I don't think there's enough evidence to say Mew is a god. Definitely the descendent of a lot pokemon, but not any of the legendaries. And it's quite clear that arceus created the creation trio with his "thousand arms" which are the unknowns, even in the movies, Unknown are always there when it comes to creating something, or the creation trio are involved.

Maybe you just have a bias towards Mew? If you look at the big picture, Gen 1 doesn't tie very well with entire lore of Pokemon.

The point of the comparison is that it's retarded to say that it's ugly when it only follows the same exact formula as "good" designs like Blastoise, or any pokemon I've pictured.

Following a formula doesn't guarantee a good design
If blastoise had a worse color scheme/pattern, or the basic design was handled in a different way, it could easily be shit
You know, like mega blastoise, which follows the same "pattern" (this hypothetical perfect design pattern in your mind just being "animal + colors + literally anything else = good") but differently than the standard blastoise, and people shit on that constantly when it was revealed

Turtonator is a product of taking a real-life animal(Mata Mata Turtle) and exaggerating its features, and also giving them a theme. The grenade-launcher nose is the same as Blastoise's Water Cannons. The spikey shell is merely an exaggeration in a similar vein to Sandslash's spines.

They have a better color scheme, and while exaggerated their featuers are not as garish as Tortunator. In Tortunator case the color scheme definitely isn't helping. The yellow should be a highlight to the red not used in equal proportion and the skin should be black since bright red works better on black imo.

i get what the user is saying about the yellow but without it doesnt stand out. The yellow makes it like its exploding which is a theme of the pokemon being fire. Black and Red makes it look like a dark/fire pokemon

I'm not sure I agree, the dull beige helped it be identified as the actual animal. While it could use some of that, I think the yellow probably is the major reason it doesn't look that good. A nice orange would have probably fit much better. Maybe a gradient effect would work? Or maybe different colored "rings"?

So I just found something odd in ORAS. After you beat the game, go to Lillycove Department Store, and go to floor 5. Or did you find it and I just missed out on it because I got everything before I beat the game even though I'll never use it.

Stunfisk has its typing for type Balance in Gen 5. A lot of Pokemon in Gen 5 have bizarre typings because they wanted to include pure types, and a good plethora of each type since the main game was just new Pokemon. Fun fact, the Jellicent line was originally Mono Water, and the guy who designed them didn't like it when they were made Ghost/Water since he didn't want them to be deadly spooks.

But yeah, holy shit this typing sucks. We could always use Bug/Water Pokemon, not another Mono Fighting type. Hell, Kingler would be relevent if he was Bug/Water.
