I recommend PPSSPP for PSP games and DraStic DS Emulator for DS games i use cracked vr2.1.6.2a version, which works on rooted android devices without google play or internet at all.

Notable feature of Drastic is that its better than many pc emulators and has unique feature to make one screen bigger than another.

Playing XCOM on a PHONE would be a terrible experience.

I use a pirated copy of 2.5.0.2a which is way more stable and has high resolution rendering.
The way to get a pirated copy to work is using Lucky Patcher. Just choose the app on LP, Open Menu of Patches > Remove License verifications > Auto modes > Mark both Auto mode (inversed) and Remove Dependencies. There done.

Emulators are generally shit because touch screen makes for shitty buttons.

Trying to play native games is equal to digging through pile of shit. You will get one or two games but with much effort.
I know of Zenonia but since I played it so much ports showed up you can play actual good RPG.
Potion Maker is decent time waster, same for Merchant.
Valkyrie Crusade was surprisingly good as for managing and setting up your village and had some basic combat but I doubt it is better than Fallout Shelter.

Terra battle is fun, well when you have energy it is otherwise enjoy waiting hours for it to refill.
If someone made a hack for it to give you infinite energy it would be 10/10.
I hope the console version they're making is good.

Bards tale is good even on touchscreen. And it was good!
I tried playing some jrpg but they are not my thing.
DCSS controls are improved significantly but its still a pain to play on without keyboard.
Openttd is fine. Openxcom a bit buggy.
Also I played monster hunter on touch screen + accelerometer.
Itried traditional western rpg but they feel awkward.

I know N64 emulation still a shit, even on Android.

I've got Sproggiwood on my phone and that's pretty fun. It's a pretty casual roguelike.

Also, the XCOM reboot is available, and that's not terrible either.

A proper if simple roguelike.

It's like classic SimCity games but on your android phone, still being updated. Despite small tiles it's easy to play.

It's like Red Alert 2 on your phone. Still being worked on, but, holy shit, it's the only proper RTS for android out there!

All three of these are free, and I recommend all of them.

And the SMB1 hacks on the free versions of Nostalgia NES & NES.emu go straight to WORLD 0-1, which is an underwater version of WORLD 4-4, with nothing but a single Piranha Plant, no Fake Bowser + Lava Bubble + Fire Bar, and an invisible Toad ends your game
