hahahahahahaha

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You know you can post multiple images with just one post, right?

Also, hold on, Steam was compatible with OpenID all this time? wew lad

thsi is valve and their damage controlle.

Reminder that the fat kike would have done absolutely nothing about this unless someone lit fire under his ass.

People like H3H3 were making a big deal about how Valve were endorsing the gambling. There's no actual money being exchanged, just skins and keys, which can never be turned into real money again.

The only way it could is if you go through PayPal or something, and Valve pretty much says you're retarded if you do that.

The cs go gambling industry was worth 2.3 billion dollars last year.

There is nothing wrong with gambling.
As a matter of fact gambling is beneficial to society. It works as additional layer of natural selection along with drugs and alcohol.
Subhumans that can't into critical thinking will just gamble all their welfare money away and end up dying from hunger, while jews will be eating off goyim and stop infesting real spheres of entertainment since they are less profitable.

People would have to be retarded to invest real money on gambling sites and here we are.

Not really.
Usually they just end up stealing / killing and then end up in jail where your taxes get to feed them for the rest of their lives since they always return.

Except they can be? The faggots who run these gambling sites are literal millionaires.

Valve were supporting gambling by allowing the gambling sites access to steam accounts when they can very easily shut them out.
Valve "saying" anything doesn't mean shit if they do nothing to stop it.

Are you a kike or just a sympathizer?

The primary reason for the controversy were two YouTubers who owned CSGO Lotto and were pretending like they just stumbled across the site and were partners, when in reality they had owned the site from the beginning.

People started blaming Valve who do not allow you to turn your Steam Fun Bux into cash. Once it's a digital currency, it stays that way.

Not through Valve. Only through third parties, which Valve greatly discourages if not outright banning for.

Users did not get any real money

The only thing this kind of darwinism does is fucking over good people. All that cycle of money between the retards and the jews could have been used for more productive things.
Money is energy, money bad spent is productive work not done, imagine how many games could have been developed using that money.

They could sell the skins they won to other retards, so while they may be trading illiquid assets, they still have value.

Value, yes, but not as real currency.

You can't go to a deli and pay for your sandwich with an AWP skin.

People are rightfully blaming Valve for even allowing steam account access to these sites. Not only that, gambling wasn't even a bannable offense. So much for "greatly discouraged".

"greatly discourages" by doing absolutely nothing about it until now

You can't be serious.

...

No, but you can't do that with stocks or your house either. Doesn't mean "real money" isn't being traded.

I think the better question is why does anyone give a fuck if some site allowed stupid 10 year olds to gamble away their stupid CS:GO keys and skins?

Because lootshit is fucking cancer and anything to destroy it can only be a good thing.

Did you read my post? You can't turn a digital item into actual currency through Steam, it just can't happen. The only way you can is by selling the item through PayPal, which Valve discourages.

If these gambling sites were making their money off of taking peoples' skins and selling them through PayPal, that's one thing. It's shady, but is not illegal.

The guys who ran CSGO Lotto are in trouble from the FTC for not disclosing the fact that they ran the company despite running WILDLY successful YouTube channels. Valve is covering their own asses, until the controversy no one cared either way because, again: it's not illegal.

The only way you can get spendable money through skins/items is by going through the market. However, if you do it this way, it stays as Steam Fun Bux, which can only be spent in the Steam store, or on other items.

It cannot ever be turned back into cash unless you go through a third party.

this is corrct YOU will never have the chance to turn it back.

Only Valve is able to profit from it.

You need access to a steam account to do it. Valve can literally pick and choose which site can access steam accounts and which cannot. They haven't stopped access from key retailers because it directly feeds into their market.
Valve "discouraging" anything is completely meaningless unless they actually do something about it. There are no real consequences of turning your items or funbux to real cash.

Get this through your thick skull. Valve can easily block access to third party retailers and cash converters using steam but haven't done so because it benefits their market. They are tacitly supporting it by doing nothing about it.

The legality of it hasn't been decided because this is untested territory and no actual precedent has been set in this case.

Don't worry their bank accounts are behind 7 jews.

Funny. Not so long ago gamers worshipped Gabe the Jew.

Agreed. Gambling is stupid.

The house always wins.

But who said humans are rational beings?

Post multiple images per post OP, proof as i'm doing it right now. With webms.

more like, "the viral marketing money is drying up so actual human being with real opinions can finally be heard".

There's something deep going on there. i can feel the magicks. Anyway…

Gabe is a dirty Jew, he always was, and all those "BASED GABE" posts that weere prevalent on 4/v/ and were brought to 8/v/ with the exodus always pissed me off. How about the retards stop idolizing a fucking fat man with no self-control not enough self-control to stop eating piles of lard and just made conscious decisions about spending your damn money? Sure, Steam is, by itself, a handy platform to find, acquire, and organize games (and a lot less shitty than, let's say, Origin), but what really destroyed it was retards binge-purchasing games (even shitty ones) on sales and then making this stupid loot market a thing. That's not even properly game related, it's just a collection of fucking digital items!. Man, millenials are retarded.

you dont know how the real world works, user?

...

PRAISE KEK

...

user, gabe did nothing wrong, steam is a busines not a charity.
Every decision is to make more profits, what is wrong with that?

There has been and always will be retards

the fuck? valve drones?

Steam, as concept, is a handy tool to acquire games, and that's why it became popular.

Then the sellout bullshit started and Gabe "Money Is Information" Newell (does anyone remember that fucking Leddit AMA when he finally revealed his Jewish power level?) fucked things big time, by allowing things as always online DRM to be built in on Steam, becoming the to-go platform for shitty indie "games", and this abominable loot market.

i will ask again, you fucking retard, what is wrong on making profit?

it's more a question of 'how it is wrong to make profit'

There is one way, let's call it; the normal way - no shady shit, no rip off, no overpriced bullcrap and so on.

the other way, let's call it 'Shady-shitty-rip-off and overpriced bullcrap' way. Where customers get milked hard.

look, as said

making profit is not the problem, but how you make profit is something you have to consider to be unhuman as fuck.

I get that morally the fat jew is a piece of shit, exploiting whatever he can to get as muc has he can.
On the ither side you als ohave the retards that support it by buying into it who are at fault.
Do you really think the market would still be up if nobody would use it?

There's no problem with making a profit by offering a good product by its fair price and not exploring your customers. Guess how many gaming companies, in the age of incomplete/buggy games released for full price and crappy DLC, do exactly that, champ.

The "think of money as information" deal Gabe tried to shove people's throats (while talking about fucking paid mods of all things, something that was always being separated from DLC exactly because it was fanmade and free) was frankly abhorrent. "Yes, my goyim fans, please vote with your wallets on the best mods for Skyrim, so we can in the future incentive the release of nothing but barebones-but-moddable games for your enjoyment!". We all dodged a bullet that time… for a while. Because the Jew will always find a way to be reunited with shekels that aren't really his.

Not surprising Valve bailed out while they still could. When big money is involved, these scandals and lawsuits were bound to happen sooner or later. Valve taking all support off from 3rd party companies is them basically washing their hands from the issue, they're no longer responsible for any gambling site whatsoever.

steam+ subscription

That's not what it says.
Why do you people need to bend everything to look bad even when something good happens?

This tbh. The subhumans exist to serve the true human race.

Yeah to be fair I used to be on sites like gamefaqs and neoFAG. I tried to preach against Steam for years. With little success.

Now that I've been enlightened and joined better communities I'm seeing more hate for Valve.

if only there was a way for people to STOP buying crappy products/games/services!
but they have no choice right? its not like they cant stop buying and seek something better.

I remember once someone said there is a drug (or better a med) that had the side effect of making you addicted to gambling.
Not sure if that was true but ┐(︶▽︶)┌

Actually THAT IS EXACTLY THE POINT.

Almost certainly true. There are definitely substances that cause feelings of invincibility and encourage risk-taking, which obviously can lead to behaviours like gambling.

...

You are ignoring the fact that Steam provides a useful service for most people (an easy to access and use game library/store). By itself, that's not a problem, and in fact, thanks to how easy Steam is for the normalfag to use, companies that would never release their games to PC started to port them, which overall is good for PC gaming. If Steam stopped there, it would be completely fine.

The problem is that they pushed their silly hats/cards/loot into a market for idiots to consume them, and nowdays there's more care put on that market than on selecting games to be published on Steam (like fucking indie games). Frankly, I ignore all that crap since I first installed Steam, as I ignore the apparently irrestisible Steam Sales and only purchase a game that a) I can't properly pirate and b) really want to try out. But, that crap creeps on how Steam works, because the horders of normalfags are stupid, and so here we are, bitching about something that we can properly boycott, but your neighbours probably can't, because they're stupid consumers.

You are correct, it only benefits and helps kikes to save face.

This, fuck the kikes and the goym that support this exploitation.

I want to smash their fucking racist faces, fucking jews. Fucking Phil Fish.

Steam is still the best service out there, and nobody was forced to gamble against their own wishes.

Sad move by Valve, I had just built up my inventory from a couple pennies to $10 and growing after the CSGO Major predictions. Betting is honest money.

user, if you ever lost more than the buy-in I'd be deeply concerned about the Casino you visit.

but that's all valve has ever done with steam updates
etcetera

Diablo 2 trading you fucking retard. That is all.

Just looked into the whole system a bit more
Here is one of them, opskins.com/.
This is some next level unrefined kikery. Even Blizzard wasn't kike enough to have consumable cosmetic skins. This market is essentially unregulated speculation geared towards teenagers

Gamblingfags on suicide watch!

...

Given the story behind the faggots of CSGO Lotto I wouldn't expect anything less.
Grade A scum. Valve would be proud.

They were multiple minutes apart. i think op went to websites and screencapped and edit those pictures after he posted the thread.

I am glad this happened to all of the people turning random crates into an economy.

IT ALL COMES TUMBLING DOWN

Let's be honest here- Holla Forums sucked the fatman's cock just as much as most of the internet up until, what, Portal 2? People kept worshiping Gabe, if not Valve, until the debacle with paid mods.

And that was on Holla Forums. I'm sure you might have been part of the minority that didn't buy into MUSTARD RACE, GABE SAVES GAMING, but don't deny he wasn't wildly popular on Holla Forums until the last couple of years.

Steam is the Standard Oil of PC gaming.

There is almost no competition (every site out there sells Steam keys) and it is only a matter of time before Valve will abuse their monopoly position.

Americans won't care because they've been brainwashed into consumer whores. Which leaves the European Union to cut them down.

Congratulations you're a normalfag.

Have you downloaded Pokémon yet?

Steam sales is why /v liked him. Ironically the low prices for PC games killed PC exclusives and made PC gaming into the iOS/Android store.

Americans won't care because Steam is selling a non-essential service for entertainment. Video games are still perceived as toys for children- do adults care when Hasbro or Mattel jack up prices or run competitors out of business?

Be the change you want to see
This thread alone has many indifferent faggots who enable this shit.

He is right anons!

Read up the bread! Here are many valve drones defending this shit or steam.

pay attention to the cancer lurking and derailing Holla Forums

...

Holla Forums liked him because, up until Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2, Valve released good games, revitalized PC gaming, and moved away from brick and mortar stores dictating the markets.

It's only when they started letting any trash onto the store, okayed early access, and refused to curate obvious scams that Valve started sinking into a morass of mediocrity and sleaze. Even then, it wasn't until paid mods that Holla Forums started holding the company personally accountable.

Actually, for me it was simply that they so fully endorsed microtransaction garbage and quit ACTUALLY MAKING GAMES. (Didn't help that their actual games got so multiplayer focused toward the end either.) I still think Early Access could be good in theory and don't hold Valve responsible for so many using it wrong.

THIS IS THE BEST YEAR EVER!

It'll be the best year when the FTC shuts down crates and keys, period. I don't mind cosmetics, but this gambling shit needs to stop. I'd rather just pay a flat fee than spend money in the hopes I'll get something good instead of trash.

Portal 2 was when I fell out of love with Valve. I stopped trusting them entirely with paid mods, but I was still supportive even when their on going investments in CS:GO and Dota 2 were causing them to neglect their other projects.

Even at the very end these hacks still couldn't come clean could they?

Valve barely made any games anyway. They just bought studios that showed promise.

That's something Gabe learned from his former employer Microsoft.
