Not really pay to win, unlockable guns are overall better but defaults are still really good, and you get enough points when you start to get at least one gun that you can use on most classes
Don't use orders for anything but warnings about major caps around the map when its peak time for the pubbies and other outfits to see.
When things are not picking up, you can do real damage with just a few buddies and do chaos/black ops/guerrilla warfare on the Tranu and Burgers.

Heavy Assault is the king of suppressive fire. You can't go wrong with the default T9 CARV, but for shorter ranges the MSW-R excels, and for long ranges the T16 Rhino does a great job. Minigun is a semi-meme weapon, its decent until you get in just the right position to demolish a whole platoon.
I've heard the TMG-50 is pretty good at midrange.
Thats the LMG I forgot to mention, TMG-50 is absolutely disgusting if you can aim because it kills in 3 headshots as opposed to other LMG's 4 headshot kill.

You start off with a small set of blueprints that you can access by deploying an ant in the appropriate area, a hive costs 2500 cort.

Don't construct it until all of your defenses are prepared and you have a healthy supply of cortium to power all your modules; oh, and by the way, all the good shit in construction costs 1000 certs or more each. If you seriously want to be the base guy, be prepared 2B farming certs for a very long time
I don't know if I can be bothered farming all of those certs and spending them on construction. I'm happy to mine cortium and build basic shit if anyone needs it.

Then just cert out an ant. it's a much simpler endeavor. Cortium radar, cortium shield, racer frame.. fully certified ants are some of the toughest things to kill in the game
Build defences first. Not a full base with a full silo because by god that takes longer than 90pop Biolab fight.
But have at least your AI turrets and a wall up, plus enough juice so shit doesn't run out while you're getting more.

Oh, and you need BR15 to unlock hives. But all the structures are locked, I went with goodgoy points because certing the ant was expensive enough.
AA turrets seem to be very strong, I often get kills form aircraft who probably didn't notice my base

Battle base. Unlock turrets with AI, cert up the ant for at least storage, build an automated defence point somewhere to annoy enemies, don't build a hive, repeat once it's destroyed

A defensive module for the ANT. It's like a super vanguard shield. While active, it drains cortium, but the ant is FUCKING INVINCIBLE and such. It can sit at a patch and mine without taking any damage at all because it replaces everything it loses while being shot. a BattleAnt favorite.

And it's really only necessary if you're fighting in smoke, and marginally more useful at night against vanu.
Would instead recommend a 2x or 3.4x scope. Even a 1x reflex, depending on what distance you're always shooting at. (although if you're using a 1x reflex, you may want to just consider the nighthawk instead)

My KD is 1.1 last I checked out of curiosity, and yet I mostly play a res-happy medic and a repair-happy engie. What you don't realize is that a GOOD medic mops the area clean of enemies before doing the ressing, unless in an active chokepoint. No enemies means patients are guaranteed to stay alive and the medic doesn't get shot in the back while ressing.
That said, I do NOT care about muh KD, it's just a result of my playstyle.

Frankly Dasanfal is shit, it takes hours to update, and is often wildly inaccurate in certain things, like how it thinks we only have 300 members, but we actually have 600, and thinks our KDR is .89 when it's actually 1.02.

All of these don't directly increase your KD stats, yet someone can excel and specialise. But according to you they're a loss to the platoon because of KD stats.
It's a very heavily team based game. I'm all for more of the outfit learning more situational awareness, and quicker reaction time and better aiming are always welcome, but holy fuck man… nobody gives a shit about stats. The biggest problem with the outfit isn't even aiming, it's return fire.
What's more, the only person getting the full credit for the kill is the person delivering the last hit. Meaning you can be a support-oriented heavy softening enemies with area lmg fire, for others to finish them off, and get very few kills, but lots of certs for assists nevertheless.

All of those contribute to SPM, which are a great benefit that I have already mentioned is important, I'd say far more than KD. Someone who has a sub200 SPM isn't doing any of those things effectively, and somebody who isn't doing those things effectively is dragging the platoon down. That's a problem but its minor, the bigger issue is glorifying being a shit player and encouraging people to stay shit at the game.

sure, but unless you're hive building you should still be getting a decentish SPM. Reviving and healing and stuff give tons of xp. Also unless you're a light assault or max I wouldn't say "drawing fire" is something we need a dedicated person for.
I use a 4x on a lot of my sniping weapons, since it's fairly good magnification without scope sway.

Look, you're right about everyone on the outfit that's trying their best to get good but they don't have a goal of having a good kdr but helping the whole outfit/faction. They'll still try and kill people maybe go over 1 k/d because we have guns after all but you're unironically complaining about kdr like it's the only thing to do, is kill. Not to mention a bunch of anons are playing on toasters that gives them trouble of getting good because this game is an unoptimized shit. Hell sometimes when an enemy appear in front of me, I lag a bit and there's a chance of me winning/losing the gun fight but i'm doing positive now in most of my sessions despite having a rocky start when I started playing. Quit being a cunt and have anons get good in their pace, especially the players. They're still learning and I'm pretty sure they'll do their best to get good once they get the basics and get a grasp of the situation/surroundings. Eventually some anons will go 200+ spm and +1 k/d or some where around there or more when you give them time.

It's not all about XP. When a shield goes down, it might just give people the idea to hunker down in a certain spot, not actually replenish shields. A medic might only revive one person who returns with a revengeance for small scale drops. An engineer might drop ammo that only replenishes a few rockets for a heavy, but it was enough to keep some armour at bay, to capture a point.
If you're trying to make me give a shit about stats, you've failed. I don't even know where to check these stats - that's how few fucks I give.
You know how I see what our outfit needs? I see flaws in our play, I casually mention it to the person or inform them of a strategy/item/whatever they're not aware of, and/or back them up in learning said thing. They learn a little more, we move on.
