Most people are sick of the political class altogether, and that's probably the main reason for him winning, but the fact the DNC failed to secure decent margins on some completely standard constituencies (they won people with income below 50k/year by 52-41 while Obama got it 60-38 for example) which could have provided a safeguard against this.
So the lower classes are still with them, but they're deserting. With Obama making decent numbers on the economy, people who struggle with jobs and income should be flocking the DNC, but something is stopping them. I believe this something is fucking Lena Dunham.

Actually yes,,, the SJWs encouraged spooky voting blocks,, the black vote,, the Hispanic vote, etc. This strategy worked in our nearly always painfully close elections. Get a group to turn out and push you over the top.
But you cannot appeal to the largest demographic group, White Straight people who don't have college degrees because that group playing identity politics is politically incorrect. Trump broke that rule. Trump found a way to appeal to White straight guys who didn't go to college, got 70% of their vote and now he's going to be sworn in as president.
Obama won his painfully close elections by getting nearly 90% of the black vote to push him over the top and no one said a thing.
The next logical step in use of spooks to win elections was to find the largest demographic and turn it into a voting block. It might be unsavory to you, but you have to see it's effectiveness.
