I dont know if it was confirmed, but I remember reading that 4GO was the next big Neptunia project since CH always wanted to do a Nep game in a fantasy world without having to relate anything to the game industry. So I'd assume that means they're putting forth a good effort on everything.

Well V2 had like, 2 year development cycle if I'm not mistaken, 4GO probably only has around a year, so it's difficult to say if it's close on the quality/budget level

Do bear in mind that we don't even have a platform or release date yet. It could very well be coming out late next year.

Nepgear runs towards a huge metal cabinet and opens it, Neptune gets her shit together and stands in front of Blanc. I glance at Nepgear behind the cabinet and catch my reflection. Actually, it was about how neps with realistic art-style would look like. First it was about their race, then there was the question of Neptune's and Nepgear's hair colour. Someone came up with light blonde, because then they only need a little bit of hair dye to turn it purplish.

Million Arthur and God Eater are stupidly OP. So much so I try not to use them and I usually love to be OP ,but sometimes I like to let my Neps fight battles in critical health because it sounds like they are dying when their turn rolls around, however they trivialize a lot of non coliseum fights.

I've only been using Million Arthur, and yeah she's really strong. She can almost fill the entire 4 exe meter with her rush attacks and does a crapload of damage too.

I absolutely love her fast rush attacks though.

I hope so, but in the event I don't get a job, getting a decent GPU to play neps is more accessible every passing month, so I'm not that worried about that.

You should really play Rebirth 1 and 2, 3 is optional and can be skipped because VII is way better and it isn't required for it (but make sure to play it later, of course).

You're going to need a lot more than just a new GPU. Fortunately, you can build something that outperforms the PS4 for around the same price as a PS4 (although I would recommend to save up a bit if that's a possibility and buy better parts)

Just adding a GPU will allow me to play the Rebirth trilogy, which is a good start. I'll need something much more powerful for V-II though.

Honestly all the RB games are the exact same shit. Personally I would just recommend skipping RB3, especially if you're new to the series, play RB1 or 2.

Unless you are running a cardboard box that somehow channels an electric current Nep games, even V-II, are at least playable. Perhaps minus Hyperdevotion Noire because terrible port.

Maybe, but with such an old PC buying a good GPU will be a waste as your other parts will heavily bottleneck it. It may not even fit in the case or motherboard and I doubt the power supply can handle a modern GPU. On the other hand, if you buy a shit GPU that somehow fits now it will also be a waste, as you will have to buy a better GPU again when you buy new parts for VII as it will be a bottleneck otherwise. I strongly recommend upgrading everything at once.

Define "slightly under"; as long as you have a decent video card you can theoretically run RB1-3 on a Pentium 4…I haven't tried that but I know people who are.

The video card is decent enough to run the game (although the cutscenes and events are slow, and the battles themselves are a crawl), but it doesn't support fully DX9 (which is why there's a crash).

Normal Nepgear gets ahold of the conquest sword due to the usual cross-dimension shenanigans, and the Neps must embark on a long journey to destroy it and prevent Dark Lord Nepron from recapturing it and reasserting her dominance. Normal Nepgear angsts over the implications of her alter ego going completely mad with power and drives herself to the brink of despair wondering if she will end up like her.
Unbeknownst to everyone except Conquest Nepgear, destroying the sword will destroy the only thing keeping Arfoire in check, and they end up plunging the Conquestdimension into true chaos and destruction.
Conquest Nepgear goes truly insane because she realizes she killed her sister and friends for nothing.

So someone stop me is there is an official source on nep ages, other than, "They have none." Because V-II drops some pretty obvious hints to how old Neptune could be. Of course this is strictly within the lore of V-II and nothing else. So Uzume is the previous Planeptune CPU, we know from numerous scenes that at the time Uzume was sealed to the events of the beginning was "a few decades." Now its ambiguous to WHEN Neptune was born but if we assume within 3 years of Uzume's sealing this would still place her in the 30-40 age bracket. Assume Neptune is 35 in V-II, would we have accurate age groups for the other Neps?

Not to mention that Neptune spent around 10+ years in the Ultradimension. If we're counting that dimension's passage of time as relative to her age of course

Well now that you mentioned it, Didn't Neptune spend about 20 years in UD? Because only 3 or so days passed in Hyperdimension I totally didn't account for that, so this bumps up Neptune's age group to 50+

Chapter 1 -> 2 was three years…then they had to take care of the kids, which was another 10 years. They also had to fuck around with Yellow Heart the whole time.

Plus there was a bunch of stuff in between all that. So year Victory/RB3 was like 20-25 years from Neptune's POV (plus value minus 3 for Nepgear).

…damn though. Now that I think about it, HD Rei got swole pretty fast, it only took her about a month to ruin Planeptune City and get the other three-to-six CPUs on the defensive.

Man I forgot so much of the going-ons in RB3. The fact Nepgear and IF got demoted to punching bags, and I mean that fucking literally, I wonder if the writers were high or something. That seemed excessive for a knee-jerk reaction to the hate from mk2. Anyway, I'm actually having a bit of fun trying to figure out how old Neptune is, and assuming there isn't anything else I'm missing the only things I want to find are the possible ages for the other Neps, but we might need to disregard Neptune and Nepgear's adventure in Ultradimension because only days passed in Hyperdeminsion. Though the idea that Neptune could be legit _50+__ and Nepgear 30+ is hilarious.

Its a scene in the true end path where they recall their childhoods and IIRC Blanc states with pride that she's the oldest, then Neptune, then Noire, and lastly Vert.

Blanc is the oldest in HD, from what I recall. If what Vert said in RB1 holds up with the other versions of her, she's probably the youngest. My gut says that Neptune is probably second oldest and Noire is between Nep and Vert. Of course I don't have ages for the HD Neps.

Plutia's about…what, she apotheosized around when she was say 14-15 year old. Not sure how old UD Noire was at the time but I doubt no more than 5 years had passed since then. So Plutia is about (adding on V/RB3) no more than 45 years old. Pii's about 16-18. UD Noire's in her early 40s. UD Vert's probably in her late 30s. UD Blanc's…old.

Nepgear is way older than 30, but CPUs tend to live an obscenely long/indefinite time in general. I wouldn't be surprised if either of them aren't hundreds of years old, the others included.

Ultradimension Blanc has to be pretty damn old the more I think about it. How long was Lowee existent after Tari nuked anyway? She might be several thousand years old for sure.

Yeah, I was originally just doing the ages of the HD Neps which is why I suggested skipping the UD time span. But we really don't have any data on HD so AFAIK its worthless. I really can't find fault with the UD ages though the idea that Noire is older than Vert is probably why she rips on Vert a lot in UD.

Uranus was in MK2 at least. Only got the true end in VII so if she was mentioned again, it wasn't in that ending.
But I do remember MK2 saying the old goddesses used their beings as a means to defeat Arfoire.
I would assume it's before Uzume since that battle took place long ago and there wasn't much information about it in Mk2 with Uranus being the only eyewitness source.
There's also the fact that no one knows that the Deity of Sin was a being of complete destruction of everythong. All the people that joined ASIC wouldn't have joined if that was common knowledge, which if the last Arfoire invasion was only a few decades ago, it should have bee.

Yeah, I'm post game in V-II true end and I haven't came across a scene that mention Uranus. Its also clear that the timeline seems a little bit off but that's to be expected because I'm sure the writers weren't thinking about this during the PS3/ReBirth days.

Uranus is Neptune's direct predecessor. Uzume is before Uranus, and I believe it's mentioned somewhere along the line that Uranus is Uzume's direct decendent, though I can't recall that exact line right now.

I found it. Massive VII spoilers ahead. Here Kurome says Uranus was created to replace her, so the events of Uranus and three other CPU's battling against arfoire was after Uzume instead of before Uzume. If the part about Uzume being sealed for only a few decades is true, the battle between Uranus and Arfoire didn't happen too long ago. Also, third picture implies that there were also CPU's before Uzume and Uranus

So the current timeline is: The very first CPU that created Histoire > ??? > Unknown CPU mentioned in third picture > Uzume > Uranus > ??? > Neptune, Noire, Vert, Blanc

While CPU's don't age, they sure die or get replaced a lot for immortal beings

I recall getting it into my head that Neptune came directly after Uranus, but now that I think about it I'm not entirely sure where that idea came from. Might be because of the name, or because the timeline would become absurdly crowded if that wasn't the case.

I looked through Uranus and the three other CPU's scenes in RB2, but she's only referred to as "an ancient CPU that ruled over Planeptune". I guess she isn't that ancient anymore now that VII retconned it. I agree that she probably is Neptune's direct predecessor, but we don't know for sure. So there has to be a "???" gap in the timeline between them.

Thing is, we know that Uranus is Uzume's direct descendant, and Uzume's era wasn't that long ago, the upper limit puts her era at about fifty or so years, so unless you're telling me there's multiple generations of CPUs within fifty years Uranus has to be directly before Neptune.

If there are multiple generations then the turnover rate for CPUs is frighteningly high.

That's what I was thinking too. But without an official source, speculation remains just speculation. There's a small possibility that there were other CPU's between Neptune and Uranus, that's what I meant with my earlier post. We can't assume our speculation (no matter how logical it is) is the truth without an official source. So the timeline has to include a possibility of other CPU's between them.

Ah, if that's from the CPU part of the third arc then that's why I haven't seen it yet. Since Nepgear was so important up to that part i assumed i should do her storyline first. Still havent done my second playthrough yet.

Well there was an old nation of Tari that I have no idea where that fits in. However the thing with V I was confused with is about CPUs. You lose CPU power in Udimension but CPUs from Udimension keep them in Hyperdimension. Also they apparently can't die in Udimension, but hyperdimension CPUs can.

This also implies that Neptune and Gear cant die now.

I'm not entirely certain Tari existed in the Hyperdimension. As far as I'm aware there aren't mechanics for the creation or destruction of a nation within Hyper.

Rei waw a CPU who existed in both Hyperdimension and Ultradimension. There's 2 of them, so that implies two taris. One in each dimension.

But the Rei in the Hyperdimension isn't a CPU, and baring dimensional shenanigans there's no way for a human to become a CPU in the Hyperdimension.

On top of that Rei was born a human in HD and is an adult woman when the game's plot starts so it would explain why Tari does not exist in HD and why Rei isn't a CPU in HD though it doesn't answer why she has CPU-like horn budget?

But Tari is from the Ultradimension only, right? The anime isn't canon. We're talking about the Hyperdimension timeline here. Also Neptune and Nepgear not being able to die now seems kinda weird, getting the game over screen in VII literally implies they die. Also when they meet Kurume, corrupted Neptune talks about killing Nepgear and how it's a waste to kill her first before torturing her, once again implying that they can still die

And on the subject of humans, in Ultra Dimension Neptune was born human.

It's not that they can't die, it's that they are biologically immortal. Unless something kills them they'll live forever, even if they run out of shares.

Well, V was poorly written entirelt. But Nep and Gear lost CPU powers in Udimension whereas the Udimension CPUs kept their powers in Hdimension. They stated in V that their CPUs never die. Since Nep and Gear used CPU memories, I assumed their Hdimension powers were overwritten by the Udimension ones. That would be logical. Then again a lot in this series is illogical.

First off there's the line about how Uranus can't possibly be alive after this long, and then there's a few lines in the Nepedia about Lowee's goddesses living incognito somewhere in the nation, which indicates that it's a peaceful transference and not "stabby stabby coupy" kind of transition, meaning

Hyperdeminsion Rei absorbed her UD counterpart's powers against her will via croire. Who you fight in the True end is HD Rei using most of UD Rei's power, at the end of the fight, UD Rei who is the actual CPU, shows up to absorb back her power along with Plutia.

Now that I think of it Plutia now has a bit of Rei's power now. I mean that IS what happened right? I don't think the power was destroyed, rather it was transferred back to UD Rei with the help of Plutia, who originally tried to absorb it.

RB1 and HDN PS3 are in the Superdimension, however they are not the same. As in RB1 is in its own version of SD and HDN is in another.

The only other game that "canonically" takes place in the Superdimension is Neptunia U, a spinoff, and it even gets questioned within the game weather or not its canon.

Its also know that the writers backed themselves into a corner with the true ending so its unlikely we'd see a sequel for it.
