threads you don't like? Ignoring them. People like you keep money in the pockets of SJW clickbait writers. Grow half a brain and maybe (1)'s like me won't see your shitty post and bump the thread you hate so much nigger.

1/10

The pathetic thing is that Bethesda has the same understanding of "mature" as BioWare does.

To Bethesda "mature" is zany humor and references to pop culture, gratuitous violence (making Bloody Mess an integral feature, supermutants hanging mutilated body parts in their hideouts, etc.) and shitty allusions to drug use.

They never actually engage in honest to God mature themes dealt with in a mature way, never show the player situations that have no clearly defined "good" and "evil" sides, never bother punishing him for his actions and reminding him that he's in a virtual world where consequences can exist.

To Petey and the Toddler all their games are them parks, with no depth or thought put into them.

It's just how it is man, just how it is. Still you can play Fallout 1/2 pretty easily and there's patches for them to work at modern resolutions I haven't finished Fallout 2 myself and I really should.

Forgot image

I've gone through both FO1 and FO2 about 4 to 5 times each over the years, ever since I bought them around 2001. I'm kind of burned out on them.

I'm actually waiting for the Arcanum balance mod to be updated (maybe never) so I can replay it without succumbing to the urge to cheese it.

I've only finished Fallout 1 once and haven't completed Fallout 2 yet I'm not very old, only 22 man. To be honest with you My first Fallout was 3 and these days I think it's fucking awful, not only was it broken it's a different thing to the actual Fallout games, I call it a spin-off where everyone is retarded and the bombs just landed and we all escaped vaults

isn't red easiest on the eyes?

Green is

Fuck I got the leak but it keeps crashing as I approach the station

Fuck you Todd, I just want to see firsthand how badly you screwed the already deformed, incestuous-bred mutated, carcinogenic pooch

Red preserves night vision, and is perceived as dimmest, but it isn't necessarily easier on the eyes.

The funny thing is, they had a decent, some might even say great grasp on maturity back with Morrowind. How can you screw up pretty much everything that made your previous games good in just one game, and never again make a good game from then on? Morrowind should've been the game to bankrupt Bethesda and Zenimax as a whole.

Didn't they fire the lore writer(s) behind most of original TES in general and Morrowind in particular?

Todd keeps putting that dumbfuck spic in charge of the writing because they're buddies and it shows. He lacks any grasp on narrative or creative quest design and keeps vomiting out whatever his subhuman burrito brain comes up with.

Creating a high INT character and finding Myron to talk about Jet and then later convince him to tell me about how to make a cure was one of the most rewarding moments in FO2.

Myron, Baby, Myron!

Who else became a boxing champ by simply one hit KO every opponent with a cheap crotch punch with the boxing gloves with the metal bits in them while playing a character with only 5 STR?

We know Michael Kirkbride left the company for some reason, but no one knows why because of how shadily Zenimax operates. They're a disgusting company, absolutely putrid. Supposedly each TES game has a new team, I doubt that though, because Oblivion and Skyrim are equally abysmal pieces of shit.

No one, because hitting below the belt disqualified you if you did it more than once.

I want them to make another game on their shitty old ass engine and then when they release the game, the engine has so much crap on it in this new game that for every player the engine just poops out halfway through and the game becomes nearly unplayable and no patch can solve it, I mean, how much can their engine take?

I actually was never disqualified.

I'd chalk that up as one of the game's many bugs.

Most likely, since also, after the opponent was already down from the crotch punch, I'd beat them senseless in the head until the game decided the fight was over, glitchy, but damn satisfying, mainly with the guy that rips your ear off.

I remember reading the testimony of that id employee he posted on plebbit where he talks about Zenimax trying to Jew one of id's artists out of his Team Fortress 2 hat shekels.

I guarantee you he left because he didn't want to take Zenimax's shit any longer, much like all the talent from id jumped ship first chance they got. They seem to burn through talent like EA does.

You can have all the code monkeys and artists you want, but if the dumbfucks in charge stay the same the game will keep on being shit.

I remember that video Bethesda released a few years back where they showcased what their in-house team came up with with their mod tools. There was some pretty nifty stuff there, so it's clearly not an issue of talent. Embed related.

Everything in that video is probably less than functional though, the video exists only to display "the power of Skyrim's construction set"(or the lack of power without script extension). I'm not saying it doesn't look better than what was released, it does, but if this were released then the game would be infinitely buggier and less functional, which seems impossible, but this is Bethesda we're talking about.

Going to re-install this game. Wish me luck

That's really no excuse though. They made all of this in a week, and it's kind of silly arguing that the game would be buggier when Skyrim was already a massive bugfest barren of content.

One needs merely take a look at textures and their positioning, as well as the meshes, to know how sloppily everything was done.

All the video proves is that there is (or was) talent among the developers over at Bethesda, so the reason the games are so shit must lay elsewhere.

What would skyrim & fo4 be like without bad management?

Like Morrowind, but without the shit combat.

...

...

just when you thought you couldn't hate Bethesda any more…

OpenMW is dead anyway, it's been months and it's moving slower than it ever has before, and that's if you ignore the work that went into the OSG port since it was retreading the same content.

At this point you may as well write it off just like XLengine

0.4.0 is coming out very soon, the release commentary has already reached 6000+ views while unlisted.

They have to leave some content for modders.

Bethesda did go to id for help with Fallout 4 though, id did almost all the work on the weapons and gunplay.

Yes, you read that right, literally the only good thing Fallout 4 has over it's predecessors was fucking outsourced to another developer.

I heard the GECK was actually decent, you're right, however, in that the game's absurdly low level of replay value hampers creativity immensely.

You can't do alternate starts anymore, you can't add new perks or traits thanks to the shitty animations and limited space on the perk tree, can't really define your build because skills are gone, can't be evil because Bethesda didn't write in any additional paths aside from the linear heroic route, can't mod in new companions because the PC is voiced, can't mod in any new quests because the PC is voiced, can't mod in any new factions because the PC is voiced. The voiced protagonist fucked things so hard that it pretty much sinks the game, as I knew it would the moment it was confirmed. No new dialogue options open up based around your perks or skills, something that even Fallout 3 had, as shitty as it was implemented.

The only thing that kind of extends replay value is the fact that it has multiple factions to choose from to finish the game, but even then, none of them seem to meaningfully impact the ending in any significant way, since only one slide can change.

Beth made nearly every wrong decision the possibly could to actively sabotage the potential modding support and replayability of the game, and that's not even talking about the Beth.net shenanigans with fucking consoletards stealing mods like a bunch of stupid kikes.

Fallout 4, thankfully, was the game that broke the camel's back for a lot of people from what I've seen. Still a smashing success, but with a more mixed reaction than any of Beth's previous titles.

Too bad it's a nothing release, and it's all downhill from here.

...

What do they possibly need you fucking nigger? OpenMW already imitates vanilla Morrowind 99% perfectly. The rest of the work needed is for the CS.

what the fuck dude

It's actually not all that surprising, I put in about fifty hours before dropping this piece of shit, a character who had an intelligence level of 8 and was level 70 by the time I quit.

You gain XP absurdly quick, especially since you can't walk ten feet without getting bombarded by a gang of fifteen enemies.

**Redguard isn't that bad of an adventure game to be completely honest, it just suffered from the insanely clunky controls, If I had to rate ES games I'd go Morrowind>Daggerfall>RedGuard>Oblivion>Battlespire>Skyrim>Arena

If I wanted to play Morrowind I'd just play Morrowind, it already supports more mods and the MGE-XE already supports a lot of graphical features that OpenMW doesn't or does poorly, and it runs better than OpenMW. The CS is still a mess, you can't edit shit, you can't rotate placed objects, it crashes all the time, search functionality doesn't work, you can't section off objects, I don't recall seeing any scripting functionality in the CS.

I'm beginning to think OpenMW will hit 1.0 by itself and then the project will be shelved due to lack of interest, people will have the open Source Morrowind engine but due to the lack of modding tools it will go nowhere, major projects like TR and PT will still be made in vanilla CS and will be worse off for it.

There is absolutely everything wrong with level scaling and infinite levels.

Redgaurd's alright, I'll admit I have yet to play it all the way through, but from what little I did play I found it enjoyable enough.

Morrowind will always be the best for me, Daggerfall's dungeons can suck my fucking dick, Oblivion has decent quests and managed to hit the sweet spot between action game and RPG but I hated almost everything else about it.

Skyrim is shit all around, pretty much, but I can almost make it fun with enough mods. Not enough to get a decent return on my investment considering how much of a pain in the ass it is to get it to run with the nearly 200 or so mods I need plugged in to enjoy my time with it, but that's just kind of how it is.

Were was that? I must have missed it.

Bethesda quality writing

Was it really a smashing success though? It didn't look to me to have reached anywhere near the popularity of Skyrim, and the reception went from lukewarm, at best, to outright hostile, and this is longterm Beth drones.

Todd acknowledged they fucked up with the dialogue system, but I have deep doubts Bethesda is capable of learning at this point, since their development process seems to be just an ever accelerating effort to remove any and every feature they can from their games until they just ended up with a godawful 7 Days to Die clone that somehow manages to be subpar to an Early Access survival "sim".

They even decided to not release any new information about TES 6, and if there is any truth about their claims they'll set it in niggerland we can expect an even more tepid reception than FO4 got because, despite all protestations to the contrary, no one wants to play in a place where every NPC is a nigger, on top of them sucking out any complexity left from FO4 in favor of more lego shit.

It's even worse than that. Writing quality varies, and it's hard to get it right, but this shit speaks of a much bigger problem.

Bethesda has no fucking clue what Fallout is supposed to be about, even when the prequels to FO3 goddamn open with "War never changes". To Bethesda this isn't the guiding maxim that everything in Fallout should adhere to, this is a meme, a catchphrase they can use for marketing and little else.

Their filthy beaner writer has no capability of grasping what a setting, be it Fallout or TES, are about or should strive to me. He simply takes his pants down, presses his shit stained spic ass onto the paper and proceeds to shit out the burrito he had in the morning. That's how the writing process for Bethesda games goes.

They'd be better served by hiring Gayder even, at least he has some understanding of how plots work and how you can implement choices.

ah, whats that fucking song?

how appropriate

bottles in the mojave desert

Ending of Dvorak 9th Symphony

A lot of things happened when the bombs fell according to Bethesda, something important happened before the great war? Most likely it happened when the bombs fell, why? BECAUSE SYMBOLISM/IRONY/TIMING

How "Progressive" of them. I mean even Fo3 had a room where Raiders fucked (It's where you pick up the Love Tap in the big sawmill crawling with raiders and a Behemoth).

It reminds me of NV for the reason, THEY MANAGED TO DO IT BETTER THEN Fo4 AGAIN. House at least got his whole body to be preserved and had the god damn sense to hook up his pod to all his robots. And even if it is just a brain in the jar thing, The Think Tank had autonomous flying pods with manipulators and lasers.

To be fair she did have that guy hanging around making sure she's safe since he wants to put it in her Which ties into my first point, Bravo Todd. Are there any Prostitutes in Fo4 coming to think of it?

Nuka World is out in Beta form. Speaking of which has anyone gotten it to work on pirated copies? Mine keeps fucking up even after I've done nearly everything to get it to work. I grabbed an earlier DLC because a torrent said it required it for some reason, and the 1.7.12 patch seems to fuck it up even more.

Are you insuniating that Fallout 4 writers are talentless hacks?

You would be correct.

I swear their aim is to trigger people who have a passing knowledge about nukes and Fallout gaems in general.

Also I think the game really wants you to fuck Gage since "Romance" comes up even if you don't "Flirt". Incase as if "Nate"s character was all over the place enough.

What in the holy mother god is that old Enclave armor doing there? And who painted it blue?

Also Bethesda, since Skyrim has a thing for fucking romance in videogames.

Oh, Enclave armour? It is on display which requires a park-wide scavenger hunt to get, which is right across Vault-Tec's recruitment station for its space program. There is also a T-51 painted in red/white with Nuka-Cola written on its chest in a random spot along a rider.

And no I'm not making any of this up.

I just got a patch and dlc, not buying this shit in a million years.

Pic related, either the writing is as childish as it gets, or the game is being meta for once.

And they won't even bother to explain how it got there right? Gotcha

Chemistry and physics are not very different especially when it comes to look at interactions between elements/atoms

If you don't mind me asking ie I'm requesting a spoonfeeding where did you get your patch and DLC? I got my from Skidrow and the first thread respectivelyAre you using the CODEX release?

I really don't remember where I got the dlc (a torrent apperantly) but I had to download another file for english voices and pathc 1.7.12.

But really, this one is purely masochism.

You probably got them from Skidrow as well then. I'm going to install a fresh Codex pack, and see if I can't get the Workshop dlc that Nuka World Requires and a cumulative patch to try and fix things And jesus fuck is this game file size bloated. I was wondering if it'd be possible to to have a version without any textures and maybe mesh since those get modded almost instantly and would save a good size I feel

Also a major question I have is WHY THE FUCK DO THE DLC REQUIRE OTHER DLC TO WORK? What manner of Jewery is going on at bethesda? Do people need to pay for the other DLC if they want it to work? JESUS FUCK.

It doesn't. The games probably getting fucked up from stray files in your data folder, UI mods are especially guilty of this.

So not the bought version but pirated version seems to. But the alternative is the a UI mod is fucking it up? And it's most likely the Full Diolage mod since everyone has that. Well done bethesda.

my post is unrelated therefore I won't bump the thread
