It would've been if the meme open world had more to do in it than having tiny outposts to capture every 1/2 km.

Even fucking censorblade X which was much bigger managed to make the map interesting by having either a miniboss, superboss, treasure, hidden location or hidden quest in every little segment of each continent, and aside from that you could set up mining or research probes in segments you'd explored to make a steady stream of money or get free production mats.
Oh, and on the topic of money and materials; bringing back PW's crafting system to a non-portable game was dumb as fuck. What am I gonna do in the few hours between item productions. This mobile game shit doesn't belong.

Another thing it was missing that was one of the funnest parts of the MGS series; bosses. Quiet's fight was fun, but the AI was so shit in Snuffy's fight that it became too fucking easy to win.
