I agree, but I think this is a takeover by the advertiser (or someone else). The old staff is getting pushed out, and even though they say they're indepedent and never relied upon special interest funding, this is a fucking lie because they rely upon special interest advertising.

Absolutely 100% agreed. Look at all the articles talking about how Holla Forums's applied memetics are too good, and that they need to figure out how to combat our meme warfare with their own memes. Not to mention a couple published papers studying how 4/pol/'s influence works. They're trying to study us to figure out our meme magic, in the hopes that they can either copy it for themselves or find a way to fight against it. So far, they've come up snake-eyes.
