Their launcher is perfectly fine nowadays and according to Neople "Existing DFO accounts cannot be linked to Steam accounts" so anyone already playing the game has zero reason to switch. Unless they plan on integrating the Steam Wallet as a payment option, there's no benefit to this.

You need to spend money on the game to get cards though.

If steam forums is any indication, there are people who knew about DFO during Nexon's reign, but had no idea that Neople revived it.
If anything steam will bring more people in, which in turn will prolong game's lifespan.

And yeah steam wallet is convenient as shit, I'd never bother spending anything on any game that isn't integrated into steam, but being able to buy shit with one clicks really made me a good fucking goy.
