Thinking on it now, I think it's tells a lot about what she thinks about while serving in the militia. It reminds her of her home town that she grew up in that was sieged by the imps. It reminds her of the sorrows of seeing her whole life taken from her, but it also gives her hope of a future to rebuild and continue following her dream to be a baker. It isn't just so you can identify her in game, it serves as a reminder of hardship and hope Alice holds onto as she fights.

but, even so, at the very least, fast healing was directly mentioned in cut scenes. At the very least, chapter 8, where her leg gets teared to shit by artillery rounds, gets healed up the next day. Even if she just sprained ankle, it takes longer then a day.

And the other tank in the squadron is an undersized support unit that looks like it would fold under two bazooka shots. The militia troops you can recruit are a mixed bag of patriotic citizens who couldn't make it through the requirements of the main army, a few underaged kids who really ought not to be on the battlefield, anti-social lone wolves who balk at orders, and some suicidal fuckers with serious mental issues. It's a miracle Squad 7 managed to do anything.

Cops don't just walk around with their handguns out, safeties off. No, they're peacekeepers, they keep the peace, and part of that is not scaring the people you're around to the point where they think of you not as protectors but as tyrants to be killed and overthrown. Also you're probably overestimating the power of a gun in close quarters. There's a reason cops are still taught martial arts.

Then you have certain units that hate certain things from other units. Yes, I guess that's suppose to add in some depth into the units, but fuck man, it's a war and fighting the bigger bad is a bigger issue than being hindered by something like someone's gender.
