Do you exclusively use Steam for your PC gaming?

I use Uplay exclusively to play those amazing games by Ubisoft®.

Steam is occupied by Redditors, furries and those who like vignette art walking simulators. The elite and undeniably respectable fedora-wearing neckbeards usually either play non-DRM or FOSS-only games.

I had spent over 2000 dollars on Steam games over the last 10 years. I manually deleted each game from my library when the feature came out. It was ritual closure for me.

Although Valve did target cheaters, they still tracked their DNS cache, supposedly only to check if they had visited certain cheating websites.
Since their program is proprietary however, you can't really trust them on that statement.
Look what happened with the osu! leak, osu! takes screenshots of your desktop only if the moderators suspect you of cheating, however some hackers managed to leak some of those images online, exposing certain people visiting porn websites. A massive privacy concern is obviously apparent here, just like with the Steam DNS cache tracking.

If I buy games, I buy them to have a physical copy.

Needless to say, I don't play many modern games.

Only games i have on steam are F2P or games that were free if you downloaded on a certain time

I'd understand Steam if it was necessary to play multiplayer, but it's a very special kind of bull shit when they sell you a physical copy with a disc that only has a Steam installation with a code to download the game.

No. Recently I bought a physical non-steam copy of Elite Dangerous, and the game I play regularly that isn't on Steam at all is Xonotic.

It's convenient. Sometimes I add pirated or online games as non-steam-apps to it, but still run them through steam.
Also thanks to steam a lot of good games confined to terrible console hardware were released into the wild such Onechanbara, EDF or Souls franchise.

I don't give a shit if people pirate or not, but if they do so exclusively, usually they're the ones complaining about "muh video games crash", because they don't participate in the industry and then wonder why things are not they way they want.
DLCs, censorship and DRM were the choice of paying customers, and thus it is norm now. You could prevented it, but decided not to.
