yeah, i made it some time ago and never had a chance to use it. Might make some more on other cool brazilian figures.
Link?
What we need today, in this situation, is a Thatcher of the left: a leader who would repeat Thatcher’s gesture in the opposite direction, transforming the entire field of presuppositions shared by today’s political elite of all main orientations."
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Parem de se iludir amiguinhos.
Where?
As opposed to what? Are we going to have a socialist revolution at the peripheries of Capitalism again? Has that worked in the past?
We must continue struggling with petty social-democratic reforms until the working classes in the developed world takes new steps towards equality. We follow their lead.
Infelizmente.
Just passing by to leave this here, thought you might find this interesting:
What to think about this? Should it be dismissed as only a movement by Third Way SocLibs "intellectuals", or can we have something good coming out of this? I seriously think the Brazilian left should try to follow the steps from Podemos and the candidatures of popular unity in Spain and try to build a mass movement with the main focus on "left issues" such as social inequality and unemployment, some focus on ethics and anti-corruption (yeah, I know it has become cliché), but trying to find support outside of the already established left.
Also, anyone here in a school occupation? What are you guys doing to organize? I'm just staying home as a NEET.
Can PSOL be fixed?
Just let it die already.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE ORGANIZING?
How pathetic is that?
That is very good
PT "became" our Left. When PT got fucked, the Left fainted. Now only the students have some kind of impetus to do anything.
the pink tide was so fucking shit
the only good one was mujica and he is dead already
RIP
Yeah. We purists like to complain a lot, but the main problem with PSOL is how out of touch with the masses they are. They just need to focus less on the electoral process and more on supporting organic movements, like the school occupations (pic related)
Dont undermine the students movement though. This is the future generation, tomorrows working class showing genuine revolt against, well, something. The job of leftists should be to guide that anger towards capitalism itself, not just some politician.
Let's admit, this thread is mostly about Brazil stuff. Maybe the rest of Latin America should have their own thread.
Also, how are strikes and occupations going in your town?

Meh, might end up voting in the "center-left" candidate that has the most voting intentions. I might even vote for Marina Silva so we have a second round between her and Lula. I hope Bolsonaro ends up splitting the right-wing vote.
Man, our left really needs to get its shit together.
kek
Fuck off retardado go back to Holla Forums
What impacts on Brazil and Latin America should we expect of Trump's presidency?
how is ecuador looking
Brazil moves towards the right.
kek will smite you
something bad is going to happen to you this week
Wasn't Evo OK?
BTW why the hell do most Brazilian leftists support (people who in my opinion were) shit like the PT or Getulio? I don't know much about the country so forgive me if this comes as extremely ignorant, but didn't a Communist coup try to, well, coup him? Why would a Communist support a guy who opposed a Communist insurrection?????
BTW absolutely nothing really, the US only influences our politics when they voluntarily want to, or when they fuck up the economy.
Olá, também posso brincar?

Olha outro tuga.

Damn, why is Brazil so based?
Theology of Liberation in Brazil is nearly dead though, it has lost ground to the Theology of Prosperity propagated by Evangelical churches. Even some Catholic churches seem to be adopting elements of the Charismatic Renovation.
O PCP é estalinista? Parece-me mais ser de uma esquerda moderada.
Parece ser um PCdoB não-retardado.
Protestantism in latin america was introduced by the CIA to fight liberation theology
