I recently made a thread about the Alt-Right and the criticisms that it received (which were all admittedly really bad), and I came to the conclusion, that it should be criticized by actual white nationalists. We have to make it clear that there is a divide between the alt-right and white nationalists, or the entire movement will be hopelessly derailed.

That is no reason to stop using the resources of allies. You can always discard thema fter your common goals were reached. The left fragmented after they got gay marriage. Now the left is fractured between people who want pedo-acceptance and those who don't.

Someone should take all these, add others and then turn them into a small book of about 100 pages, divided into different sub-categories with the text reformated, spell-checked and all the pictures removed that don't contribute to the text.

I really think it's got to be reformatted. It would just be too hard to fit the screencaps, the fonts would turn out so small they would be books for ants. Even in PDF format people would find it annoying. Its better to just reformat in word. A lot of the images are worthless but I think some of them add character to the posts and should be included.

Not everybody comes to image boards or even uses the internet all that much. Most of my gen x friends work 70+ hours/week and barely have time to think about politics. A book like this that puts all the relevant info in one place and is funny and thought provoking would make a great bathroom reading book for all of your right wing friends who need further redpilling. It takes a lot to ease a lot of normalfags into the chans. It's not as easy as saying "hey go to this site with Hitler and pinwheels of peace everywhere and read about the jews and the destruction of society".
You're also comparing this to using memes. Memes are effective in some instances, books are effective in others. But saying we shouldn't do books (physical or pdf) because they don't deliver on all of our goals at once is like saying walls aren't 100% effective so we shouldn't build one in the first place.

I've been basically doing that for years now. Seriously. I have hundreds of documents (and about the same in local citations) straight from here (et. al.) and did just that with them. I'm working on collating them in some form.

I thought the EXACT same thing. The truth is that Holla Forums changed massively pretty much a year ago. In early 2015 and 2016 we always had screencap threads, book threads, self improvement and threads where we simply dug a given subject.

Holla Forums was essentially a think tank and the knowledge being generated each day was incredible. You could make a thread about some random subject and a few hours later the content was almost encyclopedia level. And of course, if you then read the thread you could learn more about the subject in half an hour than most faggots sitting in the university for hours on end. Pure, condensed knowledge without fluff or bullshit. Anons helping other anons out with their knowledge.

Then in about june july 2016, due to the reasons we all know, Holla Forums became a newsboard where anons gloat over tweets and other random occurances which may be funny but ultimately completely irrelevant and self improvement threads get deleted right away (why?).

I really miss the old Holla Forums.

yeah it's sad that so many good posters have left. Really almost all of them. However with the archive of pdfs and all these saved infographs there really isn't a whole lot of new ground to cover so the site has become mostly a breaking news story comment board for nationalists.

It is because the things that defined the value given to a piece, have shifted from the visual beauty said piece has and the effort that was done to achieve said beauty, to the meaning of the art piece, the backstory.

The value given to art was always based on visual beauty. The old greeks admired the human form, and tried to represent it perfectly. The famous paintings and sculptures that were done during the middle ages and the renaisance where of extremely good quality, being pleasant to the eye. The ability to depict reality as closely as posible was praised.

Even to someone that has not had interaction with the culture in which the pieces done following universal standards of beauty, the piece retains value, as it is based on visual aesthetics.

Now, however, it's based on the story, the meaning that the piece has. One great example is "the shoes on the danube". It has been praised as a great masterpiece. The sculpture itself is a collection of shoes sticked to the ground, in front of a river. Each pair of shoes is supposed to represent a victim of the nazis. To a person that doesn't know the context, it is merely a collection of shoes. The viewer has to know the story behind the piece to understand why its valuable. If the message, meaning, or story of the piece is not known, the viewer will see it as fucking trash.

If the pieces done following the rules I stated in the paragraph above, are presented to an allienated individual, it will certainly not be able to spot the source of praise.

That is why the standards have fallen so low, because meaning is praised more than beauty. That is why trash like an untouched canvas is sold by millions of dollars.
It gets even worse when the context is not shown. How can you spot the diference between a masterpiece and a pool of vomit? you can't. Only if you are told that one of those two identical pools of vomit is a thoughtful representation of human nature towards its own existance, and specifically told which one is it, you will be a ble to spot it. It holds no value of itself, the value is given by the viewer.

The conception that beauty is subjetive has also help to sink the quality of art in general. The idea that beauty is not a shared perception between every human, but a fluid concept that is aplied by the mind over an object, and that it changes depending on the person. It has been proved wrong, but that it has doesn't mean that it will stop being pushed by every form of media.

In short, if the context of a piece is striped from it, and then it holds no value, it had no value to start with.

I made a thread about this a while back. Not just reformatting text from images, but compiling a manual (or manuals) for what the ideal propagator of NatSoc values should look like. There was interest, but we need to define it more thoroughly.

I can, and will work on it, but we need to get the basics outlined. I think writing shorted manuals (~100 pages max) would be better than a huge one. Anyone have suggestions for the most pressing issues that would need to be written?
