I played MGO2 a lot and there was really no reason to ever CQC anyone outside of Team Sneaking. At least MGO3 provides a better incentive to use it with the fulton system. Also the cardboard box has a more practical use as well(removing marks) instead of just being used for gimmicky meta-tactic to confuse enemies in MGO2.(boxpopping) I know what I'm saying goes against the MGO hivemind but fuck it.

What I mean is a mehcanical keyboard and not a membrane keyboard that supports more then 3-7 maximum simultaneous button inputs (at least 12-16). On a mechanical keyboard each button is on a switch while a membrane keyboard uses 3-4 membranes which interconnect the various buttons which significantly bottlenecks input you will frequently get split second input overrides, zero input being registered at all, or just not being able to button mash (fucking god damned QTEs). Oh and you don't need to push the button all the way to the bottom either but it'll take a couple weeks to get used to that part.

Demon's Souls is a very different and all things considered, better game than Dark Souls. The approach to the level design is completely changed - and level design has always been a key part of all the games in the KF/ST/Souls series.

I imagine the keyboard would be like a lump of buttons, with a thumbstick instead of WASD for so you'd have more than just 8 degrees of movement. And the Mouse would have more buttons.

Unless there's special firmware (in which case, I don't think it's technically a keyboard, don't know how that works), that stick would be limited to 8 directions. There's already mice with lots of buttons made for gay men, but it'd be interesting to see how styluses go outside of Drum Hero

Thumbsticks are slow as fuck. Completely unusable for any fast paced game.

The 8 directions you can move with a keyboard are more than enough. At most it gives around 11 or so degress of inaccuracy, which is probably below the human threshold of how well most people can control things anyway.
