The reason I mostly buy LPs from the 85's or earlier is simply because of the mastering. Buying albums on vinyl that are newer than that is mostly useless because they use digital mastering which takes the whole reason to use vinyl away.

Doesn't count for all albums of course, but it's a bitch to keep searching and searching what albums are not fucked by the loudness wars etc.
Represses and remastering are usually shit too.
