So what's the first OS like anyways? I remember playing Divine Divinity and Divinity 2 and liking both but they were pretty different games.

Divinity Original Sin pretty much brought the company back from non-existence. Divinity 3 is a big maybe at this point when OS was so well received and the sequel looks to be improving everything.

It's a turn based game with two main characters and two tag alongs. A lot of combat revolves around making simple elemental combos, exploiting elemental weaknesses and using movement abilities to target primary threats. Simple stuff, decently entertaining.

The skill of the game comes from you and your friends planning out and executing plans.

For example I may sneak up to a group of Orks and drop an explosive Barrel on them one turn and the next have my friend blow it up with a fire ball the next. You can accidentally hurt your friend and it makes the planning all the more fun.

Ever play a CRPG like fallout 1/2? It's sort of like that but you have a friend to run around town with and talk to people, buy items, steal stuff, ect.

The co-op in DOS1 is okay. It's nothing too in-depth but it makes the game a lot more fun.

DOS2 is promising four player co-op and a lot more depth. I think one of the things they demonstrated was planting a stolen item into the inventory of a dwarf player, reporting him to the racist against dwarves guard, and having the dwarf player thrown in jail so he could then complete the objective inside the prison.

This was all pre-alpha, but if stuff like this is the norm I will suck that game's dick to the end of my life.

I played it once, but gave up when I got to a city which I think was under siege or something like that.
I also remember it being somewhat difficult, although maybe I had a terrible build.

If you don't pay attention to your stats, you can easily forgo one of the three defenses and get totally rekt even by normal enemies using the attack type you are weak against.
