Millions will die, and it will be expensive, but we will still have civilization. There are other problems, of course, like antibiotic resistant bacteria, and that should worry you. However, even then, we will find a way. Humanity will not go extinct, but you better find yourself a piece of land well inward, or you will go hungry in the future. Capitalism did this. For people who want an idea of how inland to go, the current "worst case" scenario is 2m sea level rise by 2100 from pre-industrial levels (we're currently on 13cm I believe). This is despite the fact there'll probably be enough carbon and methane to melt the polar ice caps completely which would entail something like a 60m rise, because the earth takes a while to respond to these changes. The 2m figure is from the IPCC who have a political need to make things sound bad but manageable, so it might be worth increasing this to say 4m, and also delta/wetland regions will experience a much greater sea level rise (x2 possibly) due to land subsidence. This is bad because a large proportion of crops are grown in delta regions, plus millions live there, and you can imagine what happens with displaced peoples + food shortages (actual lack of food, not the same as "famines") .
