Just got the Idunn-E Custom myself. Spent way too long farming M2 Inferno for just that one thing. Now I need a better giant buster, my Thunder Sniper is starting to lose effectiveness in harder difficulties.

Any underground mission where you can force them into a small bottleneck, the flames will go through bodies but their attacks won't. Take a shield and hold it up while you rev up, after the first few are dead and blocking, use the jump to move in closer and kill the ones behind.

I don't even know what to tell you if that doesn't at least pique your interest.

Fencer, even with dash canceling, still has some significant mobility impairing downsides to most of his arsenal which hits you really hard on higher difficulties. Fire a hand cannon or mortar at the wrong time and the long recoil animations can get you overrun and sometimes oneshot by swarms. Air raider on the other hand, as shitty as the damage on limpets are you don't ever have to stop moving for anything and even the railgun tank can move full speed while firing.

I'm new to the game so I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but if you are dash canceling with the Javelin and you do (Javelin shot–Dash-Javelin Shot) before firing whatever is in your off-hand, you character will continue to slide instead of coming to a halt, which really helps avoid fire in a lot of cases. I was able to solo inferno crimson as a fencer doing this pretty simply once I got it down using a flamer/shield and Jav/Jackhammer. Only tricky part is the second wave since you can't artificially bottleneck them

The fucking jumping spiders wouldn't be such a nuisance if they didn't do so much damage on inferno. They already have mobility and damage spread to their advantage. The disadvantages should be low health and low damage. It's fucking absurd that a single strand does ~100 damage when they shoot 7-8 strands.

retiarius are also bullshit, but since they appear way less, it's not as bad of a design decision as the jumping spiders.

It can bring swift death to a horde even if you are in it. My only problem with it is that sometimes there is a seconds long delay which can screw things up. When it works though…

I almost think black ants are worse just because their bullshit is far more sudden and unexpected. With spiders you know they are always gonna be jumping around being humongous assholes, they are consistent with their assholery, nowhere is safe and you are always alert, but with ants they will rarely decide to move around you while you are distracted, wait for you to get close, then unleash their hot steamy load all over you. It also doesn't help that ants don't really make any sounds when they move, unlike spiders that always go WHOOOSH, so its much easier for them to sneak up on you if you aren't watching the radar like a hawk.

Speaking of retarius, do the webs have a set health or is it determined by number of hits taken? I always have more luck breaking them with even the shittest of chainguns.

Do that all the time with rocket launchers. Blasting a horde then one ant suddenly darts in from the side and mission over.

I generally end up hitting a chunk of flying ant that shoots towards me, resulting in me killing myself.

Using the high performance rocket pack on bees, almost finished the fucking level and a stray chunk of bee falls on me just as I let another volley go.

I have no idea. I play almost exclusively ranger, so I usually play with a sniper and some explosive (and I've been leaning on the burst firecracker lately because it's basically a spam-able stampede). What is bullshit is that when they catch you with one of the strands, you have to deal ~1/2 of their health for them to release you, which is about 6000 on inferno. It's practically instant death if you're being swarmed at the same time.

Ionly use whale. Fuck a main gun.

Had to give up on fencer after destroying the giant wasp hive. Didn't matter what I had equipped the very first group of giant spiders down the pit would pretty much insta-gib me.

Went air raider and dropped a ZEX down the pit and killed them all in under a minute without ever even seeing one.

ALWAYS PLAY IN SPLITSCREEN
Doesn't matter, when you play splitscreen every single armor crate you collect will count for both characters that you're using, so if you play splitscreen with both characters as the same one, you'll get double the armor for each crate.

Also, there are some more benefits for it

pick a right weapon for right missions

if you have AF20 then you're set for the half of the game

pick wideshot for large hordes of incests (both on the ground and flying), cascade 2 as general purpose long range weapon, acid guns for underground action, hard hitting missiles for hector missions

I hate how much damage they do, at least the ants are fairly easy to dodge aside from shotgun ones but the spiders threads spread out so much that dodging a horde seems nearly impossible as Air raider.

I think i just found a way to bike-ackbar ayys, SDLs go fine backwards and explosives stay on it.

One important question: How useless are the plasma generators in general? I mean, they only work if the divers are not using a gun or flying, so, it only boost plasma regen, not plasma use. I find it really disappointing.

Fencer has a few plasma weapons, dunno if it works on them.

No wing diver ever answers when I ask if extra plasma helped at all so I've had no feedback on the subject.

Well, you do regen plasma faster, much faster, but you must not be using anything. That's the problem. If the plasma generator managed to keep up with the wing diver flight or weapon use, it would be really op, but at the moment, it's only useful if the diver is using a weapon that drains too much at once, like cannons or snipers.
If the divers are using these type of weapons, it will probably help them.

About the fencer weapons, they cannot be reloaded at all, so, no.

I use dual cannons and am swatting them out of the sky. Use the 102 or 103 family of guns. Good damage and can fire fast compared to the gaelic hand cannon. Less range and more bullet drop though.

On inferno they move faster, do more damage, have more hp, shoot more projectiles, and the projectiles go faster. There's also mutant versions of enemies in certain levels. Don't know about new attacks, feels like it does, but then again maybe it's map dependent.

Inferno enemies attack at longer ranges I think and some projectiles move faster.

Higher difficulties are essentially tiers of NG+ that continue level scaling where the last difficulty left off. On higher difficulties enemies do have more health, move faster, hit harder, and all that, but they also get more mutants spawning as well as many missions having more and different enemies compared to lower difficulties, for example normal might have 25 ants, hard 50 ants, hardest 30 ants and 20 gold ants, and inferno 30 ants, 20 golds, and 4 hectors. The increase in health and damage isn't as bullshit as it initially seems as you have to remember that you are constantly picking up armor and getting stronger weapons too, so it evens out and becomes a non-issue.

Farely simple to beat:
get to the bridge, kill plasma hectors, then retreat beneath bridge and kill all hectors and drones. Then focus on hives, one by one.

If that's the one with one of each top monster, the principle is the same. Go around, hide under highway and draw the enemies, but without aggroing all.

The guns on the Balam variants are kind of gimmicky in all honesty. If I recall correctly they only have 200 or some ammo, but every time you fire it shoots 50 shots nonstop.

It's still pretty sweet to unload the lasers on the red ants before stomping the survivors to oblivion tho.

If you get killed in seconds you need to farm armor, if it is dragged out farming armor won't help you. Weapon farming only woks if you can beat missions on higher difficulty, but normally you can finish missions with the drops from earlier missions.
Try changing you loadout around, that tends to be much more helpful

The 150mm Cannon is fantastic but it drops on horrible occasions.
If you play through the missions in order the fist 150mm drops just before earth eaters make it useless in half of the missions, the second one drops on the final mission in hard.
Also, it really needs an interim at about lvl 30. The first one becomes obsolete long before the second one is even in reach.

All of the new mutants are recolors, but they function differently than normal enemies or come in different configurations. All of the missions are notably more difficult than normal missions and play very differently from what you might be used to, such as the galaga dragons. A few of the missions are really good for farming too.

Ergenius is not immune to normal weapons, it just has a huge amount of health and Balam does a lot of damage per punch.

I have a simple question; whats the quickest way to dash around as fencer?

Reflector shield cancelling

javelin catapult weapon + dash weapon, hold javelin attack button and spam dash. You can also use shield reflecting to cancel dash but it's a little slower than javelin.

It is not coming up, I'll keep refreshing for a bit.

javelin catapult is the fastest, but it's completely useless as a weapon, unless you can do it with the later versions
shields are amazing if you can use them right

Using shields to boost has the added benefit of being able to charge right into enemy fire. Javelin catapult is raw speed and you can also boost-jump with it.

The only other one is RRLR or LLRL which are jab>straight>overhead>uppercut and you can repeat the RL/LR at the end like with the hooks.

I'd like to support the developers by purchasing a license to access the game on the steam service. If the site is directly a Steam/Valve associate then a percentage still reaches the developer.

If your Steam account is banned you still have access to your games, any other service is locked off includingt hough, Multiplayer in games which use Steamworks.

If you think about it, it'd be difficult for them from a legal perspective because businesses in capitalist countries are all about income transparency, and a random check from an individual for an arbitrary amount is almost impossible to quantify from a business perspective. They certainly won't be able to present themselves as profitable developers if the majority of their income comes in the form of nearly-anonymous checks from weebs the world-over, to illustrate the big problem here.

So I think the next best way is to hold stock in a development studio's company, but that only works if they're organized to even have stock to trade, and even then only if they are publicly traded.

For these companies the fact that people buy digital, which is unexpensive to produce, and have a DRM thats nothing but an easily cracked placebo against the nasty nasty pirates, is highly pratical and easy, and its the fact so many Nip ports are happening.
