As long as the game stays in its current state, then people will likely move on due to the lack of content present. Unfortunately however due to the massive amounts of money that Nintendo is already earning from this game, I don't see its updates or its popularity going away any time soon. The game already has more than 10 million players in a week on Android alone and it hasn't even been released in Japan yet.

As for the bitching in this thread, why even complain? You aren't forced to play it or even associate with people that play it. As for the OP, it sounds like he's self-conscious, how is he sure that the guy was even paying attention to him. Are you guys sure it isn't your social anxiety that makes you hate the game? I'll admit I was nervous at first to go out and participate but it's actually pretty fun to catch Pokemon and socialize, I've even reconnected with some old friends because of it.

TL;DR: if you're mad at the game that's pretty autistic within itself, it's just a fucking casual mobile game.
