This sounds like something Liberals do, but accepting something as fact without all the evidence implies it is not the evidence that convinces people. It is people who convince themselves. And if people convince themselves, then that means they make their own decisions. And if people make their own decisions, then they are responsible for those decisions. Truly believing requires taking responsibility for your actions, which Liberals avoid doing at all costs.

It's part of why they see anyone on the right as crazy zealots, the irony being completely lost on them. A person who has a belief or conviction is someone who must take responsibility for the consequences of their belief or conviction and taking responsibility for ones own actions is insane to these people because they never saw themselves as being responsible for the trend they follow.
