Have you ever found a game that is too hard for your autism?
Probably every person with a normal brain can play any videogame at any difficulty, but sometimes the autism is not enough to make us accept how hard the game we're playing is.

i think there is a cap for how many enemies of a certain kind can spawn, except the enemies that are spawned by other enemies

no there isnt an enemy cap. they spawn at specific times also, for example the spider and skull mk 3 will always spawn at 40 seconds

Devil daggers isn't too hard, the problem is that there is nothing else to it. It has a great look, great gameplay, great theme, but that's it

You're thinking about a story in the most simple way you can, a story is more than just writing something characters say. Devil Daggers looks like it would have a really cool lore, there's nothing wrong in wanting to explore that.

This mission. This fucking mission almost ruins the whole game. And right now serves as the biggest deterrent on replaying it. Have an already incredibly difficult game, then have an NPC escort mission through a map filled with snipers, where you control a slow grandpa with horror game tank controls. And to top that all off is an incredibly strict time limit that doesnt allow mistakes.

I still beat it, but didnt enjoy any of it at all and the game would be better off without that mission altogether.

no i meant it as a "object on screen" cap, of course they never stop spawning, but having it with an unregulated RNG would just be madness

You know, people usually just put game difficulty into two categories: Stuff you can beat, and stuff you just plain can't. But if you ask me, stuff that isn't too hard for you to beat but is too hard for you to have fun in the process is a very real third category of difficulty that matters. I hit that MUCH more often than I hit stuff I simply can't overcome at all.
