One of the arguments of those who deny the existence of biological races is that their reality is subjective. Protestantism is not responsible for the greatness of the West - if anything, it set us up for our modern failures. However, it did have some positive effects. For instance, I am highly partial to Thomas Carlyle's Calvinist worldview, which is more or less proto-fascist. Read Past and Present or Chartism by Carlyle to get an insight into a Protestant ethic that has some value. That being said, Calvinism was one of the few Protestant offshoots that recognized the importance of worldly hierarchy and spiritual hierarchy.
