And that does not discount the fact that on that same day on the 26th a Polish cavalry unit German villages in Neidenburg in East Prussia and engaged by the 57th German Artillery Regiment leaving 47 dead. These facts must be taken into account.

As far as I am aware, Poles were specially targeted for the Landhilfe, working in the Reichs food and farming industry. Of course they were probably forbidden from marrying Germans unless Hitler's comments on slight admixtures producing superior phenotypes extended to Poles which it obviously did to some extent as Polish children were kidnapped during the war to be raised by families in Germany and Hitler had many officers and Generals of Polish origin or ancestry (Because of Prussia).
