Etrian Odyssey III

Monster Hunter Generations

Linking the vertical version of the MHG image from the last thread if anyone sees anything else to be fixed or corrected with it.

Is it just me, or does he feel a bit awkward to try to play as since he doesn't seem to have a straight up close-range weapon/style? I suppose it's maybe more a matter of just getting used to the character (only recently started his chapter; could very well not be playing him properly), but he certainly seems like he's better at range from the enemy, given his sickle being mid-range in a radius around him, bombs seeming to be long-range, and his kunai being any range (but still an at-range weapon).

I beat risk of rain tonight playing as the bandit. Unlocked four more characters in the process. I have nothing bad to say about this game, I recommend the port to anyone who prefers playing on handhelds or has a shit computer. Otherwise just play it for free on PC.

I'm going to buy darkest dungeon when it comes out later this month, which'll make my vita library 20% "indie" diarrhea.

He's a broken mess of a character. Lots of people have done critical analyses objectively deeming him practically unplayable in Fury mode. High level players consider his sickle and bombs completely worthless and will not waste any skill points in either of those weapon tree slots, which basically means 2/3rds of his character are non-existent.

In legend and chaos modes though, it doesn't really matter.

Reminds me for some reason of how your party members in Wild Arms 5 get polymorphed into chibi cats through the Misery status effect.

So on that mode, is the idea to just stock up on stuff to repair single weapons, if Kunai are all your want to be using and further developing his skills/stats for?

nah they just grind to level 99 so they can do ridiculous amounts of damage, and fuck around with the sickle/run away for a couple of seconds when the kunai needs to recharge.

normally i'd criticize such players for grinding themselves into gods and call them faggots, but honestly arashimaru is so shit that it's kind of necessary in fury mode.

Platinumed Odin Sphere and ZTD recently. I want to get back into Trillion now, but it just got really annoying once my strongest overlord died and the next one just doesnt deal any damage.

Gal Gun and Natural Doctrine to arrive. I already have too much of a vita backlog though…should play some other stuff.

Nothing on vita right now. Really need to save up so I can hopefully move out next year.

>FUN
Yes and no. life is just rough right now, and no big incentive to play vita stuff, been playing Kirby Robobot recently and that has been helping

Ugh, I still need the DLC to go on sale before I can play as all the other characters. I'm mad that I dont think it will go on sale anytime soon.

Ask Aksys somehow if maybe they might consider putting it in a sale sometime soon. I mean, it's been on sale infrequently before, seems a but odd they'd just stop (to the point it hasn't been marked down at all this year thus far, at least to my knowledge).

So could they just not find a good way to balance him out or something, or not give him enough time in development? Played as Okoi Miike prior and she seemed to handle pretty well, though having a caster character felt a bit unconventional compared to how close range Kisuke and Momohime were.

i've heard it was the latter, that they didn't give him enough dev time.
general consensus is that yeah, okoi is the only DLC character worth a shit in fury mode. she's the best character anyway. the second to worst character is demon child.
note that I haven't spent much time in fury mode myself and I'm just parroting info i've read on other sites.

I did try asking them on Twitter but no response. And it has been since the beginning of the year that Ive watched it and it has not gone on sale. Which now 6 and a half months in Im worried that we may not see a sale for a long time.
Seems like they may be just forgetting about it with all their ZTD hype and all.

Where can I buy a vita for cheap in Europe, I really don't want to spend over 150.

RoR trying to clear up some trophies.

Nothing much I got too much as it is right now. I need to clear some shit before I get more.

DjMax: Technika Tune
I really wish this game had missions or challenge clubs in it instead of just arcade difficulties/free style. Since the last songs are unlocked at lv 50, I feel like the grinding will get pretty intense later on. Can anyone else playing confirm this?

Also playing the Muramasa DLC on the side, need to finish the farmer one and the ninja one.

Waiting for Grand Kingdom and Odin Sphere HD to go on sale/get a price drop

the farmer one is what got me to buy the DLC, the concept of playing as a band of starving peasants was brilliant to me. it gets old playing as edgy demon gods in action games.

Have there been any more announcements of games since Valkyrie Drive? Im trying to keep my vita list updated right now.

Coven and Labyrinth of Refrain

Uppers, Ys 8, Sword Town Foreigner, 7 Pirates, Demon Gaze 2, SRW V, Gundam Breaker 3

...

Lost Dimension. Someone told me this game is shit, yet I'm enjoying quite a lot about it. There isn't a single character I don't like. I just wish we didn't have to kill George. That was my boy.

And whoever said Superbeat XONIC was arguably shit is out his damn mind.

Waiting on a few games to drop. Rabi Ribi is one of them.

Maybe Natural Doctrine? Maybe Wipeout 2048. Don't know yet.

Risk of Rain?

I kind of want it, but I gotta figure out how to use the back touchpad. I don't want to have to set the device down to play it.

September 16th release.
ricedigital.co.uk/store/valkyrie-drive-bhikkhuni-ps-vita-liberators-collectors-edition

And a collectors edition.

The Last Blade 2 and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Uppers, Ys VIII, Shiren the Wanderer
Valkyrie Drive, Neo Atlas 1469,Trails of Cold Steel II, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero and more SNK ports to happen (Namely Garou or KoF98UM).

Hope that means just for europe retailers and not exclusive worldwide.

Also, I'm debating whether or not to get The Asterisk War: Phoenix Festa despite not having any clue what the franchise is about.

The mapmaking game?

I think the collectors edition is exclusive, not the game.

Yeah, map making, exploring and trading.

Yeah that's what a meant. I'm not a big fan of rice digital, I was hoping the collector's edition would be available at VGP like what happened with Gal Gun

...

i've been outdid!

I hit enter to do a line-break and it submitted my post instead, fug, deleting that post

SAO Lost Song, got all the orbs, made it to Nibelheim. I've shut off 2 of the 4 towers that power up the boss. Also did a bunch of characters' personal stories after unlocking Nibelheim, one of which involves you and Sinon being sent by Odin to hunt down Loki, who escaped his prison. You wind up fighting Hel (his daughter) and then Loki himself. Hel was the tougher fight, with her constant poisoning, but Loki's design was pretty cool, pics related.

Played some Dragon's Crown last night, I've got most of the talismans, I think I'm only missing two or three.

And Grand Kingdom's demo has been fun thus far. I'll probably wind up buying this game used at some point. Also, the full game DOES have dual-audio.

GalGun DP, UPPERS & RecoLove Blue Ocean/Gold Beach in English.

Next thing I'm gonna wind up buying is probably SO5 or Atelier Sophie for my PS4. My next Vita purchase will probably Grand Kingdom or MeiQ though. I'll need to pick up ToCS2 at some point as well, but probably not until after its release.

Nice. I imagine they'll have the North American version available soon on there as well like they did with GalGun DP.

Yeah, that's just for the collector's edition bit. RiceDigital has the exclusivity for GalGun DP's collector's edition too.

Digimon Cyber Sluts and Muramasa Rebirth
Valkyrie Drive and Caligula

DT2. Officially plateau'd. I have met all the big gods and I'm being a stubborn dick. The traditional way to beat them is exploit speed. But that's unsatisfying to me, so I'm going to try and craft other ways of doing it, involving a few crown'd types. Which is going to take some doing. Might actually switch focus to an entirely different game who the fuck am i kidding i'm already down the rabbit's hole there's no way out, now

Valkyrie Drive, MeiQ, Sega Hard Girls when it comes out

Gal*Gun after m'check clears.

N-Not DT2 ;_;

Anyone have ragnarok odyssey? I really want to knock out the co-op trophies sooner or later.

There's just no winning, is there?

Regular RO or RO Ace? I have the latter, and not a lot of progress in the game so far.

Just buy it new, unless you're really against giving NISA money, which is what I suspect.

I have Ace, but I've deleted my save file. I'd be starting from scratch in order to play.

RO I bought it with my Vita when it first came out and forgot about it without ever playing it.

You suspect correctly. I'm gonna try a few local game shops first before I break down to give money to NISA though.

That's fine by me, my save file is only just past the first boss anyway. I'm not really far ahead of you at all. Though I do have a brand new Wizard/Warlock forgot the class name character I could use as well.

What's your PSN? I'll add you and we can play sometime this weekend.

Oh, I don't know if RO and RO: Ace play together though…

I'm actually trying to sell the game, so I don't want to get too committed. If I haven't sold it by this weekend, I guess a few missions wouldn't be a problem. My PSN is Cryptcretin. If I play, I'll be playing Hammersmith.

Mage? Or Cleric?

Understandable, i'll shoot you a friend request.

Mage! That's the one. I have an Archer and a Mage. My Archer character is the one who's beaten the first online boss

Why is she naked, yo?

It's an armor. One of very many free DLC armors/outfits. It isn't really worth using beyond early-game stuff though, given it's stats. They weren't really that great from what I recall. More of a fashion set really. There's a Gravity Rush set of armors too, one for Alias and one for Kat, and you can even get Kat's hair style in the Parlor.

Right screw it I will get ACE to play with you knuckleheads.

Hammersmith and Mage/Archer so I guess I will whip up a Cleric.

PSN: FreeCascadia

All three of those came out last year.

Looks like PQube is going old school for pre-order bonuses with physical stuff instead of DLC codes. It's not much (just eight cards with the girls on them), but it's rather neat to see if you ask me when so many other games/companies rely on DLC as bonuses instead.

I wish they would make an Amazon listing so I could pre-order.

I expect it'll be up soon enough, provided they intend to use Amazon anyhow

Had been thinking of putting what money i'd been saving up towards ToCSII, but I assume that VD is going to be the one that's harder to find after release. Was honestly hoping the release dates might have been further apart so I could work towards squirreling money away towards both separately.

Sure! I'll add you as well. When do you guys all want to play? I'm free Saturday night through Monday night.

we get it, you import everything/live in japan.

Yeah, that's kinda thrown me for a loop. I'm gonna assume as well that VD will be harder to find post-release compared to ToCS2, given that you can still get the Vita LE for ToCS for $40 on amazon currently.

Anytime is good for me except when I head to the gym. Time Zone?

Well, it might just be me, but XSEED seems to have done reasonably well on keeping various Falcom titles stocked up for a while after release, as well as other things like soundtracks and the like (though there's certainly some non-Falcom games they've handled that could stand to be more available, such as Matrix Software's Avalon Code). It's not that I don't want to grab Cold Steel 2: Electric Boogaloo on release, but I I do need to weigh importance some so I can avoid a Xenoblade style situation where a particular game becomes ridiculously expensive and/or hard to find shortly after release (felt like a dodged a bullet getting Xenoblade when I did, maybe a month after release when copies were still reasonably available and at a much better price than they'd see a few months later).

I just hope that the PS3 version of ToCSII is still somewhat available when I get around to it, considering that's what I got the prior entry for. Not sure if it's been proving more popular with PS3 or Vita owners, or if that might influence one system having better availability of it than the other.

How much text does VD have to translate anyhow? Seems like a western release date of September 16th would be a rather short turn around time on it if it's got a fair amount of text, though I suppose maybe PQube might have had it in the works for a while and only announced it recently.

U.S. Central Standard Time, you?

How do the EDF games run on Vita?

You couldn't figure it out from the name?

Pretty good.

2 chugs whenever you use the flamethrower but aside from that it's generally fine.

Oh. Right-o then.

I actually bought a copy of that for $50, manual, cover art, and all.
But yeah, i've noticed that they keep good stock of Falcom's stuff. Hell, Ys Memories of Celceta is STILL available for $20.

I'm fairly confident that they've been working on it for a good while now

Did anyone get the new Gundam game?

I wonder if you were that user I was trying to keep an eye out for a copy for online a while back.

Anyhow, it wouldn't shock me if part of their deal with Falcom has to keep their stuff in decent supply. Though I will say that where I live, I haven't seen the PSP games all that often physical; mostly Ys Seven and a few copies of Oath in Felghana, but I never see Ys I and II Chronicles around. Though I'm not sure if those just didn't have all that much availability in general, or if the fact they were PSP means they didn't get reprints due to the system being the Pirate Station.

Actually, I don't see Celceta much either locally, but speaking with some workers at various shops, apparently it's not rare at all, just not a game people are prone to trading in much to the point they can go months without seeing a copy and get resold rather fast. Strikes me as a similar case to SSBM, but I certainly hope the prices don't wind up turning out similar years down the road.

Yeah, beat it just yesterday too. Combat's pretty fun but the story mode's not long enough to justify putting in the effort to really git gud at the game. It doesn't help that towards the end the game goes full escort mission and you'll be spending half the time trying to defend your ship/base instead of going out slaughtering some MS. Thankfully courses and random battles are there to sate my desire to go out and simply crack some skulls.

oh boy!

Gal*Gun has a Japanese text option.

Nice.

yup

only a translator with nothing to hide would include that, that's a good sign

That's neat, how many games actually provide both text options? Seems like native dual audio is infrequent enough, and I can't imagine that many games out there had the western publishers see reason to bother with dual text (Super Metroid comes to mind, but I'm not sure if that was also dual text in Japan; either way there's not a horrendous amount of story script there anyhow).

Demon Gaze had both dual-audio and dual-text. Akiba's Trip had it too.

both are 4/10 games unfortunately.
how is gal gun? is it worth playing if i have no sexual attraction to girls

Yeah, after they announced it, the translator said on his twitter, "One of my projects was announced." I wonder what that other game is.

I was playing 1080 avalanche for the N64 today and it had a Japanese text option.

from those two or three buyfag/collector's thread from a few months back? Probably so. I appreciate that still, by the way. I wound up finding this copy on Amazon and snatched it up as soon as I saw it though

Yeah, I think Ys Celceta has wound up sort of like Gravity Rush has, that being, there's so many copies out there it'll never really be "rare" anymore.

Sweet.
post more screenshots

Oh shit, I wonder if UPPERS is another one they're doing then? There's no telling what they've got up their sleeve though, Valkyrie Drive was a pretty big surprise from PQube.

Seems a bit odd Demon Gaze would have dual text, given it's NISA. They probably get enough flak from anons over when the text doesn't match up as a proper translation with what's being said in the audio, just seems like having dual text would make comparison and thus (justified) bitching about them all the easier. Still, I have heard Demon Gaze was one of their better recent translation jobs due to Spike Chunsoft keeping an eye on them.

Exist Archive, maybe? Hopefully? If so, I do hope they're spreading some of these releases out some.

Gravity Rush I've been seeing a lot of though, to the point it's about as common as shovelware on the shelves of some of the stores around here. I assume that the PS4 version has gotten people to sell their old copies though, and demand for said copies might not be that high.

Gal*Gun has HORRIFIC load times and the framerate is pretty poor.

Definitely grab the PS4 version of this one, lads.

Exist Archive was already announced by Aksys. Uppers sounds possible, though. According to his ask.fm page, the other title is currently unannounced.

ask.fm/SciADV/answers/137128834615

Yeah, that's something even PQube can't fix sadly. There's a reason why the Japanese players call the Vita version 'Double Loading'.

I tried the JP PS4 demo and it works great, so that's what I'll be getting.

Probably so.

I was gonna ask just HOW bad the frame rate is, but I found this video IPlayPSVita put up of the Japanese demo gameplay.

….yeah, I'll have to get the PS4 version on this one.

Oh yeah, sorry, Meant Omega Labyrinth instead of Exist Archive.

…yeah, that's pretty bad. The PS4 version is quite fast in comparison.

My first time playing the game was the PS4 version at AnimeExpo.

…let's just say I'm gonna be grabbing a PS4 copy to actually play once my preview is out of the way. Fucking christ I knew it wouldn't be as good as the PS4 version but this is BAD.

Load times are crazy long, but frame-rate looked passable. I'm going with the Vita version, only because I don't own a PS4 and can't afford one.

The framerate is like 15fps whenever more than one girl is on screen.

It has the extra touch controls and vertical mode as bonuses. Go for it, user - PQube deserves the support for their hard work (these performance issues are exactly the same in the JP version).
I also have a Vita, but since I keep mine outdated for the mail exploit and PSP kexploit, I wouldn't be able to play GG anyway since it'll ask me to update… So PS4 for me.

You've played it so you would know better than me. The video posted made the frame-rate seem passable, this is from the first bit of the game, so no doubt it gets worse as the game progresses. Bad frame-rates seem to be fairly standard on Vita anyway.

It's gotta be either UPPERS, Omega Labyrinth, Digimon World Next Order I'm doubtful here, since it's a Bamco-published title, or maybe Root Letter?

What about Net High? Haven't heard anything about that lately, I don't even know if it was released in Japan yet.

Oh man, I almost forgot about that one.

That released back on November 26th.

Root Letters being release in the west by PQube

animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-06-13/pqube-to-release-root-letter-ps4-ps-vita-game-in-the-west/.103180

Oh, sweet, I missed that news.

My money's on UPPERS then, it's gotta be that.

Holy shit I want to eat their hair.

Anyway guys, real talk

If you own both PS4 and Vita, is there any reason at all to buy Vita version of any game?

I mean its great that Vita is still being supported and all but most of the games are just a downgraded version of a PS4 games.

PS TV fag here. I haven't updated since December, can i do the whitelist hack yet?

i can take a vita with me to any room in the house
i can put it in stand-by mode anytime i want for as long as i want
my family bothers me all the fucking time in my house so i have to take frequent breaks, and i like being able to sit at the computer while i play the vita so i can multitask.
i can't go back to console games due to these pros.

besides, the ps4 is a piece of shit. if i got one for free, i'd sell it.

After playing it a bit longer, the framerate seems to be a lot more bearable.

Now then, on to more pressing matters…

Not really, unless you really like portable gaming. Though you could just use remote play if you are in a place with internet.

Wait, the game is out?

You can do that with the PS4 too. Plus with remote play all of those pros are taken care of.

I got a review code.

why get a ps4 just to use it as a middle man to the vita

So you don't have to deal with shitty framerates and load times.

3.52 or lower can execute the failmail exploit required for this.
However, the whitelist hack that applies to all newly installed games (aka the exploit that remains even after you update) will fuck up DLC installation for games. Also, should you do this method and update, rebuilding the DB will break the whitelist and bring things to normal again.
It's honestly not worth it at this point.

oh yeah i guess that makes sense then

Yeah, with remote play, you can just turn your PS4 games into a Vita game.

The only pros for me is that you can play your game in the bed, which you can do with remote play. I live alone so nobody will bother me.

With remote play, you can play any PS4 games on vita making vita port obsolete.

You fucking bastard. are you the guy from techraptor?

Maybe the framerate's just finicky starting out?

Fuck, meant .swf on that greentext. Fucking bui had to ruin posting flash files for everyone.

Still glad some user pointed out back when I got my copy a year or two back that Target had been having a deal on it for $7.50 new. I think used copies are still more than that these days, but I might be wrong.

sup?

Can you get a hold of Andrew House and Shuhei Yoshida and tell them they're a fucking retard for abandoning Vita

The best I can do is bug Yoshida on the Wii U. Does that work?

do you have a degree?

What a clusterfuck. Jesus.

…no? I'm a student right now.

What on earth led to that?

My guess is they decided to delay it to get more copies printed and out for folks that pre-ordered, but forgot to tell their EU distributors and so - since they'd undoubtedly have had the games by this point, since the original release was TODAY - the game is now "out" in the EU.

What? the fuck is going on over there? At least its not Aksys level of fuckups

Are they even trying?

If they're multiplatform, it'll probably be better on the PS4. If it's a port TO the PS4, it's going to be relatively the same shit. I mean, you could just do what PC player do and wait for a port to their platform. You don't really have to buy on the Vita now. That being said, it's not as though everything on the Vita goes straight to the PS4.

I can probably do most evenings. I just need forward notice.

Also, since I did make a i think complete list of all physical NA Vita games, I figured I would share for anyone else that wanted it.
It does show all the upcoming and announced games too, and when their release is. If it is the 31st that usually means it is just a placeholder since we havent gotten an official release date.

That's actually pretty cool. I was thinking of trying that game out. Probably the only VN I'll play on this thing.

Strongly convinced that performance THAT bad is due to poor port work. Whenever I see load times or frame rates like that, it's always coupled with an actually bad port of a game. I direct you to Killzone Mercenary for game that run very well despite being demanding.

So when are those hot sluts releasing Cold Steel 2?

GER, playing the shit out of it.

Do they add anything new?

godeater.wikia.com/wiki/God_Eater_Resurrection

Is there one of these with the digital-only titles like Ray Gigant too?

Yeah, they add all the GERB features on it, plus the "Devour Style" mechanic.
Also, they expanded the plot a little.

Not that I know of. I made that one myself since wikipedia's list is actually inaccurate as to what games did get a physical release. Granted, you can take the wikipedia article and remove the physical list to get a digital only list.

I just created this since Im thinking I may try for a complete Vita collection. Figured other people may be able to benefit from it too.

Considering getting a Vita but I'm not exactly loaded. Wanted to ask if there was any difference between a Japanese Vita and a US one that should affect which kind I buy. Also does anyone have experience with pre-owned ones or should I avoid those at all costs?

Meh, not many new features to interest me. I'm gonna wait for GE2 release

The region only matters what text shows up, unless you can switch to english text or something but Im unsure of that. It isnt region locked so you can play whatever games you want. Just need to make a separate region PSN account if you want to go the digital route.

I have had a used one for almost two years now and it has worked perfectly. I dont think going used is anything real worse than new unless you cant stand that someone else may have touched it before you.

The only difference is the O and X button.
in JP console, O is the yes/ok button and X is no/cancel button. in US console, its vice versa. That's pretty much it

Thanks, that was my biggest concern. I've never bought a used console before, mostly based on personal preference, and I wasn't totally sure about longevity. I've heard a few nightmare stories of break downs in some consoles and wasn't sure if that was a pretty common thing

I've played JP games that didn't change that when ported so it'd just be a muscle memory fix. Sounds like there's no reason to buy one except to claim you're somehow more weeb than the other people with a Vita.

Not exactly, when you first turn on your Vita, you can choose a language for it as part of the initial setup process.

Nah, the console's region free, hence why I picked up an NA one when I was in the States due to them being dirt cheap since the system bombed there. It's a hassle having to remember that X is confirm, but that's about it.

English Intro trailer for Exist Archive is out.
This game might be fun. Odd mix of genres though, platformer and RPG. I'm starting to look forward to it.

From what I hear the PS4 version runs just fine at least. I don't know why they couldn't at least lock the Vita version to 30 FPS though, even if it meant sacrificing some textures.

ToCS2 releases on September 6th for North America

Neat, $20 ain't a bad price either
BUT emulating Rage Burst is free.

If only I had reaction images on this thing. I actually verbally responded with "What fucking textures?" The game is bare bones as fuck. I'm laughing at the idea of textures holding the game performance back. I don't know where they screwed up, but I think they some help in the programming department. Goddamn. I'm still laughing.

In most cases, people just want to get rid of their Vitas. You should be able to find plenty of good condition Vitas used.

As far as I'm aware some consider it a bit of a spiritual successor to Valkyrie Profile, at least in some elements. Stuff like platforming and the side view combat would make sense for it.

Still waiting on some preview shots/footage from Aksys that someone could possibly compare against the Japanese version. Hopefully it's a "Muramasa Rebirth" quality translation, and not one where they fuck around much with it, given Aksys is hit or miss.

The fact that that trailer consists of the game's opening, but lacks the official opening theme though makes me wonder if they bothered to get the rights for "Make a Wish."

whoa shit that's soon

Fair enough, textures are just the first thing that comes to mind (for me) when I think of shitty game performance.

Either way, it's a damned shame the Vita version runs as poorly as it does.

Never played Valkyrie Profile before.

Yeah, I'm hoping for the same. I'm gonna wait until after release to pick it up for that reason, since Aksys can be so iffy.

Maybe it's in the game still as an Extra in the gallery if the game even has that.

Eh, another month and a half. But yeah, it'll be here before we know it

After playing with Gal*Gun for a bit more (I finished a playthrough) it seems that the first level makes a really poor first impression and most of the game runs a lot better. "Park" areas and the cave level have issues, but for the most part the game is perfectly fine.

so it's more the environments than it is enemies on screen?

About how long does one playthrough of the game take?

eh, still gonna go for the PS4 version, My memory card can't take much more anyway.

Yes and no. When there are a lot of girls on screen the framerate DOES dip, but it's mostly noticeable in those areas. I'd say the lowest it gets normally is 20-22 fps? Those stages have it drop to 15 fps at certain points.

I'd definitely go with PS4 if I had the option though. A playthrough took me about… I want to say 6-7 hours? There are a few different routes - atleast 5 - and I still need to redo my first girl to get her True end. There's plenty of content here, especially when you consider you tend to get multiple options for stages to play to advance the story and even multiple routes in some of the stages.

Add in the little sidequests system (looking for shit in stages to complete quests for girls) and it's a pretty large game with lots of replayability.

Any absolute must buy games? Also what are some good long term RPGs, preferably with some form of character customization via class systems

If I get a Quad for free, you better fucking believe I'd get Bloodborne and Gravity Rush 2. I know if I sold it, then all of that money would go into inflating my already large backlog.

Lets hope they patch the Vita version to make it run better. REv2 had the same problem (still does) but it at least runs better post-patch.

Dungeon Travelers 2 fits both of those criteria.

Still plan on importing a physical copy of that. I hope I enjoy it.

Absolutely none. I can only make recommendations based on what you have an interest in. Sounds like you want a Dungeon Craweler, though. That, or an SRPG. It's not a Vita game, but if you haven't already, you should get Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Fan-goddamn-tastic game, and it features Cloud and Balthier(who has amazing stealing abilities).

Glad to hear it's got plenty of content, I'm looking forward to it.

One could hope, but seeing the Japanese demo runs like ass, as this current version does, I don't have much faith in that.

The Vita version was already patched.

STILL laughing.

fuck you

Isn't that the updated version of the original Tactics? I mean I love the tactics games, love old school "make your own party" FFs. And yeah, maybe a dungeon crawl would work, Etrian was fun to me.

Censored how? And is it still fun or did they neuter it when they localized it?

Do you have any current gen consoles (not WiiU) or a decent PC?
Might be better not even touching the Vita version unless all you're going to play is Raid. Pretty cool knowing that the physical comes with all kinds of languages for text and voice though, might actually consider that myself since I'm a huge fan of the series. I'm surprised no one mentions it in discussion of dual audio.

Great, guess I'll play this in a year or so when Quads are cheap as dirt.

It's still fun, and still has a ton of fanservice.

there's a few censored/altered CGs, pic related

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. KZ:M was made for the Vita exclusively, so it makes sense.
Since Gal Gun is originally a console game (360 then PS3) it's highly likely that the 'base' version is the PS4 one and the Vita version is the port from it.

From what I understand, a few scenes were redone. 4 of them. I don't think it was that bad, but you can probably find a comparison online. The localization is fine.

Yep. Rewritten script, a couple new classes {spoiler]That you probably won't get without a guide[/spoiler] and bonus characters. I believe cutscenes were added, too.

Okay, that's some egregious censoring. Muh Western values. I like compression shorts, though.

Wasn't there a new FF coming out some time soon, actually? What was that about?

My nigga. Sorry I only really have Inkling spats.

Natural Doctrine.

Driving around and "being a member of the gang" fighting with a bunch of edgy k-pop band looking faggots with barebones generic "GET UP ON THE HYDRAS BACK" type ARPG. Cindy's cute though.

Here's the original opening if it's of interest. I'm just curious why they would have swapped the song out if they do indeed have access to it for the western release.

Honestly though, if it isn't making it into the western version, I'd have preferred an instrumental instead of them just replacing it with whatever song that is in the trailer. I mean, looking at Wild Arms 2 and Tales of the Abyss, for example, those didn't have the lyrical versions, but instead WA2 had trumpet heavy renditions of "You'll Never Be Alone" and "Resistance Line" while TotA had an electric guitar or something replace the lyrics for "Karma."

There is a PSP version of FFT, but it's got some annoying slowdown for spells to my knowledge. A fan made patch existence for use with emulation or a CFW PSP. Doubt you can use said patch with the Vita at this point though.

If you're open to PSP tactical RPGs in general though, the system had a lot, and most if not all should be able to be bought on the PSN and put on the Vita.

...

I might give it a replay. But if I think about it, isn't Disgaea or however you spell it pretty big on Sony handhelds?

And now that you mention it are there good ARPG games? I find them to be pretty fun.

I have the PC version. I just wanted to play it on the Vita. I was disappointed to find that the port wasn't as good as it could have been.

Good lord, this is a weird country. Goddamn Puritans.

World of Final Fantasy is probably what you're referring to. You might want to look that one up.

According to Atlus. We don't know if they changed it before or after sending it to ESRB.

For Vita you got Muramasa Rebirth, Soul Sacrifice, Ys, Odin Sphere, and Dragon's Crown.
I don't know about Damascus Gear or SAO Lost Song since I haven't played them.

Salt and Sancturary is getting a cross-buy Vita port soon, I played it on PC and it's really good. It actually does a good job of copying Souls into a 2D format and there's a good level of build variety.

NIS in general has liked the PSP and Vita, though some of their stuff never came west (like La Pucelle Ragnarok and Phantom Kingdom Portable, both of which are fan translated), but that does beg the issue of whether you want to give NISA money at this point. Especially since in the west, there's no device to let you play (or download to? I forget how exactly it works in Japan) your UMD copies of games on the Vita, which would get around the issue of giving them money.

I can throw together a list in a few for tactical PSP games, if you want some to consider.

Absolutely. I don't really feel any ire towards any devs besides Capcom for being lazy cunts and not giving Vita a proper Monhun soon pretty open to suggestion

Anyone playing it online?

Wait aren't there two games like monhun on Vita? Toukiden and God eater?

Not even close.

I don't know if that Nintendo contract rumor was true, but either way, they've got a bigger install base on 3DS, so I'm not surprised there isn't a Vita version. Frontier is a thing, I guess.

I'm pretty sure they had a falling out with Sony when they tried to fuck with the game's content.

Toukiden a shit.
A shit!

Yeah, five if you want to include Soul Sacrifice, Freedom Wars, and Ragnarok Odyssey though they're more of their own thing than like MonHun.

Probably some others I'm forgetting as well (there's also the aforementioned fan translated ones, but as far as I'm aware they can't be put on the Vita at this point, though I could be wrong). I expect you can find most of these on the PSN. Also worth being aware that a fair amount are ports (though admittedly in the case of Growlanser, the original PS2 version never even came west). Anyhow, just some ideas for you to look into.

Worth mentioning that if he gets Soul Sacrifice, he'll probably be wanting the Delta version, which is unfortunately digital only in the west unless you want to lurk until Heavy Arms announces another export shipment of the Asia/Pacific English print.

ZHP is pretty great. Balthier wrecks shit and replaces the shitty gunner character with one who is good.

You forgot Ragnarok Tactics and Breach & Clear.

What makes the Delta version different/better?

Guess I failed the interview or something. Damn, Kroger's too good for me, huh?

Summon, Dances, and Songs have noticeable slowdowns, but generally speaking, it's not bad.

It's basically the original + more content.
soulsacrifice.wikia.com/wiki/Soul_Sacrifice_Delta

Strange.

Also, I'm not sure why a lot of PS2 NIS tactical RPGs got PSP versions, yet Soul Nomad never did.

From the PSN page on it (I admittedly haven't played it yet, so maybe some other user can give outright specifics):

Huh, thought I had do not bump unchecked.

I should probably add that SSD has seen a permanent price mark down on the PSN from about $36 (I think) to $18 or so, and every so often gets in flash sales for $4 or so.

if you like monster hunter that much, then don't listen to anyone who tells you to play monster hunter clones. each and every one of them is godawful trash with 1/10th the depth and difficulty of monster hunter.
the bosses literally stand there and do nothing while you beat on them.

Jesus. I wouldn't expect them to measure up but I didn't think they'd make something easier than monhun. That just sounds godawful

don't blame the devs, blame the japanese consumer base. phones ruined the gooks, they're so used to phone games now that they write death threats to game devs that make hard games.

Eh, phones have contributed, but I'd say it's the same as always - MonHun got mainstream popular as fuck, and then made everyone butthurt they sucked shit at it, so the larger part of the audience started looking for the easy shit. There's still a hardcore crowd here, same as there's still a hardcore crowd in the West I assume - we just get mostly ignored for the more profitable mass audience who wants auto-win feel-good shit, like Kingdom Hearts and cell phone games here, or GTA and FPS games there.

How the fuck does anyone get so casual?

(checked)
Actually MonHun is pretty damn profitable in Japan.

haha holy shit

We do. It was before. Same ole' shit you see from NISA and other lazy greedy faggots.

Source: nichegamer.com/2015/04/23/dungeon-travelers-2-to-have-slight-censoring-to-avoid-esrbs-ao-rating/

It is exceptionally profitable - like I said, it got mainstream as fuck, and people buy it even if they suck at it because of multiplayer. They still want something easier though, which is where the rush of clones try to jump in.

I see. As much as I'm enjoying this game, I can't deny that that is total bullshit. If you must censor, do it out of necessity, not because your fraudulent spidey senses are tingling.

Who is "they" referring to? The numbers are showing pretty small migration rates.

I'm guessing the ESRB charges per ratings check as opposed to a "one price per game" sort of thing, and various companies would rather not take the risk of having to resubmit and drop even more money if it actually does outright require content removal to get less than AO? If so, I suppose it would explain why a lot of statements seem to be the "we did an unofficial consultation and made the choice from there" type.

Still, PQube's been proving that the ESRB really doesn't seem to mind lewdness that much, at least as long as you're not outright showing nudity, I suppose.

They don't even mind that as long as it's not hardcore. This pic is from an M rated game.

Here's the thing - "they," being the large casual base that wants something easier, won't move en masse because the Monster Hunter title has already built that critical mass of recognition and fame. They would need to somehow all decide on one to move to together, and that's not going to happen - same as WoW or CoD addicts won't move on to another MMO or FPS or why for the most part people didn't leave 4chan until Moot went full retard, and even THEN tons of people still haven't

Wow. What exactly counts as "hardcore" then? Rape?

Actually showing penetration.

Ah. So I guess that image of that chick apparently getting fucked from behind while not actually showing the D is just "softcore?"

Nope, there's rape in FEAR 2.

It seems pretty clear that the ESRB is following the MPAA's general rating rules: brief nudity (up to and including implied sex) gets an R in movies and gets an M in games. Companies claiming otherwise are just using the ESRB as an excuse to fuck around with localizations.

Most of what you said is true, but this quoted bit is the kicker. There is almost never a real chance of this hypothetical happening. Just about fucking never.

Any company tells you that there is is lying to you, 100% of the time, especially when we're talking about weeb anime games.

And the ESRB is fine being their apparent scapegoat? I expect they could easily make a statement that the publishers are the ones opting to censor without doing official consultations on whether a game would indeed get an AO rating or not, without it impacting their business that much since games in the states require a rating to even be sold at retail.

On a related note, while I suppose it's a sad case for aussies, kudos to IFI for opting to apparently not change shit about MeiQ since the Australian ratings board refuses to rate it, rather than doing what Namco's apparently doing with JBA: Eyes of Heaven and removing a Nazi outfit for the entire western release, since Germany apparently refuses to allow anything of that sort in their media.

They have no reason to care - whether people buy a game or not has zero impact on their profits.

I think the ESRB just doesn't care. Technically, an ESRB rating is entirely voluntary, so they don't have to go around defending their existence. Also, Vita games aren't exactly major players in the overall American videogame market.

The ESRB seems to be actually quite professional. They do their job accurately, impartially, and precisely, without being bogged down into the shitflinging and (unfortunately) politics that have wormed their way into the game scene.

ESRB are cool guys. Never think ill of them because of the publisher and PR lies.

I suppose, but if I was there and in some higher up position to make choices, I don't think I'd want publishers trying to tell their customers that my company was the one to blame for changes having to be made when said publishers don't wan to bother with the chance of multiple official ratings/consultations. But that's just me.

If it had any risk of endangering my job or profits, sure. They have no reason to give any fucks.

Fuck that shitty country, they worship Australia's garbage censorship and vice versa.

Makes me wonder if Germany (or PAL entirely) even saw that 360 Atlus game with Nazi werewolves or whatever Operation Darkness was.

i make myself sick sometimes just thinking about the fact that right now in this very thread there are people who still visit 4chan daily and have a 4chan tab opened right next to this tab.

germany is israel 2.0, every other country should encourage their liberals and their muslim immigrants to go there instead

If you want to find people to play games with, /vg/'s vita thread is alright. Unfortunately, if you're looking for something that isn't FOTM, you'll still struggle to get something set up.

I haven't been back since I left halfchan well over a year ago. Meanwhile a friend of mine still frequents there between the larger poster base and having been under the assumption that Holla Forums was still in the "horribly fucked" state it was prior to Codemonkey coming in to fix things. At best I suppose he'll always be a cross-siter as need be.

He does mention that they've been having a fair amount of threads on a series I've really come to enjoy that there's not enough demand for discussion to start threads for here, but that's still not enough to get me to go back.

OK one, tell your friend he's a fucking retard and I hope he gets datamined.
Two,
>He does mention that they've been having a fair amount of threads on a series I've really come to enjoy that there's not enough demand for discussion to start threads for here
Where do the two of you think you are? All kinds of niche shit are discussed here, this thread included. What series is it that is possibly unable to garner any interest here? Unless it's just shit.

It's not as though most threads on this board are very active. Just this thread, that's fairly broad in scope is relatively slow.

I don't play multiplayer myself, just explaining why things are the way they are with MonHun and it's various clones.

Depends on the thread really.
Ace Combat, RE, dead in 50 or so replies.
Souls, MonHun, etc. Daily new threads.

Threads based on franchises that don't have new games coming out soon lose a lot of steam, which is why AC suffers so much.

Shadow Hearts, given that it's already niche even for a JRPG, and the series has been dead for a decade. There's not much point in trying to outright start a thread on it that's only going to get maybe ten or so posts before dying off, so I've generally been trying to make do with more broadly focused threads where it can still fit, like OST threads, PS2 threads, and JRPG focused threads (and even then, I think it's probably only me and one or two other anons that are really in to discussing it at this point). Just kind of one of those games/franchises where at this point they don't exactly warrant making an entire thread for if there's not much discussion to be had. Plenty of other IPs that were just a few games long, if not one-off ones, that are like that, and didn't maintain longrunning popularity to still garner frequent discussion (if they were popular in general anyhow).

Also probably worth keeping in mind that this place doesn't have the same level of traffic that halfchan gets (which in a number of ways is something to be thankful for), which likely further reduces the amount of people that would want to discuss it.

And yeah, I've tried getting my friend to jump ship for quite a while, but it's never taken. He actually claims the average posting quality here is about the same at this point as it is at halfchan, so I suppose it winds up being a mix of "I'll cross-site if I want to" and "why leave home if the quality's the same."

store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/flash-sale/cid=STORE-MSF77008-FLASHSALEWEBLP

reminder to anyone considering buying this that it's literally just the PSP games with absolutely zero changes

Seems a bit early for the monthly flash sale if you ask me. Not a whole lot for the Vita either.

I do see Okami HD and Neo Contra being marked down for the PS3 though.

Oh hey, are you Shadow Heats user? Yeah I get what you're saying about niche games having a hard time supporting themselves. There's a reason there's a "Vita" thread in general instead of multiple threads for each game.
>I've tried getting my friend to jump ship for quite a while, but it's never taken. He actually claims the average posting quality here is about the same at this point as it is at halfchan
Haha, on 2nd thought tell him to go back. I had a friend like this who was a Redditor that started using Halfchan. I know he's your friend but these kind of people should just go back. Crossposting is cancer. It's not worth the time, so just don't say anything.

Awesome. But if I buy anything now, I can't get Natural Doctrine.

He's not new to imageboards at all at the very least (probably as long as I have, and looking back through my folders, I'd been at least lurking since '06 or '07), and from what I know he's been a decent enough poster when he's had me proofread stuff in the past for him. I think he's just still been under the impressions that Holla Forums is broken and the posterbase here too low since people understandably left when the site was repeatedly shitting itself nonstop. But yeah, I imagine that cross-siting is part of what's driven quality down as people show up here from other places.

Yeah, I am (also Wild Arms user). Unfortunately there's just been nothing new as far as the series goes to warrant making individual threads for it. No new games, no rereleases, no nothing. The most it's had for quite a while was an Italian group doing, translating, and publishing an interview with two of the guys that worked on the series earlier this year.

At least with Wild Arms this is the 20th anniversary, Kaneko wants to apparently do something to celebrate, and Wild Arms 3 got a PS4 PSN rerelease recently, so that did warrant a thread (which still nonetheless died after maybe 50 posts).

Actually they have been modified.
They've removed some songs due to licencing.

Spoonfeed me
What's the game?

...

At least still have your empire

Where the fuck is Leafa fag? Nigga, where the fuck are you and why have you not posted best waifu?

PAL PSN seriously doesn't do flash sales?

store.steampowered.com/app/458380/
You can see the M rating on the Steam store page.

H-Haha, yeah

I have never seen a single one. Not in all the years I've owned this thing (got it on release), or watching my friend on his pissthree.
There's a "weekend sale" on at the moment for triple and vita games, but it's literally all trash, bargain bin tier stuff from back in the release window.

Does it fuck. We usually get better sales over christmas/new year though. Maybe we get a bone thrown to us over easter too.

Is it worth 10 bucks?

You guys should ask SCEE or whoever for better than you're getting. We get flash sales once a month or so.

While you're at it, ask if they can perhaps make use of the digital rerelease format and give you guys the US versions of various older games you missed out on the first time around. I mean, the US PSN has some games that were Japan only back in the day on it now. I don't see why something already in English would be ineligible.

The Ratchet and Clank collection?
I'd say so, it's 3 very solid games, my favourites from the PS2 era. Seems to run just fine on Vita too unlike the disaster that was the Jak collection.

Vita is dead.

I meant for you. I'm not buying it.

Well yeah I guess, but it's usually not 10 bucks, it's usually £20 which is about $26 (and it is, currently) which is why I haven't bothered with it yet. Missed the last few sales when it was included, or prioritised buying other things I guess.

I can only imagine it would be to do with the ESRB Or BBFC for us in the UK, but they don't really handle games anymore and them not wanting to submit the game for rating twice.
I'll see if I can mail the bloke who heads the PSN EU updates, I used to talk to him on twitter regularly before I deleted my account so I'll see what he says. It could be a licensing issue or just Sonys faggotry, I'm guessing it's probably the latter.

Jesus that was awful, does anyone know if it ran as bad on PS3 or was it just the Vita that got the shitty end of the stick again?

It was fucked on PS3, too. Obviously not quite as bad, but still fucking awful.
They used the PS2 architecture in a way that couldn't be replicated the same on the PS3 and Vita, and the porting team were too retarded to deal with it. That's my very basic understanding of the situation from what I've heard.

It's not, there is precedent for it. Breath of Fire 3 PSP was originally only released in Europe and Japan, but they finally released it digitally in NA recently.

There's some good ARPGs though.

Part of it is that I'm not even sure they bothered to submit stuff like Xenogears or Wild Arms 2 to you guys the first time around. I mean, Xenogears sold great here in the US, though with Wild Arms 2, while a classic now, it seems like it got a lot of flak back in the day from critics. In the case of Wild Arms 2 though, Sony themselves own the series, so it's not like they'd need some secondary company's permission.

Really just strikes me as a waste. There's some English games that didn't get a PAL release and some that didn't see a NA one, and the PSN and VC could have been utilized better to allow for finally giving people games their region missed out on. It's like they want people to make out of region accounts or emulate.

True. Still took them a damn long enough time, and even then it's only the PSP version they put up there (I hear rumor that the PS1 version missing a trademark or registration somewhere might have prevented it from being put on the PSN, since as far as I know, all PSN rereleases have to be the same as the original versions; though of course, with the PS4 PS2 rereleases having updated graphics and trophies, I suppose that might be out the window).

Not like copies of the games are expensive or even hard to find.

Would be pretty comfy on the Vita though.

No, that's pretty much it. One of the things they fucked up was the controls when they ported it (at least from the Vita version I played). The game wasn't optimised properly at all on Vita. What was wrong exactly with the PS3 version? I can only imagine that they couldn't be arsed getting the engine to run properly and just half assed it.

It is comfy. Super comfy. Right up until the moment you press the analog stick forward to move. Then the nightmare begins.

Dogshit framerate. Other generic bugs that I've heard people report.

There's a few classics on there that they specifically say is the US version, but I think that's more to do with the fact that US games had a faster refresh rate than PAL games (60hz vs 50hz or whatever it was)

I don't remember the Vita version having a particularly shitty framerate, just the controls being monumentally terrible. I'm actually (somewhat) glad I never played it on PS3 now.

Did we play the same game, m80?
My eyes were bleeding from start to finish from what I could take of Jak 1.
I remember feeling fucking relieved when I started Jak 2 and the framerate was actually playable in the beginning area.
Then I walked out into the city, and I just held the power button in frustration when the frames dropped off a fucking cliff and stayed there. What a shitshow, I've never tried it again.

...

Godfuckingdamnit I cannot escape. IT PULLS ME BACK IN EVERY TIME I SWEAR

yes this is game CG. No it's not DT2. It's Final Dragon Chronicle, aka THT2:DT

I'll admit, it's been a while, bud. The control issue was the only thing that's stuck with me. I'll reinstall it though and have a good look.

Ready whenever you are e6b8f0.

Did you sell RO:ACE yet?

Does NAPSN even bother with vita anymore?

er *psplus I mean

I'm here, barely. My power is out thanks to a nasty storm, so I'm stuck to my mobile.

So unfortunately, no RO Ace tonight either, as I have no internet.

ive been trying to tone down the SAO sperging some. I'll post more best-girl for you once my power & Internet are back up

Already swing and a miss, huh, Aksys?

Would the old PS1 refresh rates matter at this point for the PSP/Vita/PS3? I mean, you can put whatever region's PSN on your account (and in the case of the PSP, drop most PS1 games on it as eboots regardless of region), so why not make use of the digital format to give people more games they hadn't gotten official access to before?

Wonder if maybe Techraptor-user could ask if the opening song has indeed been cut and replaced or if they just did something odd for the trailer.

Least Aksys could do is give us an orchestrated version if so, rather than complete replacement.

argos were selling the retail version for 9.99
i got one
you didn't
i'm not even gonna play it

Homebrew when? I just wanna play emulators on the go.

tfw too busy actually playing games for once to shitpost
tfw can't sleep cause i'll sleep till 4 PM and miss the fed ex man delivering my shit

get a GPD XD. retards will tell you the psp is the only emulator device you need, but call me when the psp can play dreamcast and DS games.

forgot to add N64

You can already emulate shit on low firmware vitas. Check TN-V / ARK / VHB-L on Wololo website.

Quite so. Nothing I'd leap at, though. DT2 is this month's game. And actually the prices seem to be a bit cheaper for JPN's plus membership than the US.

The year subscription is the only thing the same, at about $49 with the current exchange rate.

Though the trade-off isn't exactly what I'd call good. It's difficult for me to gauge since my moon is still pigeon level. They DO have a lot of deals on a monthly basis and discounts, just wrapped in different advertisements.

Example: If any of you are interested in Bullet Girls and can afford the digital space, it's selling for half-off right now. Even moreso with a plus account. Spend the ¥551 and just get it for ¥1285 I believe the price was.

Also, the lingerie and swimsuit DLC packs for Omega Labyrinth is on sale if anyone wants that.

As I said, the plus game of the month is Dungeon Travelers 2 (JPN which means no censor), and that Coven and the Labyrinth of Refrain demo is a psplus exclusive.

Don't you have to keep paying the subscription to keep playing the games you get from Plus though? I'd rather just buy the game and have it forever.

damned storm knocking my power out. I was really looking forward to play RO:Ace last night too.

I'll be free to play RO: Ace tonight though, around 10:30~11:00 CST. **And it's not supposed to storm again today*

Yup, but my intents were on Bullet Girls. DT2 was just a bonus on top of that at zero costs. It's side fun. I'm already too deep in my own english copy to get involved with another copy just yet.

At least you've been getting rain with that storm, hopefully. Supposed to be 109 or so here today where I live, though considering it was supposedly the same temperature here the other day, but the family car's thermometer was returning 113 outside, I'm thinking it's probably going to be warmer.

So, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational is currently $9.29 on Amazon. Is it worth it? Is it fun even?

Damn user, that's some intense heat. It's mostly just uncomfortably humid and about 90 degrees here most of the summer, the highest the heat index gets is about 105 on the worst days. I wish I had a pool

Honestly, 109 is nothing. We've already had it up to 120 last month or so, and I think the hottest day I've lived through it clocked in at 126 at the airport's weather station when I was one or two (so over two decades back at this point). Still, I'm good as long as the fans and AC work in the house, and thankfully I'm no longer stuck having to take classes at outdoor campuses where you'd have to wait outside for the teacher/professor to unlock the door.

It was less than 5 bucks a week or so ago. It's more than worth it, if you like it. There's a short demo available. I could go on about it, considering it's my favorite game on the platform, but you'd get more out of just playing it than me talking about it.

Nope. Might be available this evening.

Choice. I ground up my Cleric to stage four, found a Halmonas weapon for her, but it was a different model than the ones I saw online so I took a bad path with it. e6b8f0 said 0430 GMT was a good time. I sent you a friend request.

RO:ACE is a step up in every way from vanilla RO. It sucks I am eventually going to have to go back for my trophies.

That had to be miserable. Jesus. At least you're able to keep cool during all that.

Oh, I didn't even think to look for a demo. I'll just give that a shot then.

Nice. I guess I'll just be using my archer then, so I can keep up.

new sale when

Just go with what works for you. In the second stage you gain the ability to change classes. It don't matter what levels we pay, I just need to knock the multiplayer out for trophies.

Every Tuesday with a monthly Friday flash sale.

I'm planning to get a vita come next paycheck.
Where are places that have them cheap? All I really want it for is for Oreshika and digimon.

Just know that 5 minutes is not enough time with the game, but it's the best. THE BEST.

Ebay's pretty good.

Oreshika is "free" on PS+ right now if you have it

Well, I'm not sure what your local options are like, but I know one of the better vidya stores around me only asks like $130 for used ones, and have been doing so for a good while now. Still, they're in it for a profit, and not just someone trying to get someone to take it off their hands cheaply. You might have better luck on ebay (or perhaps craigslist, if that works where you are) as far as finding cheaper ones.

I meant that the campuses were for the most part open to the elements (thankfully my high school wasn't like that; who the fuck wants outdoor campuses in the desert for K-12?). Some of them were at least in their own cluster buildings in the college I went to, so there were places indoors to wait even if class hadn't started yet. The real issue was the morning classes, as until the teacher/professor arrives to unlock the room, you're stuck outside, and the AC doesn't come on until they actually get in the room. By the time it finally kicks in and the room cools down, it's time to leave for the next class so you don't even get to cool yourself off. You would not believe how bad 9 AM classes can feel here between heat and late summer/early fall humidity.

All I have near me is FUCKING GameStop, the indy stores are more focused on Nintendo and retro gaming.

I see, so no general used video game stores (in that they carry anything and everything, as opposed to only retro or only current/semi-current like Gamestop)? Then yeah, I suppose lurking online places for people just trying to get something, even if it's lower then the average price, for their system would be the best option, unless Fucking Gamestop has a sale on them or something.

In the meantime, you might also want to keep an eye out for memory cards that aren't at full price.

Worst fucking part about outdoor campus schools. Winter or Summer.

Just bookmark wololo you ginormous cunt how many fucking times do you have to be told.

Makes me wonder if mentioning wololo and posting that image of what's currently available for the system ought to be staples for Vita thread OPs.

Winter I didn't mind it here much. I mean, we get mildly chilly (I suppose 50-60 during the day isn't cold for some people, but it is for us here) and windy, but it's not freezing and we don't get snow. Waiting outside in the summer though is murder, and one of my teachers in elementary school would send people out into the heat to do wall-sits as punishment for misbehaving. Hell, sometimes he had the whole class do it.

Sometimes it would get so hot out the school would cancel recesses and we'd just have to read or something indoors(not that I minded) instead of playing on equipment, running around, or using the big four-way drinking fountain as a beyblade arena.

Garou: Mark of The Wolves is getting a PS4/Vita port

Noice

It's also playable at EVO, so the release might not be far off.

This flash sale looks pretty nice. I'm probably gonna buy

What do you goys think about:

Also, is Darius Burst Chronicles Saviours Worth the price?

I once had a JXD S5800 (the phone hybrid one). It was powerfull and had a nice screen, but the buttons sucked and it fell apart within months of use, so I gave up on android handhelds, and just use a N3DS with CFW and PSP.

Is the GPD XD decent enough? I don't really care about performance, but I absolutely need good quality and confortable buttons.

This sale is meh with not enough weeb games. The psp games are not worth it if you already have a psp (or a vita w TN-V). At least it save me some bucks. Also VGP is free shipping again this month

Helldivers gets old really fast, especially if you don't have friends to play with, and the DLC is ridiculous.

The recent sales have been shit for Vita anyway. I think the last time there was really good shit up for sale was around christmas time.
At least in the UK, I'm not sure what burger sales are like

Well, as far as recent US sales go, they had markdowns on Ar Nosurge Plus, Atelier Ayesha Plus, Atelier Totori Plus, Dungeon Travelers 2, and Lost Dimension, among some other games for the midyear sales.

Digimon cyber sluth
Zero escape virtues last reward

SK Estival
Ikagura has best moveset

FUCKING GameStop sells used ones at an okay price but without memory cards so yeah, online for me.
Is 4gb enough for two games? Because these memory prices disgusting.

Depends on the game. Some of mine get up around three and a half. With add ons it can go over.

Depends on the game(s) in question; some Vita games like the Plus versions of the PS3 Atelier games, can be around 3 GB each, and I think I've heard with updates and patches, some games are even bigger. And don't think you can stack the memory card with the internal 1 GB memory for [X+1] GB, it doesn't work like that.

If you want a heads up, you might want to check around for memory cards around Black Friday. When I got my system maybe two years back now, they had the 16GB cards half off. Which was still $20, but it beats paying $40. Still a ways off, but something to perhaps keep in mind.

Ridiculous that they ask $40 for 16 GB, yet you can (or at least, could, at the time I bought one) get a 32 GB PSP memory stick for $20. I suppose the latter's considered out of date though.

Should probably mention that 1 GB internal memory only applies to the 2000 model.

Did you thank PQube for breaking NISA into going full damage control?

Going to be hilarious if they start to directly banter at some of these notoriously shitty companies like NISA, 8-4, Treehouse, and NoA over the shit they've pulled.

hhaha i almost feel sorry for this guy for having to answer all these tough questions, i would NOT want to be in his shoes, it would've taken me four days to come up with so many blatant lies.

Got home from work early tonight, new thread already standing by for later. I'm pumped for some RO:Ace. Is 10:30 CST / 3:30 GMT still good for you guys?

What a faggot. I wonder if he'd still seriously defend NISA if they didn't pay him to do that shit of course, that's implying they pay him to do this.

THANKS BE TO BASED PQUBE

Whoops, I meant 11PM CST / 4:00AM GMT for RO:Ace

Yeah I am up for it. By the way you don't have to play any one character. The party is limited by the lowest level character and I don't mind redoing the earlier levels for drops so I can craft myself some more pretty dresses.

btw my cleric now kinda looks like alf Asuna.

All right, I'll still probably just use my Hunter anyway, it's a fun class.

I should give my Hunter long blonde hair and green eyes then :^)
I just might

bump

Chewed through a good bit of RO: Ace with 2ee9ee, learned that Hunter sucks ass and Mage is fucking rad as hell. In fact, any class besides Hunter is pretty good. Being able to change classes is pretty convenient; don't have much use for my second character now though.

The Archmage outfit is delicious

As much as it sounds like bullshit that he doesn't have a customer feedback email, I'm honestly not seeing one on either their game or corporate sites, just ways to phone, fax, or reach their physical HQs.

Sounds like an awesome place.

"we tell them we promise they don't care or would care if we told them"
They had this coming for the longest of fucking times. Feels good man.

Huh, I wasn't aware they went to Niche Gamer.
I wonder if the guy saw that I called him a fucking worm the last time he went into damage control overdrive.

I don't even know why he would think going to the Niche Gamer forums would be a good idea considering what happened with their interview

I love the community at Niche Gamer. Always see some damage controlling fanboy get BTFO in a public setting, which is very satisfying.

Can I be a wizard in that game?
A proper wizard, mind.

Heh actually, I think it may have been on the interview comments section I called him a fucking worm.
Christ knows why he ever thought going to Niche Gamer was a good idea in the first place, he must have known that he'd catch shit from the community there. Surely NISA staff don't actually think that people outside of their forum hugbox like them.

To be honest I don't often check the comments, I'll make sure to from now on though. I enjoy seeing raging fanboys get their shit handed to them.

Think you might be thinking of the one on operation rainfall, cause the nichegamer one never happened because 99% of the questions suggested on twitter were all about censorship, shitty localizations and broken releases.

New thread lads!

Uh, you can make a male Mage. I don't think you can make him old with a beard though.

wow, fucked that up, lets try again

Shit, it wasn't even niche gamer, it was techraptor when they did an article on nisas announcement on what they'd be butchering.
I remember I was particularly angry that day
