Technologies are irradicable, irreversible, and permanently change what we value, how we perceive and why we do things. (How pervasive this is, is covered in a wonderful and simple book called "The shallow - Nicholas Carr", you'll finish it in a day). Islam,Communism, Fascism et al is obliterated by the iPhone.
Anyone who has been here for a while recognizes the current crisis in meaning emerged as Nietzsche predicted, people flood to replace their now destroyed foundation of meaning - once held by religion - with political/social movements. Culture now holds all the power - hence the emphasis of the new "culture war". Commies love communism as it provides a complete circle of how one should act, what once should value and what to do e.c.t. Fascism does the same as do most cultural movements. Most debates on the chans are over the supremacy of which replacement is best, how it can be implamented, why one is being implemented over another and how it is being done (which leads into all kinds of interesting areas such as gynocentrism - womens impact in the political process - propaganda tactics - Walter Lipmann and Bernays e.c.t.)
The problem with all of this is that it will never replace it. Here I could write a book or two on why not. One strong argument from many is that it rejects human nature, communism is the most obvious in this front. They cannot imagine themselves as evil - they have not incorporated Carl Jung's "shadow" so to speak. When people fail to live up to that perfect circle abstract example which they have lifted above themselves, it is not the idea that needs to adjust to human nature, but human nature to the idea. More specifically that person who has failed gets killed. Fascism is the same but it is harder to surmise without digressing far more then I already have. But back to the point.

In essence what I am saying is that technology itself PROVIDES AND ADJUSTS A MAP OF MEANING. It itself manipulates and provides a foundation, we all know it is a shit foundation - the current instance is of consumerism. Being comfortable being numbed by being inundated with data and ephemera and spectacle and sensations. This argument extends back to Socrates and Plato debating is paper and books were good for the human soul. Answer: they are both it's downfall and extension. As I said, technology provides a set of new potentialities that MUST be incorporated and will ALL be. With writing came the degradation of common poetry - used to remember ideas. Memory declined as did rhetoric, what we were is alien to us.
So why now do i worry? Politics survived the scroll and guetenberg press, why not the internet? Why would traditions of all kinds (Islam, Christianity, Communism, Fascism) die now? Here is where it gets interesting.
The internet destroys peoples capacity for linear thinking (this is the topic of the book mentioned in part 1 or 2 I think) that was provided by the book. We all abhor how mentally feeble and drugged out the Boomers are with their TV. Gulping down whatever is placed on at 6 O'clock. "It's 6pm and heres what we want you to think" e.c.t). Well now the new generation will be the same but to a much greater extent. The new tech is not this though. That was the information age. The new tech is the experience age. Instead of 2D profiles on Facebook where people change their profiles to show the best version of themselves to hopefully boost their i rl credit, with snap chat and the new evolution, people change themselves and their experience, NOT their profiles/ information online. 7 seconds of people faking THEMSELVES, we had 3D put what they wanted into the 2D, now we will have 2D being so pervasive and necessary to function that they change themselves to the 2D. Welcome to the age of experience and 2D people.

Cultures will be the same breeding people to be the same. Perfect homogeneity. Linear - thus real and independent - thinking dies as scatter brain is induced worldwide. The BBC tried to limit newspapers to a vocal of 100 words to simplify the perdition of the everyman - words are tools like tech will be. The medium through which all thought is passed. Limit the words limit the tools to express and generate thoughts = limit thoughts altogether. Limit linear thinking so it is but a pastime and the everyman can only express what he knows by the "words" of the tech and the death of thought in the everyman - remembering popularity and thus the thought of the everyman determines power - control. Make people only live through experience and now you don't just have unanimous opinions as if the information age but unanimous behaviour and experience.

I think this is true only on the surface level. All agree, be it an emo or a dramafag, on the basic morality and "map of meaning" (I use this because now people are familiar with JP it is an extremely useful way to encompass how fundamental this is, nothing is lower than one's Map of meaning). Believe it nor not this, for the west is a Christian one, despite near half proclaiming no faith, all follow "the golden rule" but the problem is that they follow the conclusions of many Christian morals (not on laws or cannon but on behavior) while simultaneously rejecting the premise.
Ideology replaces that premise. Communism is so transparent once this is realized, taking "all are equal in God" to "all are equal in the state." Fascism and forcer or natural authority (and Islam) differ from this by having the behavior of the culture be so hierarchical. Yet it as the same issue as Communism in that it takes an abstract ideal of what one should be (even though NatSoc values for this are superb - aspiring to be fit, intelligent, disciplined e.c.t.) and places it above that which is. Their ideal is more real then human nature, those who do not align to this ideal (which will change with time) which is bound to approximate perfection will be extirpated. Ideologies are destined to have inward and outward agression OR destroy human nature for homogeneity of behavior which I find detestable. Groups are abstract, the only reality is the individual. If to survive and thrive one must extirpate, if not immolate the individual, not only an individual but all individuals, then it is not worth doing. Communism wants a practical prison, I am no prisoner, fascism, depsite is worthy values, will end up to be occupied by spiritual prisoners.

My point is that with the new technology - the experience age as from the information age, people will adapt their behavior to the values expected from them just as in the information age people adapted their opinions and data of themselves. What are the values expected from them?
Before the death of God there were religious values (the collective map of meaning was Christian or Islamic). After the death of God they were replaced by Ideologies, some admirable, some not, all destined to fail by placing the abstract above human nature. Now they will adapt to the technological medium themselves. The tech itself IS at most the new map of meaning, at the very least it transforms the standard map of meaning (MOM from now on sick of typing it.
