How will HAL ever top this boss?

How will HAL ever top this boss?

They should of made it a badass robot thing, not a disgusting am i kawiiiiii :333333 face

It's a Kirby game

Get out, newfag.

Gigga drill breaker won it for me

it's not even cute

nah its cute

So like, is Robobot a prequel to Marx' Adventure or whatever? Or is that a clone/copy/replication of the great wish granting thingamabob?

They won't.

I don't think that one really came before the other, as kirby chronology is weird, but it's implied that Haltmann found Nova, and tried to reverse engineer it. So star dream would be like an imperfect clone or artificial recreation.

I'm not sure you're playing the right series, user. Kirby's only ever thrown its usual cutesy tone out the window with shit like Zero Two and Dark Matter's various forms, and even then it only got a tiny bit creepy with all the eyes and blood rather than having balls-to-the-wall action.

The most that Kirby games ever do is drop the cutesy shit for a brief moment to show you some unsettling things when your guard is down (the aforementioned blood/eye combo, a desolate Earth appearing in Crystal Shards as one level set, etc,), before going right back to normal like nothing happened. Even Planet Robobot does it a little in the background, with the lore behind President Haltmann and Susie Susie's an imperfect, greedy clone of his dead daughter, and he's a bad guy because of grief fucking his shit up, but no attention is drawn to it and you have to take the initiative to pause mid-boss for the lore that pops up on the pause screen per-boss to find it.

I fucking hate the ":3" kawaii face too in this instance and any others, but it's just under 20 years too late to bitch about it appearing here, since the boss it's a revival of (NOVA) from Super Star had it too. Unless you've got a time machine on-hand, you can't do shit about it.

Honestly, I'd like to see a kirby game that follows planet robobot:

The plot is that galacta knight was released onto popstar, as shown in robobot's "true arena" mode. Galacta knight has to collect some of the legendary items in the kirby universe to eventually get enough power to become the greatest warrior in the multiverse, (i.e. defeat meta knight once and for all)
There will be half a dozen stages, and each stage you have to collect keys to unlock the "special level", in a manner akin to the code cubes in robobot. The special level contains each legendary item you need to obtain before Galacta knight gets them. In each special level you have to fight an "upgraded" boss from previous games, which will be summoned by galacta knight.
If you fail to get to the special levels, a cutscene plays after the final level of the stage, which shows galacta knight stealing that item. Each item you let galacta knight steal, he gets to use in the final boss battle against him, making it much harder.
Each area will be based in different places across the galaxy
Stage 1 -
Kirby either protects or fails to protect the star rod at popstar's specific fountain of dreams
This stage is themed after the fountain of dreams
If you fail, all of the citizens of popstar/dreamland are shown to start revolting as they cannot dream
Stage 2 -
Galacta knight travels across the universe to ripple star, to retrieve the crystal.
Again, kirby either fails or succeeds at protecting it. This time, if he fails, a cutscene is shown where ripple star falls into a state of chaos much like in kirby: the crystal shards
The stage's theme is grassland
Stage 3 -
Galacta knight flies to an nondescript location around popstar to retrieve the amazing mirror
The stage is themed around space.
If kirby fails to stop galacta knight, mirror world will be destroyed.
Stage 4 -
Galacta knight goes to halcandra to open a portal to Another Dimension to retrieve the pieces of the (shattered) master crown
The stage is themed after halcandra (i.e. volcano themed) with the special level taking place in "another dimension"
If kirby fails to stop galacta knighy from obtaining the master crown, galacta knight creates an unsealable hole between kirby's universe and Another Dimension. Silhouettes of monsters and galacta-knight-shaped characters emerge from the tear in reality.
Stage 5 -
Galacta knight flies to the halberd to obtain his last two items - The dimensional cape and galaxia sword.
The level will obviously be based off the halberd, with the special level being an (unbeatable - if you failed to get all of the items from the special weapons) fight in which you control meta knight in a fight against galacta knight.
Stage 6-
There is no special level for this stage:
If you didn't get all of the legendary items before galacta knight, he fuses with the items to become "ultima knight."
Depending on which items you didn't get, the boss will be different:
If you didn't get the amazing mirror - Galacta knight gets a "shield" hp bar, a mirror shield/block action, and also has a special attack in which you must fight mirror kirby
If you didn't get the star rod - Galacta knight shoots out star projectiles from galaxia, and has a special attack in which stars rain down upon the battlefield
The fight is also significantly harder because galacta knight will have homing stars and extra projectiles
If you didn't get the crystal - Galacta knight opens rifts to other worlds, often with enemies or lasers exiting them
Galacta knight will also be able to dodge attacks via teleporation
It also allows galacta knight to warp locations of the battlefield, making kirby subject to environmental hazards from each location

If you didn't get the master crown - Galacta knight gets a second "ultima knight soul" form

If you got atleast 1 item but not all, After you "defeat" "ultima knight", a cutscene plays. Ultima knight, as a last resort, sends out one beam from the tip of the galaxia. This seals kirby into a crystal similar to the one galacta knight was sealed in. Suddenly, all of the people you protected by fending off galacta knight from taking the legendary items appear, (for example, the fairies from ripple star) They all begin to chant "go, kirby!", and the cystal kirby is sealed in begins to glow and shake. Finally, it cracks, and galacta knight flies out of the halberd to escape kirby
Kirby gets on his warp star and pursues galacta knight, who is trying to fight off kirby as he flees. Eventually galacta knight comes to a stop.
He says "I cannot do this anymore", and takes off his mask
A ray of light blinds kirby, and the screen fades to a black void
Kirby walks to the left of the screen, looking around for anything
Galacta knight (a hot-pink kirby) stands in the middle of the void
He throws down his shield and galaxia, and the boss battle begins. It's basically kirby vs over-powered kirby.
1/2

2/2
Once you win, the game fades to white, and a text box pops up showing what happened to all of the places you destroyed by failing to get the items from.
Failing to get 1 item results in the screen saying kirby's world will "return to normal, albeit changed"
Failing to get 2 items results in the screen saying to kirby that "the losses were worth stopping the evil"
Failing to get 3 items results in the screen saying kirby's world will "be changed forever"

if you didn't get any items - Galacta knight becomes "Perfect Ultima Knight" Giving him a second final form after the "ultima knight soul" form. This form resembles 02, except notable characteristics like the shape of the eye are catered to look more like galacta knight. Reality begins to fall apart as the battle ensues. Once you "beat" "perfect ultima knight", a cutscene plays in which kirby weakens galacta knight, however galacta knight shoots a laser at kirby, knocking him out. Meta knight without his cape or sword flies in on the warp star and grabs kirby, desperately trying to escape the reality-breaking pull of galacta knight's final form. As meta knight exits the galaxy, he looks back to see kirby's galaxy, and the millions of millions of stars in it being sucked down into a singularity. The galaxy dissapears and meta knight and kirby settle down on a planet in a nearby nebula. Meta knight drops kirby off under a tree on said planet and is seen flying away. The game ends, saying that popstar, ripple star, mirror world, halcandra, and the surrounding galaxy all have been destroyed, and it is all kirby's fault.

If you manage to get every item, including the galaxia and dimensional cape, galacta knight flies into space, with kirby and meta knight following him. There, he reveals a secret weapon he has been building in case he didn't get all of the legendary items: Nova dream, a gigantic artifical shooting star created from remenants of Nova and Star dream. The machine activates, asking galacta knight to give him a wish.
Before kirby and meta knight can stop him, Galacta knight wishes to be "the strongest warrior in the entire multiverse"
Nova dream then inhales and subsequently absorbs galacta knight. four round kirby-like limbs grow out of the gigantic machine, as well as two huge wings. A mask resembling galacta knight's materializes over Nova Dream's, now "Nova Knight"'s face. A gigantic energy sword and shield also materializes in the hands of the gigantic machine.
Meta knight, realizing kirby alone cannot defeat Nova Knight alone, takes all of the legendary items, plus his own galaxia and dimensional cape, and gives them to kirby to inhale all at once. Kirby gains the mirror shield - used to deflect projectiles, the star sword (combined star rod and galaxia) - used to shoot star projectiles, the crystal amulet - used to give temporary invulnerability, and the knight crown - used to dodge attacks. This boss battle is very similar to star dream's battle. It also has similar stages, 1, in which you break parts off the enemy (Nova Knight's mask), 2 in which you fight the enemy unmasked, and 3, in which you destroy them from the inside. Once defeated, galacta knight is imprisoned and sent to another dimension, and Nova Dream is destroyed.
Kirby returns all of the items and the universe continues on in peace.

If you try both endings (with failing to defend items and without) there could possibly be a secret boss of sorts.

Just admit you only thought it was good because you pilot the Halberd and because muh Nova.

It's the best Star Fox game in years

have them grow to the size of galaxies to duke it out some more?
the enemy is a omnipotent being?
Knowing that Kirby can never be beaten through superior power/skill, he instead tries to make Kirby feel despair instead?
So the entire fight is kirby fighting someone who is of equal skill and equal power to kirby?
they're in giant robots of course so kirby copies shit and the omnipotent thing copies kirby.
it's revealed that everything is so easy because kirby wasn't actually threatened by anything all this time, and infact the omnipotent being is infact Kirby from the future?
the game at this point drops the whole cutesy easy going thing and you fight a battle that's like if dark souls fucked dark souls 3 and then dark souls 1 decided to inbreed and fucked that baby?
you gigga dorill the fug out the enemy, but your doril- I mean screwdriver thingie breaks under the force of the equally powerful other screwdriver thingie
kirby is forced to inhale the entire giant robobobobobobobit (extra bo's because it's big) and then becomes a doril-screwdriver (oops did it again) and drills through the big doril and then meets Future Kirby on 1v1?
it's revealed that Future Kirby just wanted to stop Kirby from inhaling the universe, since actually mass conversation shit is a thing still its just that there is more energy and shit in that universe, and that Kirby himself was going to make the Big Crunch into the Big Freeze.
Big Crunch is a good thing because it keeps the universe going. Big Freeze is an infinite end and nobody wants that.
Future Kirby miscalculated because he just wanted to go back to when Kirby was a wee babby and kill him in his crib as so to speak, but two miscalcs happened, one is that he went to the wrong era, and two, is that he broke his time machine.
Both happened to be permanent, because Kirby is actually an idiot and he didn't bring some genius scientist along with him to fix it.
so kirby bids his time.

anyway Kirbu speaks for the first (and last time), stating that Curb wants to stay to protect his friends, and that he can police his powers.
With this, Kirbble punches a hole through Future Kirbu's chest, which creates a White Hole and expels everything he's ever eaten in his life (which, spoiler alert, happens to be the ENTIRE FUCKING UNIVERSE)
suddenly the old universe happens to be housing the entirety of it's past self.
With this, the Big Crunch time is certain, and the entire universe is collapsing.
Kirbu must inhale the entire universe(x2) to become Super God Kirby, and go back in time to stop all of this from happening using his new powers.

and time machine was created and powered through his omnipotent powers, which his powers were diminished and damaged upon activation and power of the time machine

...

You wish.

By making an actual 3D Kirby

By not making the final fucking boss a shmup, that's how

Kirby Super Star/Super Star Ultra > Planet Robobot > Return to dreamland/Triple Deluxe > Air Ride/Crystal shards > Kirby's adventure/Nightmare in dreamland/Amazing mirror/Squeak squad > Dreamland/Dreamland 2/Dreamland 3 > kirby minigames >> ebiks yarn

OBVIOUSLY, HAVE THE FINAL BOSS BE MY SUPERCOOL BADASS CUBONE OC THATS SO FUCKING HARD YET FAIR.

*H.P. love craftian EYE thingy

We have to go kawaiier

Wouldn't that mean you'd have to start a new file just to get one version of the ending?

Possibly.
If you got the bad ending you could just go back and get all of the special items.
If you wanted to get the bad ending there could possibly just be an extram stage you have to beat to reset it.
Maybe there could be a "time travel" stage you could beat.
