Women in the workforce upsets the balance between supply and demand, causing wages to fall. There would be no financial need for a mother to work outside the home if the father's wages weren't being depressed by an oversupply of labor… caused by women being in the workforce.
I'm not here to disparage women who are highly capable and could contribute greatly to humanity. Opportunity should always exist but in the current cultural climate women are pressured to join the work force so Mr. Goldberg could suppress wages. Back in the day, a man straight out of school could support a whole nuclear family on his factory wage and property/houses didn't cost anywhere near as much as they do today even when inflation is accounted for. Then when women started regularly joining the workforce you can see on the chart exactly where things go haywire. Most women just want to live normal comfy lives according to studies and polls anyway but can they take the pressure to not play with the boys?
