omg lol WANT

It is acceptable because people accept it.
Now imagine a DMC5 and all the people on Holla Forums who would accept censorship, costume DLC, and early access shit since this is what we're having to deal with in one of their main game series

Holy shit capcom, I knew things were bad, but I didn't think 25$ for the same colour bad. Fuck me.

Please, Capcom fans, stop playing SFV.

Meanwhile I'm hearing in Guilty Gear you can get shit like this for free! Free!

I've been a Street Fighter fan for a long long time, but I can't take this shit anymore. I bought SFV at launch because I know it was going to improve over time, and they said all DLC can be earned with fight money. And all DLC cannot be earned with fight money. Premium costumes cost FOUR DOLLARS EACH, as opposed to the bundle of 5 for 5 dollars in IV. Also, also! Also! Even when you buy a single costume for four goddamned dollars, you still have to grind for colors in Survival mode, which has to be the most poorly implemented mode I've ever seen in my entire life in any video game.

And I'm still stuck here, like a battered housewife because I'm under the impression that after the Capcom Cup SFV was rushed out the door to meet, the game will start seeing major improvements. There are no major improvements. I thought they'd slooowly start trickling down with each update, but training mode doesn't even save the settings. I'm stockholm syndromed. I'd move over to Guilty Gear if I didn't lose 80% of health for looking at the opponent wrong, I'd move to KoF if I was a Mexican, and I'd move to Mortal Kombat if I wanted to take chip damage for 40 seconds at a time while buying a new game every year.

I'm sure that's what a lot of people that bought it at launch thought,

So what did you say beforehand about the censorship and lack of basic modes when the news came out and you ignored those red flags?

They didn't stop after realizing that they've ben lied to straight into their face.
They won't stop now.
"Fans" have been educated nowadays in a way that any form of critisism is unacceptable and needs to be souted down with any means nessecary.
Doesn't matter if they hurt themselves in the long run as long as that sweet feeling of a short term victory is achieved.

Probably the same train of thought someone has when they're being mugged and hoping they won't be shot.

But in seriousness, I figured I was going to buy the game eventually, so it wouldn't matter too much if I got it while it was unfinished. I mean—it wouldn't take them too long to add some stuff down the line. You know what, any problems with the game will probably be slowly but surely fixed with each monthly update. I won't have to possibly wait until the end of December when Capcom Cup ends. That'd be crazy! Hahahahahhaha ahah aha aha ha ahha ha ahahaha

BUT FIGHT MONEY
the go to defense of a capcom fighting game fan.

What annoys me so much is that they have to fix just…just a couple little things at a time and people wouldn't be disgusted with them. Maybe one update training mode saves settings. Maybe another update Ken's face stops looking like someone smooshed a playdoh ball. Just a little bit at a time.

But you know whats going to fucking happen, they're going to save all the updates towards the end in a big patch or something, and in order to get the casuals back, Capcom will call it Super Street Fighter V. And sure, owners of SFV will just automatically upgrade to it–but I bet Capcom will throw in some incentive to buy a physical copy of SSFV, like some special DLC that I currently can't earn. That would be a disaster of a move and would cause people to pop a vein in anger. So Capcom will probably do that.

so can you or can you not earn these colors with fight money
also, are they 25 dollars EACH?

As expected of Capcom, only they could make DOA5LR DLC seems like a good deal.
It could have been slightly better maybe even acceptable if it was like the ASSFAGGOTS and all the money of the DLC sales would go for the pot of the Capcom Pro Tour but I doubt that.

SFIV was shit at launch too. And the community really enjoy USFIV, I guess they forgot the long years it took for it to turn out good.

You can not earn these colors with fight money.
They are part of a special Capcom Pro Tour fund DLC. Said DLC comes with a stage, a title saying you donated, a costume for Chun-Li, Cammy, and an unknown character, who is Akuma , and a special CPT color for everyone in a garish blue and yellow. The entire thing is 25 bucks.

It's really hard to give a shit about supporting the CPT when the game itself doesn't even punish ragequitters.

It's not. Honestly, it's a bit confusing. Things were never this bad with SF4. Sure SF4 didn't start out amazing, but it was competent, and shaped up to be a really good game until Ultra happened. It's like somebody smacked Capcom in the head with a hammer.

I don't think all the money goes to the pot, I think like…half? Three quarters? In fact, I don't think we were ever explicitly told, just that the money would help the CPT. Capcom never told us how much of the money would actually go to the CPT. I forgot to mention that Capcom has a huge communication problem, which is extremely detrimental considering I bought 60 dollar work in progress.

why can't you just stay at SF4/USF4/SF:A like every sane person left in fightig game community (= 0)

$25 for each individual color scheme?

Terrible communication is plaguing the entire industry though so I can't be to harsh on Capcom. Plus with rumours of Darkstalkers actually resurrecting and a possible follow up to Project Justice they know they fucked up with SFV hopefully they don't just tug at my heartstrings with Project Justice and if it's just a HD re release they better include a translated School life mode.

Weren't there already costumes you can't get with fight money?

I mean I could kinda understand costumes being cheap DLC but re-colours at 25$ is just un acceptable.

they aren't even good recolors, they just slightly changed the hue

SFV tagline

It was the best move I ever did, and huge combos actually work well; when you feel great for implementing them you don't care if you get hit by one, and beginners don't use them anyway. GG is just amazingly enjoyable compared to SFV being frustrating. I used to bash my stick in anger at the game, not even the gameplay, just waiting and bullshit, but in GG I had a great time experiencing getting gud.

If not guilty gear then do it for KoF. They are putting in a lot of love and care into the game, and while I think this is the first in a series of fighters for SNK (so they might release an update), I still think it deserves all the attention it's getting.

I bought SFV early because I was like you and figured I was going to get it anyway, so may as well be as early as possible to learn, but it didn't feel too bad to just give up on it. I haven't lost anything. I've gained something.

wait, so can you not get this character without paying?

DONT BUY IT IF YOU DONT LIKE IT

...

...

I have to wonder if Capcom is just desperate to make any money back now that the game seems to have flopped. Maybe people don't like paying full price for a rushed incomplete game, who knew?

With a price tag like that, you'd think it would be an expansion pack instead of shitty recolors.

I'm actually suprised by that.
Either a turning point is reached where the plebs don't drink every jar of piss that is offered, or Crapcom didn't had enough marketing for it.

I was told you can get all DLC with fight money, all of it. However, the only costumes you can earn are shitty costumes that are in each character's story mode. All the good stuff are behind a pay-wall, and a four dollar pay wall to boot. Not to mention, that the story mode costume seems to be the only costume that you can get with fight money. Right now, Karin has 3 additional costumes. I can get one of them. Who knows how many she'll have that I can't get 2 or 3 years from now.

Oh, and once you spend 4 dollars on one costume, you still only get 2 colors for it. The other 8 have to be grinded out in survival mode.
See, for some strange reason that I can only describe as gross negligence, survival mode data is counted towards a specific costume, not a specific character. Meaning that there's different survival mode data for Ryu costume A and Ryu costume B. Easy is 10 Rounds, Normal 30, and Hard 50. That's 90 survival mode rounds if you want to get all the ten default colors. For every single costume you either buy or unlock, that's another 90. Like I said, Karin has 4 costumes, including her default one. If a Karin main wanted all of their options open, they'd have to play 360 rounds of survival mode. If they don't happen to lose round because the only heal option is the Low Health Bonus 3 times in a row. Oh yeah, you can buy health or damage bonuses with the points you earn in survival mode. Of course, the options given to you are all random, so you can very well end up having Full Health Recovery on stage 2, but Low Health Recovery on stages 45 - 49.

If this all sounds tedious, don't worry! You can purchase colors with either fight money or actual money!

Not gonna defend Capcom because this pricetag is out-fucking-rageous for a stage, 2 costumes, and colors, but it's pretty disingenuous to just put the colors as $25. I mean, I get it, you want a riot because Capcom is shit, but at least tell what else you get in the pack, because if you don't, you may as well be clickbait. Either way, this is unacceptable and no one should buy this. Also the Claw CPT color is 100% better than all the others, but that doesn't mean much when Claw has shit costumes and colors.

Capcom nowadays is too fucking lazy to do any extra work when they could release the arcade version and call it a day.

Yeah, they need to drop that shit, it's antiquated. At least I know I'm getting a complete game and won't get jewed into paying money for stages and recolors. Also there were two years between the two versions of Xrd currently out and there's a washlist of changes that completely shits on Capcom's SF updates. Especially when considering their final version of SF4 was 90% reused assets from SFxT.

kekekekekekeke at least it's not battleborn ahahahahahha FUCK

oh wait, battleborn is a good game. shit.

...

the anime man in your picture looks hurt
are you so offended by good games that you need to audibly pronounce your state of being triggered

Blunder of the decade?

This is a Street Fighter thread, yes.

...

Making up misleading bullshit to hate Capcom is a faggot move of you to pull OP. There's so much shit wrong with this game that I wouldn't think you would need to make things up to garner hate.

archive.is/frGOZ

This. I had a feeling OP was full of shit to make it seem like each color was 25 dollars for just that one character. People need to ask for sources before jumping to conclusions.

Reminds me of the shitty things EXAMU would do. They would make slight alterations to games and then charge an absurd price at arcades to replace the old Arcana Heart version. Like how AH3 Six Stars has only 1 new character and arcana.

Stay triggered, battered housewife.

The image is misleading, but the amount of money they're asking for what little that entire package offers is absolutely disgusting. Especially when they're trying to cover up their blatant attempt at overpricing DLC to make up for SFV's shitty sales with this sentimental "for the community!" shit.

Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead you. I figure people generally knew about the details of the CPT DLC; I just wanted to highlight how you're paying 25 dollars for exclusive colors that look like other colors. This is evidenced by the fact that I already explain what's in the DLC in a previous post in this thread. So no, it wasn't an insidious plot to make Capcom look bad that you had to step in to stop.

We need a more accurate image.

...

Regardless if someone makes "misleading" bullshit, the fact of the matter is that you are paying nearly 30 DOLLARS for nothing more than COSTUMES and ALTERNATE COLORS. I don't think the details of how hard you're getting fucked matter at this point, because you're still getting rammed in the ass. That is fucking heinous any way you look at it. You should be getting a fucking expansion pack for that money or at least the FINISHED version of SFV.

I figured it was $25 (or $AU32) for the colours. It turns out it's FUCK ALL ELSE, too. I'm generally used to spending $AU0 on colours or costumes for most games, so it's a bit much for me.

Honestly don't mind SFV that much, as I'm not amazing at fighters and probably don't understand the intricacies of the game too well, but I know when it's devoid of features, laggy, and I'm getting ripped off.

Believe it or not, you CAN get the retail version of SFV for that amount of money.

The costumes in IV came in a bundle, 5 for 5 bucks, I remember. Sure, that means if you only wanted one costume, you ended up with four more you didn't want and if your characters were in separate bundles you'd have to make some hard choices. Now that we're in an age where alternate costumes cost 4 dollars, I'd gladly take a bundle deal. They could even go for 2 dollars per and that wouldn't seem so bad.

Pointing out OP lying isn't the same as saying Capcom did no wrong. Especially when I said "There's so much shit wrong with this game that I wouldn't think you would need to make things up to garner hate." I play Koihime Enbu, Garou, and DFC: Ignition. I don't even play SFV.

Yeah I know all of that. It is absolute bullshit especially when they have never needed to do this. What do they need more money for? You haven't even finished the damn game Capcom.

Post a source next time then instead of just all caps. That will only promote shitposting. It's really rare to see people apologize on this board.

When will Capcom become Namco Bandai tier with costume DLC? They announce cosmetic DLC for Tales of Bersaria before it's even a month away from release. [email protected]/* */ has over 500 dollars of DLC from costumes alone.

Meanwhile nearly every other fighter gives you a great deal of colors to mess with. DFC Ignition gives you like 18 colors and they're unlocked even through vs mode. Arcana Heart 3 Love Max gives you like 18 colors as well. Then there's Melty Blood with 20+ colors and UNIEL with 15+. Even GG and BB give you a ton of colors for free.

Oh, my sweet summer child. Darkstalkers are dead.

I didn't intend to imply an insidious plot, but I see way too much reactionary shitposting on this board. Can't really help it, though. Shit's way too fun. I just want our posting base to be similar back to the first exodus, rather than what we've been seeing for the past 6 months.

In that case, I'll make sure any threads I make in the future have more clarity and have proper sourcing.

making skins is hard work goyim

it takes like 5 minutes

SFV isn't exactly bad. I like some parts of it but it's so obviously rushed that a budget game like Nitroplus Blasterz can come out with more features, characters, and a working online mode. Yes I can understand stress could have fucked the servers but they even did multiple stress tests before the game was released. Then it was down for 2 weeks. They only had one poor guy working on the network until the game was released.
cgmagonline.com/2016/05/19/street-fighter-vs-netcode-reportedly-handled-one-employee-launch/

Though the censorship was very minor, they did it anyway for e-sports despite their fans not wanting them to. And they never changed it back after fans complained showing they don't give a fuck what they have to say. And the funny thing is they still told the players to cover up R.Mika during EVO. They make sexy costumes at one point and censor the game at another.

For the few times I've had fun in SFV with friends. I've had way more enjoyment playing other fighters that had way more features on release and didn't cost 60 dollars on release. Hell I just got done getting my ass kicked in Garou which is a fantastic game. Glad I got Last Blade 2 as well when they put it on PS4.

Thankfully it's not all lost yet. We can still have threads about niche genres like JRPGs, dungeon crawlers, fighters, shmup, roguelike, and eroge/VNs. Good luck talking about those on 4/v/.

I've had more fun playing Melty Blood then I have any SF game, they've always been the least fun to me.

Muh community.

More like Piss fighter, am i right?

That's because blue and yellow are the capcom logo colors. Carlos, you retarded spic.

Chill, I was just taking the piss out of you.

is this real life?

Don't these go toward CPT? That's why it's so expensive. still, if you don't care about pro tour then there's no reason to buy it. None of the colors are very good
OP you should be more mad about the DLC costumes that can't be bought with fight money OR the season pass, gotta get those individually. They're not even in a bundle or some shit

what the fuck

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, technically they do. However, Capcom didn't even bother mentioning how many of the proceeds go to the CPT pot, which makes this awfully suspicious considering the percentage of proceeds were mentioned everytime this was done in the past, and all the more obvious they're just looking for an excuse to sell low effort DLC at ridiculously high prices. Sad part is, capcucks are eating this right up.

Chun-Li's thighs make me hard af. All the porn of her she either has no musculature like in SF2 or she looks like a fucking bara.

Last time I checked, a guy named Haunts who works at Capcom Unity said he was gonna write a blog post detailing all of this stuff. Last time I checked he was putting the final touches on it and should be finished within the week.

He said that three weeks ago.

I commend you for trying but the hivemind here has never cared about facts, only things that support their confirmation bias so they can shitpost.

That's what bothers me the most. All the drama surrounding the censorship and at the end of the day it still wasn't enough. ESPN hosts a magazine of nude women, but video game girls are a whole new entity apparently.

does anyone know the answer to this?

Yes, you can get that character without buying the CPT pack. The CPT pack just includes a special CPT costume for that character, along with one for Cammy and Chun-Li. Since this character is a secret and wasn't alluded to or even talked about, I'm guessing they'll make a surprise appearance down the line after Urien.

Is this new 25 bucks pack? At least in the previous one you could get two or one stage, don't know if it's ridiculous or insane.

Add to that the fact that they did no good new game besides MonHun and cashgrab re-releases.

Also, every one of you who bought this piece of shit doesn't deserve even a small pity. You deserve everything what you've got. I hope they'll leave shitty online and unfixable input delay as features. Also, jokes on people who bashed ArcSys for being Jewish while defending Capcom and supporting them.

It's part of the previous and only 25 buck pack, not to mention the exclusive titles!

Many artists don't handle muscles well. At least when it comes to showing some form of muscle definition. It's either thin and no muscles, thick or 2% body fat. There is the occasional one that can do fit brown girls like the artist XXIII.

This place isn't a hivemind. If you explain yourself in detail you can get on the same page as most people besides that one guy who doesn't even try to read your post. I think the problem is many are too lazy to even explain themselves. So people right off their opinion as either uneducated or irrational/reactionary. If this were really a hivemind, I would have been quickly banned for shitposting. I believe it's corrupt mods who create a hivemind like in Neogaf. Everyone not on line gets silenced quickly.

It's all for those e-sports fame and money. Meanwhile at AnimEVO, nothing needs to get censored and there are more games to play. Crazy thing about AnimEVO is seeing how much the JP community has evolved with these games compared to the out of touch US community. Blade Arcus was a massacre as most US players didn't know how to even touch Rage and his 60% damage wallbounce YUKIHIMEEEEE combos. In Fighting Climax and Melty we had a few US players get far. Haven't watched the Full Boost tourney (shit kept crashing during the stream) so I have no idea who won.

At least we got Dragon's Dogma PC. I just want MH on the Vita or on a damn console again. The Vita is perfect for MH due to the second analog. As for Megaman, I say leave it dead. We've had enough of them and if I wanted more, I would play the Touhou Megaman clones. Speaking of which a new one came out during Comiket 90.

capcom apologists need to fucking go die, they've enabled this horseshit for too long

What we need is an experienced capcom dev who's worked on the street fighter series for a really long time to create an indie project and revive the glory days of street fighter in a new IP. Give him maybe $4million or so to make it happen. It's the perfect solution.

Buyer's remorse is a tough pill to swallow. Better to be delusional than realize you fucked up.

That kind of happened already. Except it was a dev from Resident Evil 2. He made it on his own time, sold it for free, and then proceeded to give the rights away to get money to donate towards a natural disaster in Japan.

On top of that, Vanguard Princess is a good game but the ecchi aesthetics scare most people away. It's like SF2 but with a parry function and a assist mechanic. The assists can be used like a burst (similar to Blade Arcus) or to add to combos. Combos are very shit with the biggest ones being about 4 hits and even that's rare. Parry gives a huge meter bonus and a successful parry can be canceled into specials like Garou: Mark of the Wolves. It's stupid fun if you have a friend to play it with. Thankfully I have a friend who's open to playing crazy games.

It's like you don't know that fighting games outside of SF and MK are niche. Don't forget that SF4 was the first fighting game for a huge amount of people who consider themselves a FGC or fighting games fans, if you discount MK of course which no one really treat seriously, not even NRS themselves. This is why with SF death the rest fighting games will still stay niche, SF5 fuck up showed it pretty well. Maybe it's a good thing after all, it means that fighting games will never be dead.

It doesn't make it less cashgrab title. I'm not saying that it was a bad idea, I bought it too after all, but DD and the rest of their ports just like Dead Rising upcoming port doesn't make Capcom suddenly good and competent and people started to believe that Capcom is good only because of their cashgrab re-releases. Can't wait to see what they going to do with that RE2 remake next, I expect it to be on the level of RE4 instead of being like first Remake or Zero. And I'd like to get MH games on PC honestly.

I just didn't expect US players to get schooled so badly even though I knew they were going to lose. Then again there are some players who just seem like they're not human. Can't seem to find the video anymore but I saw one of the "GOD" rank players in Arcana Heard 3 SS play in a video. He was throwing out so many crazy cross ups and shenanigans that it was just completely overwhelming.

In other news. Es looks pretty cool and her theme sounds good from what I'm hearing.

Thankfully God Eater 2 Burst is coming to PC and that game looks pretty fast paced and hectic compared to MH.

I tried playing Vanguard Princess once, but it's so busy that I can barely see what's happening. Just look at the character select screen and how cluttered it is.

It is a very vibrant, colorful game and it did take me a while to get used to it. Due to the pacing of the fighting however, it wasn't hard to get used to seeing what was going on exactly. It's a pretty slow paced fighter. Though a little faster than Samurai Shodown V.

I just realized that too. It only started getting really good once SSFIV came out. Is this just a thing with fighters where you should just never buy the first iteration? MvC3, MKX, GGXrd, SFIV, and Injustice were all followed by something better soon after. Maybe there should be a golden rule where fighting games just shouldn't be bought until like a year after release.

Vanpri is a goddamn great game.

Xrd Sign doesn't belong in the same category as the rest of those, the system changes from it to Revelator are pretty minor.

I miss 2005
