I personally don't quite think Bernie was a sellout, but he is CERTAINLY a poor tactician. Refusing to issue so much as the tiniest squeak about rampant electoral fraud? Continuing his campaign past California, and then turning around to concede just before the convention? Failing to fund downballot primaries against his political enemies?

He's still our best guy on the inside, both for his principles and his public exposure, but he deserves reprimand for such incompetence.

The least he could have done is not a full-throated, no-strings-attached endorsement of Clinton. He should have made her fight for it if nothing else.

I think Bernie running as an independent (or a Green would have made more sense) could have had a serious shot. It certainly would have been the more powerful third party showing from the left (instead of rightist Texas billionaires) seen in a long time.
