That's a retarded question
You should feel bad about yourself, OP

I use Steam for multiplayer games only because I'm not a drooling retard who wants DRM tied to my singleplayer games.

Pretty much. But I also torrent bad ports and older games

You mean you torrent all your PC games?

I don't use Steam at all.

I use Origin exclusively to play those amazing games by Electronic Arts, Inc.

well played.

Do you exclusively use PS+ for PS4 gaming?

GOG is nice too. If the game is iffy I torrent it and only buy if I like it.

I use Uplay exclusively to play those amazing games by Ubisoft®.

I use electricity.

I use Steam for some shit. I use other stuff for other shit. Shit thread tbh fam smh.

That picture doesn't even make sense OP.
Steam is occupied by Redditors, furries and those who like vignette art walking simulators. The elite and undeniably respectable fedora-wearing neckbeards usually either play non-DRM or FOSS-only games.

I had spent over 2000 dollars on Steam games over the last 10 years. I manually deleted each game from my library when the feature came out. It was ritual closure for me.

I already pirated all the games I wanted to keep.

Yeah obviously.
I don't need any viruses from pirating, thanks.

You should have sold your account, or something.

Steam itself is malware, it tracks your DNS cache.
4/10 got me to reply.

It wasn't about the money. I have that.
I needed to actually delete them. Made me realize that I had basically bought air.

That was FUD spread by cheaters that were VAC banned.

It has its uses but absolutely not. We have all these discs for a reason.

No

what a shitty question

I seriously doubt anyone here would be that dumb.

Although Valve did target cheaters, they still tracked their DNS cache, supposedly only to check if they had visited certain cheating websites.
Since their program is proprietary however, you can't really trust them on that statement.
Look what happened with the osu! leak, osu! takes screenshots of your desktop only if the moderators suspect you of cheating, however some hackers managed to leak some of those images online, exposing certain people visiting porn websites. A massive privacy concern is obviously apparent here, just like with the Steam DNS cache tracking.
Check pictures related for what I mean.

Whoever that is that's some pretty fucking shit taste right there.

For the second image you forgot:

Also, here's one from a third guy.

I don't use Steam at all.
If I buy games, I buy them to have a physical copy.

Needless to say, I don't play many modern games.

Only games i have on steam are F2P or games that were free if you downloaded on a certain time

...

Only multiplayer games, if a game is only on steam I mainly just pirate them today

Where do you buy your games? Most physical games I've bought past 2011 requires steam anyway

Exactly.
Which is a real shame, because I would have bought some games like MGSV if there was a retail version.

I don't.

Like I said, I don't play many of the newest titles that come out, and if I want to get one that only has a Steam version, I pirate it.

Ah, alright.
It's a damn shame that most games requires steam today though

I exclusively use piracy for my PC gaming.

I'd understand Steam if it was necessary to play multiplayer, but it's a very special kind of bull shit when they sell you a physical copy with a disc that only has a Steam installation with a code to download the game.

Fuck that.

you are just pretending, right?

Yeah, none of the alternatives are any good.
The DRM has never once inconvenienced me in my 8 years of using it, so why should I care about that?

piracy, steam, gog

Pirate master race.

That image is low energy. Webm related.

Read:

I started migrating off from steam when the paid mod debacle happened.

I only use it to play games I already paid for on steam years ago, and very rarely when a game is only released on steam and it's from devs I really want to encourage (I almost hate them all, so it's ultra rare).

I can't trust valve anymore.

Where might I find proof for this?

Mostly. Steam and Emulation. Refuse to use Origin or Uplay and I generally don't pirate modern stuff. No judgement on your all who do, I just have my own views on this that lead me to being a buyfag. Not gonna start railing against 'teh evil pirates' because fuck that. You guys do you.

I do have a GOG Account, with a fairly modest library, and a Battle.net account which goes mostly unused.

Gabe Newell admitted to it in a Reddit thread.
Here's some articles discussing the issue:

They do claim that is only for VAC protection, but due to the fact that they only posted a snippet of the code and Steam is proprietary, you cannot trust them. Again, just look what happened with osu!, they said the exact same thing.

Exclusively? No. There's a lot of games I play that aren't on Steam. Mostly porn

I do use it for games I actually want to buy, though. It's practical.

*it is*

Found the butt hurt cheater

Back to Holla Forums.

I only open steam for Team Fortress 2, Anarchy Arcade and other source mods, i run everything else from the steamapps/common/ folder without opening steam.

I use a lot of Steam but mostly I just use Blackcats.

No, but I do for any game I've paid money for at this point.

No. Recently I bought a physical non-steam copy of Elite Dangerous, and the game I play regularly that isn't on Steam at all is Xonotic.

Steam is the Facebook of gaming.
There is no need for it, unless u r a good little goyim.

I use Steam, I bought EDF 4.1.
I also have a huge collection of older CDs and burned games.
I barely buy physical though because everything is a fucking Steam key nowadays aside from older games, which I also buy.

What was the purpose of this thread OP?
You needed a Steam hate circlejerk thread so you could see positive reinforcement on your views due to a vocal part of Holla Forums thinking Steam is objectively bad?

Im sorry OP, this aint Tumblr

Yes, except when I pirate.

Yes.
It's convenient. Sometimes I add pirated or online games as non-steam-apps to it, but still run them through steam.
Also thanks to steam a lot of good games confined to terrible console hardware were released into the wild such Onechanbara, EDF or Souls franchise.

I don't give a shit if people pirate or not, but if they do so exclusively, usually they're the ones complaining about "muh video games crash", because they don't participate in the industry and then wonder why things are not they way they want.
DLCs, censorship and DRM were the choice of paying customers, and thus it is norm now. You could prevented it, but decided not to.
You have no right to complain.

Me? I support that yes, I pre-order games, I buy DLC, I was part of what formed the current industry. I may pirate something from time to time, but mostly I buy shit from gaben. It faster, easier and more convenient than torrenting shit.

Holy shit they-
Oh… thank God

Fuck off gook.
