There are shitton of good levels in classic Sonic games alone which they didn't use in Generations.

They are also extremely clunky and have bad movement mechanics, even Super Mario 64 had better movement than SA2

I was talking with someone about people joking around with SatAM Robotnik being in. And it got me thinking. what would it be like if they actually slowly started easing the games and comics to share a sort of "common ground" with their canon?

The whole Ken penders stuff caused them to lightly reboot the comic. And they've already made it something much closer towards the games. Females must be clothed, males mostly aren't. All the games take place within that world etc. So one side is essentially already done with.

I don't expect SatAM Robotnik to show up, but I think it'd be interesting to see the main games ease itself into a world similar to the comics. Since theres a lot of lore already in place from the TV show. You can easily integrate characters from them only when needed as well.

I don't really care much about sonic. In fact, the only sonic games I played beyond the originals and the adventure games was generations and that werewolf one. Both adventure games had major flaws when you take into consideration the emblem collecting and the level design for a few levels, but they are still enjoyable when your just breezing through. Generations was an enjoyable hybrid of platforming and speedy shit and the werewolf one was just mediocre. So I'm not expecting this game to blow me away, but I don't consider it a bad thing right now.

Original Sonic 1 on sega genesis and Sonic CD weren't bright games either. They had grim dark look in them. It was about evil manufacturer destroying all living things for the sake of his robot army and metallic world. In dark future of Sonic CD you don't even see a single living thing, but just endless robots and metal all around.

Eggman represented modern world factories, ruining the environment of the earth. It had environmental message in it. And you play as a lone hedgehog destroying all those robots to save the animals and forests of mobius.

And you don't even win at the end if you didn't collect all chaos emeralds. Eggman wins anyway. People tend to forget that actually winning this game is a hard task, to go through all fucking bonus stages.

The blue arms are a legitimate problem though, even if they fit with the rest of his body. Sonic's pale arms were so they could be seen without blending into the rest of his body, similar to why Mario was given overalls so his limbs and torso didn't blend together during animations
