Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt and Yemen all cut diplomatic ties to Qatar, ordering its citizens to leave within 14 days. But it had less to do with its supposed “funding of terrorists groups”, and more to do with putting it under siege in order to force a change in its independent foreign policy positions.
Interesting article here about the ongoing "diplomatic crisis" with Qatar, which just got worse since a bunch of arab countries signed some terror sanctions list against them
The KSA is too powerful to take down. They have too much money/blackmail/influence, take your pick. Nevertheless, they're guilty as hell.
The best theory I've heard thusfar is that Trump told the KSA to use Qatar as their scapegoat. Qatar is also guilty, although less guilty than the KSA by virtue of being smaller. But if the KSA invades Qatar, they'll get stuck in a quagmire. See: their military incompetence in Yemen. Thus KSA is punished while nominally being allowed to save face.

There is nothing complex about it. Trump went to the middle east, said "when we speak of terrorism support, all we hear is Qatar and Saudi Arabia". KSA immediately made a $300B check and decided to throw Qatar under the bus.
Again it's not like Qatar isn't actively sponsoring terrorism and political islamists organizations, they are a major support of Jihadism and worse the Muslim Brotherhood (pure political infiltrators "not all muslims", basically the Islamist KGB at this point) is bankrolled by Qatar. It's not because they're not the only one doing it, that it magically absolves them.

Well, if things continue to heat up, there will be a lot of dead arabs.

I've heard that the real reason is that Qatar is somewhat synpathetic to Iran compared to other Gulf states.

Thanks for the responses, and I agree. However something came out recently that the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a kike-run neocohen think tank, made possibly illegal strategic meetings with the UAE about Iran, and some hacked emails allegedly said that action would have to be taken against Qatar since they weren't totally towing the line. Not long afterwards, this invented diplomatic crisis occurs.

Trump signed an arms deal with the Saudis to kickstart their other goal: eliminate Qatar, which started back in 2014 'cause the latter supports hamas, anyone else the MB-loving wahhabis did not like, basically being a bunch of camel dicks within the now-defunct GCC. Them being the scapegoat after their adventures in The Levant (Syria and Iraq) and Yemen is only partial.
Do take note; the last time the US made an arms deal this big with a lot of cash was back in the late 70s, with the former pro-CIA wahhabi worshipping, jew-friendly Shah of Iran, right before the party started on the US Embassy in Tehran…..
Anyone who is very familiar with Iran about the US of A during that time can guess where this multi-billion dollar Saudi-US arms deal is headed.
