Also games that were completely unplayable garbage, way worse than what you could get away with now, because there was little to no media coverage, quality assurance or play testing, and your only assurance that the game was good was word of mouth, and the goddamn boxart that was trying to push the game on you. Games exist that are literally can't be completable, and they all existed during the 'classic' game era.
