Don't let RebelAbsurdity ruin Kierkegaard for you

I just post here because Holla Forums is filled with paranoid-schizophrenic NEETSocs that think anyone that disagrees even slightly on anything is a jewish disinfo shill

I genuinely haven't started reading Fear and Trembling because some Liberation Theologist used it to push the charity maymay. Pretty sure it had nothing to do with the text, though. Either/Or is a top book.

Anyone else here read existentialism? I've really gotten into it.

That's how I started, too.

I hate an fems and third wave feminists and I want to hang them

but I fear that when I continue to walk down this path, I might set myself off down a darker path and will either emerge as some sort of tankie or alt right wing kiddie

I feel that way about the new LGBT "pride"

How's that working out for you?

i've never read stirner or marx or whatever high falutin educated literature guys yall are on about and i doubt i ever will

I actually like Holla Forums and I think that in recent weeks its overall quality has been improving somewhat.

My parents told me stories from that time and I sincerely think that the USSR was the best place that has ever existed on this shitty planet

Cuba is in bad shape because its lack of resources and north korea isnt socialist or communist.

I do too

A mountainous country on the west coast of south america where the democratic socialist leader was overthrown by a CIA coup?

I don't really have a logical reason why I find feminists and LGBT so annoying, I just find their "pride" stuff insanely irritating for no reason I can really articulate. I genuinely need to stop myself from calling flamboyant gays and lesbians "faggots"

IRL I'm massively against homophobic politicians and political parties and so on, but I also have this internal dislike of the very group I'm supporting

I have gay/ bisexual friends. They hate SJWs as much as I do, the reason why you may find them annoying is because they're liberal shills promoting their bullshit pronouns etc through private companies etc, rather than getting on with it, etc

fast forward to 2:31

I guess this is an ironic post, but it drives the point home. Most people knew and were interested about all countries, especially America.
Actually many people of my generation had a weird fetish for the West growing up, so I remember how shocked I was when I saw all the homeless people and the rampant poverty when I first visited America, and that was back in 1996, and every time since has been worse and worse.

Even now, I feel more pity than hate for Americans, you will never understand what you've missed in life.

My gay friends are as bad as the stereotypical liberal idpol gays. One of them is a rich white girl who genuinely thinks she's more oppressed than poor working-class men. I think she gave me a bad impression. And yes, she also regularly posts videos like that from Buzzfeed. I tried to tell her she wasn't really that oppressed once, and she had a massive rage-boner towards me for a week

My bi friends are okay though.

then demolish her and rebuild her. If you can get her out of the idpol bullshit, then you have won

I've tried. I genuinely cannot bear to talk to her about politics for more than five minutes. She only cares about muh gays and literally nothing else, and could not give less of a fuck about poor people, apart from lip service because the only major pro-gay party in the country is centre-left. She's genuinely immersed in reddit and tumblr maymays, but also repeatedly calls people cucks to fit in with the lads. I think she has autism, she literally cannot speak to people without shouting random memes and "jokes" at some point. But she also has a fairly big circle of friends so idk if it's actual autism

then try harder, abuse her, kick her into line. If being nice has failed, then the time for force is needed

I know I'm an anarchist, and this may sound fashy, but she's using opression olympics to implement a form of power play to control some sort of clique

also, you in Aus m8?

I lost my virginity to a feminist…

I wish I was an unironic tankie, then I actually would

I honestly don't feel it has much political significance, but trust me, I'll be the first in line to tear down LGBT once it's shed of its veneer of leftism

Yeah brah, Syd

good porky goooooood

holy fuck son, I'm in Sydney too

I don't view capitalism as good or evil

also m8, we should hang out some time

I've lived overseas for a while, too. Immigrant?

Neither do I. I'm against unrestrained capitalism, but I don't see private ownership as inherently evil.

Yes, yes we should. Or at the very least, somehow contact each other over the Interwebz

vocaroo.com/i/s1eOM1I1GKUI

I hate pretty much everyone on this board, and I don't understand why I feel like this is the only place I fit in, nonetheless.

I'll be the Stirner to your Nietzche

Munich.
Never been there.

We could be like Che and Fidel tbhfam

Sorry I hate typos so I redid that post.

Also I emailed you back

I know user

our autism will know no bounds in enough time

Would you support a Munichian Republic buddies with France, Netherlands and Austria against the Prussian and Anglo mongrels ?

goodnight sweet semi-ironic brocialist pal

I'm a manarchist, but thanks anyway, comrade

Post lewds please

I agree. Historically, capitalism is not evil in the modern sense. It was the next step from feudalism. See: French, American, South American Revolutions.

I have a anarcho-pacifist gf.

Ebin.

If you can find a university syllabus reading list dedicated to an introduction to Marxist theory and post it in on the freedu board it'd be most welcome

I'm a pseudo tankie, despite the fact my great grandparents were Gulag'd. I think that Stalin did a lot of good for the USSR and considering their circumstances, he was the best option. But I don't want to kill Anarchists or any of that crap. I also don't like the romanticisation of the USSR.

I unironically support Assad because I consider him the best option in Syria. I consider the Kurds to be quite a dodgy lot, with their media representation being very dubious.

I'm pro-controlled immigration.

I'm an outspoken Anti-Theist and think the Religious need to be culled. I don't think it's viable however, and believe that Religion will naturally die out through the improvement of material conditions.

Ho Chi Minh did NOTHING wrong, except die too early.

I hate Zizek's writing.

That theologian has never read Kierkegaard. Guaranteed.

So basically you agree with Kierkegaard on the ethical and aesthetic sphere stuff, but not the religious sphere stuff.

Religious doesn't have to mean christian friend, ask Heidegger, religion just means transcending yourself. Everyone does it.

this

"Transcending yourself"

It's another "feels before reals" post from a Christian spouting rhetoric.

I think psychoanalysis is trash, but I imagine that's not exactly an unpopular opinion around here.

I'm hugely into Gamergate and browse KotakuInAction daily.

Even if is entirely recuperated by capitalism and the ruling ideology, I very much sympathize on a basic level with liberal social justice politics.

Pls kill you'reself.

My family is petty bourg. I'm pretty sure com revolution most people on this board would kill me given the chance. I just can't support anything other than communism

that sounds so nice tbh. Is she a christian anarchist? I've never met another christian anarchist irl.

I've never read das Manifest, Kapital, or any Marx, because I find it arcane, impenetrable and awfully dull.

I don't know anything about economics, and don't care to learn, because it's all so boring. Plus I suck at anything to do with numbers.

I hate the state more than I hate capital and business.

Holla Forums falseflag pls gtfo

Not required reading at all. The Manifesto was written specifically for the conditions of Europe and the IWA. It is today at best an interesting historical document or a look into revolutionary fervor. It won't teach you anything.

Read abridged, or at least read introductions and resumes on Wikipedia or read Marxist blogs.

You should care, and nobody simply 'sucks' forever. This is reductionist, and immutable thinking; you 'suck' because your pedagogic history never managed to pique your interest or teach you a discipline for self-education, and as a result you never bothered to discipline yourself instead to fill in this gap. Still, anyone can do it. All it takes is a desire to self-improve, gomrad.

It is expected that your lack of education and discipline lead you to feel this way, but you can definitely always improve and do self-theory. Nothing is stopping you from finding your own, much more refined views. Perhaps you won't change your views much in essence, but will at least have a more articulated view.

He does not at all need to be a falseflag. A lot of Holla Forums genuinely doesn't bother to read any theory or look much further than board census and lingo. It's only a good sign that people come out with this because it gives a good reason to aid them and demand more discipline from our members.

Not reading Marx or boring economics books = no interest or discipline for self-education? Bit of a stretch, don't you think?
Or perhaps it's caused by noticing that capital can't defend itself without the state and its coercion/violence. If I attack or bomb a factory, it's not the owners who will shoot me or imprison me; it's the state and its security apparatus/law enforcement.

You need a fundamental understanding of the economic basis of capitalism to understand why capitalism is capitalism and what sustains it, because the origins of capitalism lie in the economic unit of private enterprise, not the state (which historically superseded it).

Perhaps it's a bit of a stretch, but if you're anti-capitalist and haven't read Marx, there's very few non-Marxist critiques of the economic workings of capital that are as thorough and comprehensive as Marx's. Even anarchist economic theory at least heavily borrows from (among other sources) Marx, like Marx borrowed from classical liberals, French materialists and Proudhon.

On the modern scale, maybe. Historically however, the state became a necessity to sustain the expansion of capital and its legitimacy with its power institutions. Capitalism, at its most fundamental, begins with primitive accumulation, which only requires man's ignorance and violence to legitimize private property.

Chances are very high that they will, because they are interpellated by the dominant ideology to do so. Without a consciousness of the fact that they are exploited of their labor to sate the expansion of capital, they will simply conclude that things are 'as they are' and scoff at, what to them, symbolizes a purile inability to just pull up your bootstraps. Exempli gratia: Baader-Meinhoff, and the public backlash against its use of violence against the German bourgeoisie.

Every time I decide to read capital I end up reading something else.

I have one. No one needs to read hundreds of pages of archaic theory to develop such an understanding.
Maybe? Without the state and its threat of punishment for "breaking the law," I would have no reason to hesitate from destroying property, acts of theft, or even outright murder. I would do whatever I wanted, and ruthlessly defend myself against anyone who might try to stop me.
Good. I would rather they do their own dirty work than rely on state and its police.
The B-M gang's mistake was their not going far enough. "Public backlash" is irrelevant; public opinion is an enemy of the revolutionary.

If Marxism encourages one to fear abstractions like "corporations" or "capital" more than realities like people with arms, power and the "authority" to use them, I think I'll continue to avoid Marx and his works.

it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. I read it a couple months ago and I'm a dumbass

AKA "I don't know the first thing about metaphysics"

Sugoi~
user, I didn't know one person could be this ignorant and yet so confident.

And yet you posted Asuka the grouch.

Faggot Christfags are just a fucking faggot spook.

Stop eating that gay shiit.

I'll pray for you, user.

You'll be the first in the gulag you backwards savage. See what your god does for you then. And besides, we're winning, we run your schools, we run progress, while you deluded fuckstains are dying out.

Go back to reddit, you human piece of garbage, no one wants you here.

Go back to fellating ghost sky daddy dick prole.

Drink bleach redditard.

There's nothing wrong with having pride in one's country as an abstract concept as long as you don't begin to worship the current state as an infallible authority.

It is apparent you do not.

I agree. A very essential understanding requires little more than a rudimentary look at the basics. It is only to further justify and extrapolate these beliefs that you need to truly go further.

Capital does not prerequire a state to exist (see: the 16th and 17th centuries and primitive accumulation). What capital needs is any method of self-propagation, be it an ideological apparatus (spiritual, like the Curch, educative via propaganda) or repressive apparatus (private thugs like the Pinkertons or a mediative, legislative state).

It went as far as it could. At the peaks of the lengths it went to, it was ultimately stopped by a complete lack of popular support motivating a surrender. Without any kind of front to unite anti-capitalist sentiments under, any kind of action is doomed to fail.

Just like capital needs a material manifestation to expand, so it needs an ideology to procreate itself. All successful revolution, bourgeois or proletarian, first created a sufficient basis of support. To believe otherwise is to desire politics without politics.

My got.

I'm an unaffiliated Buddhist and disagree with Marx on the idea that human affliction originates in Capitalism.

...

How the fuck can you handle the Holla Forums threads?
When it's not r/the_donald it's constantly going about muh gultural marxism or being a circlejerk with the same three avatar/namefags.
I kinda miss the older GG threads, when it had a semblance of a purpose

The GG Holla Forums threads are a multitude of times better than Holla Forums in general for that. Even Holla Forums is better than Holla Forums at this point.

Kierkegaard's pretty good.

Nor have you.
A state is whatever entity has the monopoly on power (i.e. violence or the threat thereof) in a given territory. In the modern world, the state enforces the "rule of law;" most of that law pertaining to property and violence, and the unlawfulness of property violation, use of violence (force), and the use of violence to violate property. Under the current system, if I do something that violates property – let's say, I attack a business, destroy its physical havings, and kill the human proprietors of said business – this is considered a violation of the "rule of law;" thus the enforcer of that "rule of law" (the state) will use its power (coercion, AKA violence) to stop my actions and punish me. Without the state, there is no one and nothing to "enforce the law," to stop me, or punish me; there is not even "law" itself. So, tell me, without a state, how is capital going to stop my attempts to destroy it? Private armies? Once a "private army" becomes the dominant power concerned with enforcing a "rule of law," it's just become another state. There's also the question of how capital could organise such an army without the ability to "pay" such an army for its services.
A couple of inconsequential bombings and murders is hardly going "as far as it could." They didn't try hard enough; they weren't willing to sacrifice themselves to their cause; and they gave up.
Which can't happen in a society whose population has aligned itself with the ruling classes and the establishment. Which is why the public needs to be ignored, or seen as an enemy.
"Money," "capital" and "wealth" are abstractions. "Value" is an abstraction. These things can't kill me or hold me prisoner. Only force, physical coercion, can do that.
Yes, human beings (living entities) with guns (physical objects) and the will and power to use them, are real. If you disagree, feel free to subject your body to their "unreal" bullets.

I'm new. As in i've never visited Holla Forums till a few minutes ago. I saw a thread pinned to the front page and came to investigate. I don't even know if I'm leftest or rightest or what, but I like what I see on this board, and I may make it a regular stop of mine.

i sometimes wish Stalin had been as ruthless towards his enemies as he's being accused of

Pretty based

I don't go on the gamergate board here, just KIA. They're predominantly leftist (lot of socialists and socdems) though there are a lot of trumpkins. I just read it to find out the latest shit SJWs do.

My desire for revolution is not exactly altruistic. If I could, I'd totally live the Porky life. But I'm at the bottom, not the top, and barring a miracle will stay close to the bottom all my life, so I am happy to bring the fatcats down.

I sympathize with european nationalists, but at the same time I know it's wrong for everyone else if they get their way. The stakes are bigger than tribal instinct can justify.

I would have stayed on Holla Forums if they didn't support the extermination of all lgbt people. As a bisexual, I have no wish to support my own demise.

I have never read any communist material beyond the Communist Manifesto, of which I remember little. Most of my understanding comes from this board and its memes. However, I did download an audiobook of Communist Manifesto and The Ego and his Own, so I plan on educating myself shortly.

I did read Atlas Shrugged, though, and thought it very good at the time - I thought it was anti-industrialist fatcat for some reason, so I thought it good leftist reading. Apparently I was wrong, but I don't feel like reading it again, as the book was basically nothing but sex and trains until John Galt showed up at the end, as I recall.

The state of Linux, much like the Red Square, makes me worried about the revolution. There's not much there - it's functional, but there's nothing to do. Will life be fulfulling and entertaining enough when the proletariat take over everything?

Im bourgy and hate the whole idea of it

I have a real, genuine familial affection towards nerds/autists/aspies, especially the people on Holla Forums. I don't know why, maybe it's because I don't feel like I can fit in with my boring ass liberal friends anymore. So I end up caring way too much about people here. It's probably unhealthy somehow.

BOTTOM TEXT

Communist Manifesto isn't really that relevant any more. It's interesting as a historical document, but the real meat of the Marxist critique of capitalism is in Das Kapital.

If you like videos, I'd highly recommend RDW's Global Capitalism. kapitalism101's series on the LTV is very decent as well youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3F695D99C91FC6F7

I'm not sure if ML is the way to go. Most ML revolutions end up in decay after the former leader of the revolution dies. I mean, if artificially keeping the revolution alive through a state leader sounds like the only possible way to communism, maybe ML isn't the right way to do revolutions. But it's the only practical one. I'm no anarchist, fuck off

I mean, we can't just blame revisionists for everything.

I gave up and would honestly prefer a sudden Armageddon to the social revolution.

I've never read an entire Marx book aside from the manifesto.

Still haven't finished Ego and Its Own entirely even though my fb pic is Stirner and I spam Stirner memes on various websites.

I love soviet Aircraft, Tanks and Rockets.

Maybe you should think of some other way to do revolution. M-l and anarchism can't be the only options.

I hope you aren't involved in an m-l group

That's fine tbh. Brendan McCooney's kapitalism 101 series on YouTube will tell you most of everything you need to know. Read modern critiques of capitalisms and economincs and whatnot instead of trying to digest that tome

I go to the mosque often because I enjoy the pure ritual of it, and because I enjoy the social and communal aspect of the gathering. though I don't believe in god

Do I belong in gulag? 🙁

no. Muslims draw strength from the "community of believers", even Apo recognizes that.

Not the same guy you were talking to but here are my thoughts:
There is a difference between "not being interested/shit is annoying as fuck to read" and being willfully ignorant. Just recognize which is which in the future and always take other opportunities to expand your knowledge and perspective. That's it.

You're fine.

I dislike liberals much more than fascists. I think that fascist ideology is disgusting and should be crushed, but at least there is an actual conviction to it. Liberals on the other hand, are willing blindly accept the current social order and repeat the same empty platitudes as fed to them through ideology. Some fascists and people on the far right end of the political spectrum have actually taken time to discuss their opinons and politics in a rational manner; while most of the liberals/pro-capitalists seem to seize up and spew out the same """arguments""" about communism that stretch back to the cold war. I just dislike that liberals are so willing to accept capitalism even when presented with all the evidence of it's contradictions and failures.

I've only "read" the first volume of Kapital, and have made no preparations to dive into the next parts. What's worse is I didn't even truly read it: I listened to the audiobook and retained MAYBE half of what was discussed.

I think immigration policy prior to socialism needs to be treated as an all or nothing affair. Either you let anyone come and go, or you go DPRK-tier border control. Half-assing it has only allowed a underclass (I use class loosely here) of non-persons to be formed out of semi-legal to illegal migrants who are exploited horrendously but are given almost no protections under law.

I get a warm feeling in my heart when I think of 60s-70s USSR, even if I have very little ideological common ground with the CPSU of the time (or any time really).

I've only ever briefly been part of a formal leftist organization in the past, and that was mostly because it was not a great inconvenience at the time to participate. Now I'm in a location where either I'd have to drive long distance to do anything organization-related or dig relentlessly to find whatever niche group exists locally but doesn't really do anything (at least as far as I know). Alternatively, I could do my own thing and work towards organization myself, but I always feel too low energy for it after all other day-to-day obligations are through.

The more I read about it, the more I realize the Cultural Revolution had more than a few kernels of good policy and intention in the mix.

There's an audio book?

You guysnare missing out

I think that the anti-european anti-nativism of the modern Left is one of the great evils of our lifetime.
I secretly fear that a lot of Leftist politics only boil down to ressentiment rather than any genuine conviction.

Fuck europ
I support Trump. I think if Trump doesn't become the next president, it could potentially propel the US republicans into full-blown fascists. It could spark a revolution, because the people don't trust the state.
I think if trump gets elected it could help us towards the left even more.
But Zizek likes Kierkegaard & Christianity too (despite being an "total atheist"), how can you hate him?

Not the guy you are replying to but they are what Marx calls "Real Abstractions", they may be mere "abstractions" but they still function and have some meaning in reproducing bourgeois society.

What do you think about Islamic Gommunism?

Also are you Shia or Sunni?

I'm an Irish American muh heritage fag. 1916 Easter Rising best day of my life.

I think its fine to use islamic principles and figures to guide people leftward, but not really islamic socialisim. More like regular socialism in islamic garb.

Shia, though I delve a lot into sufi mysticalism as well
