This is true. You can also recognize it's Nolan North voicing the other cores, but it's because he's done a lot of voice acting. I don't know much about Stephen Merchant, but I'm gettting this strong "I get hired because I have an English accent".

Also I'm sure everyone already knows, but the only games made by the Japanese with good English dialogue are the ones with westaboos in the development team, or at least one westaboo in charge of the project, who understands western languages, or at least can write western-styled dialogue.

Scott McNeil voiced practically all Dawn of War 1 Games by himself. Especially in Soulstorm, which gave us golden characters such as Indrick "SPEHHS MEHRENS" Boreale, Firaeus "METAL BAWKSES" Carron, and Kornholio the Cultist in the Chaos Stronghold Mission.

Another one I thought of. Todd Haberkorn did a surprisingly good job voicing Rowen in Tales of Xillia 1 and 2. Seemed surprising to me, given how that character is nearly twice his age.

True, he really does a good job making villains boom and/or ham (depending on the game). Still, it's occasionally neat to see how he handles protagonist/party members that aren't entirely prone to shouting/raging.

Playing Tales of Graces f some years back, Price did a really job at providing an English voice for Malik that delivers him as a humorous dick (half the time he seems to just be fucking around with the minds of various other party members for his own amusement), boisterous combatant, but also solemn at reminiscing on what he's been through in the past. Best character if you ask me, all around very likable, and Price's voice certainly helped.

I particularly like how Malik just butts into the conversation in the embed simply to make implications that Hubert wants to be dominated by Pascal, and the way Price delivers it really makes it.

Honestly, prior to him voicing Alvin in Tales of Xillia, my only experiences with Mercer had been him actually playing as live action Ganondorf in the fanseries There Will Be Brawl, and he did a really good job there if you ask me. But yeah, they do sound pretty similar. I remember seeing back when Xillia was first coming out speculation that they'd gotten Baker again, only for some to be a bit surprised that it was Mercer instead.

Such a shame Bioware limited Captain Anderson's involvement in Mass Effect 2 then extended invitations to unqualified folk like Jessica Chobot to voice a character in Mass Effect 3.

Leave it to the professionals guys, they're way better. And as expected Chobot's character was received extremely poorly and also happened to replace a fan favorite from the previous games. Should have kept to having more of people like Keith David in their games instead of bringing in celebs and e-celebs to bring in the promotion.
