So while I was looking through the election results and found like three or four different socialist parties. Is there any ideological difference between them? If not, why don't they just form a single party?

Sectarianism is for snowflakes
if the cadres of those parties were younger they'll be on tumblr with amillion pronouns

While all anarchists are socialists, not all socialists are anarchists. Also, disagreements on whether the state are a means or a goal to full communism. Reformists have it backwards, as they believe in changing the system from within. Infoshop had a meme on this topic that got banned on Faceberg.

...

What meme and why did it get banned?

The only parties I'm aware of that ran Presidential candidates were

Socialist Party USA, which is a "multi-tendency" radical socialist party which is opposed to vanguardism, putting in opposition to the other three parties

Socialist Equality Party, which is Trotskyist

Workers World Party, which is Marxist-Leninist and Proletarian Internationalist

Party for Socialism and Liberation, a party tha is also Marxist-Leninist and Proletarian Internationalist, because it split from the WWP due to a squabble over leadership. The PSL is essentially the Gloria La Riva Party.

Where is the reply button.
8ch.net/leftypol/res/1037165.html#1037418 is the banned Infoshop pic. Faceberg probably couldn't deal the analogy since ISIL even though a death cult on steroids, it still wants a state.

I hate sectarianism, so I'm trying to find a way to make anarcho-Lacanian-Leninist-Marxian-Stirnerism work so I can get along with everyone.

SEP is the only actual Marxist party on the list. The others are just different flavors of liberal and tankie.

That's what many are trying inside the Greens anyway.

Greens are just liberals.

Not anymore.

And many would have taken issue with that label even in the '80s and '90s.

That's just re-branding to appeal to the Bernie crowd and the politically confused. In Europe there are tons of parties claiming to be "socialist" or "anti-capitalist", but they haven't done shit and when they do gain power they've just sold out. The reformists have stabbed workers in the back every chance they've gotten and you'd have to be completely ignorant of history to think otherwise. Greens are liberals and no amount of lip service will change that.

Doesn't change the fact they're liberals.

And here we can see why they don't just form a single party.

They just passed an explicitly anti-capitalist amendment to their platform.

Let me repeat myself

Holy shit that documentary was awful when it came to Marx(ists).

I mean, it was kind of shit in general. It's pretty telling about the entire perspective of the documentary that it ends with the fall of the Spanish Republic, it was the worst case of wanking of to the dusty bones of past glory I've seen in a long time.

This is fucking stupid

we should make another party to unite all socialist parties tho

I imagine the revolution will be spearheaded by a coalition rather than a single party.

You're wrong.

Proof? You want me to list off all the times reformists have betrayed workers or enabled/supported fascism? Do I need to explain why voting is pointless? Maybe you should sit down and study the history of the left and how it got to where it is today before you throw your support behind a bunch of opportunist liberals that will capitulate to capitalist demands the second they get a taste of power.

The anti-capitalist amendment was written by genuine socialists and passed with unanimous support at a summer convention that was also teeming with genuine socialists and even communists. I'm a socialist. I'm a Green now. I'll do my best as I know many others will to steer them in the right direction. It must be so convenient to sit on your hands doing fucking nothing when you resign yourself to the inevitability of history.

Just like all the genuine socialists and communists involved in and supporting the SPD or SYRIZA or Podemos or Labour or..? I wonder how that worked out.. :^)

Registering for the Green party and voting for their shitty candidates every once in a while isn't doing shit. If anything it's worse than doing nothing because your giving legitimacy to an illegitimate system. If you fucking cared about doing anything you'd be busy organizing on the grassroots level with some half-decent organizations, but you've never read an ounce of theory, studied ANY of the left's history, or spent a single day working toward any meaningful change. Useful idiots like you are what allowed fascism to take root and you will once again aid the capitalists in redirecting the anger of the working class. kys fam

Doing a lot more than that fam. I'm building an eco-socialist party, finding candidates to run, and engaging in activism for very things as many Greens do.

And I am btw. Believe it or not it's possible to do both at once.

99% of the time you'll be party building. Hope you realize the mistake of reformism faster than I did. Particularly so for a party as shitty as the Greens. Would like to see your local party leader's reaction if you brought this up.

Should read this as well for a little insight into the mistake you're making.

I certainly hope so. Maybe you'll be able to offset the damage you're doing by aiding the enemy.

About to watch the series.
Can you point out the flaws just for reference.
