You purge Stratholme and or you wait for them to turn into Zombies which just bolsters Scourge forces while leaving Lordaeron forces even weaker

And then the final nail in coffin, after seeing the horrors of Stratholme and what plague does to humans Uther still didnt support Arthas and even convinced Terenas to recall Lordaeron Navy leaving Arthas to die in frozen wasteland.

I'd like to point out that it was originally coop only, not PVP. It was basically a more "dynamic" SCRPG.
