Why are console players so bad compared to pc players?

Why are console players so bad compared to pc players?
Is it because controllers are an inferior input device?

yes.

You answered your own question, OP.

Most PC-focused players I've met are terrible at action games outside FPS to be honest.

I guess maybe you should precede that with "modern" console players though. Console players once reveled in challenge. PC players on the other hand have always had the hand-holding of excessive save abilities provided designers who don't understand the importance of risk-reward dynamics.

Are you including ASSFAGGOTS casuals there too as PC players?

Yes, it is the reason why many FPS games now have the weapon snap to the enemy whenever you press to aim down the sights, it is to compensate for how shit controllers are for fast movement

Surely you are jesting? Even console players couldn't fall this low.

Game that is better to be played with mouse and keyboard is usually best to be played with it.

Game that is better to be played with joystick - has to be played with joystick.

FPS and RTS games aren't made for analog sticks. Neither fighting games or action games like dark souls - for keyboard.

sage for shit thread
even owning modern console is a disgrace

Nigger, do you remember how fucking horrible floppies use to be?
You'd rather not save than have to deal with a sack of like 50 different save games, half of them not even working because floppies were absolute garbage that should never have even existed. The fuckers were expensive for years, too. Usually you'd ask your dad if you could write over one of his discs because he wouldn't buy you any new ones.

Yes.
In the case of fps and rts.
It's basically even otherwise.

It's been a common feature in console FPS since Halo, and probably before. At least you could turn it off in TimeSplitters.

Classic DOOM had vertical autoaim, although that's for technical reasons.

It's called aim "assist"

It's both vertical and horizontal in Doom.

OH LET'S TALK ABOUT AUTOMATIC AIM CORRECTION.

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT IT IS THAT Most games running unreal, autoaim aims for the chest and isn't actually able to be disabled. Which lead to funny shit like in Borderlands it was easier to get a headshot with Brick's fists than a sniper rifle because the cone of accuracy was so small.

I haven't noticed anything as bad as console autoaim with horizontal aiming in Doom. Of course, I last played vanilla in 1999 and have been using source ports ever since.

"Aim assist" has been a thing for a few years now. Sometimes it's really fucking strong, to the point it feels like you're using an aimbot.

So how angry do console kiddies get when playing on PC without that and can't hit shit?

About 10 seconds, and then you realise it's built into every computer game too.

>>>/cuckchan/

It's everywhere, dude.
It's one of the reasons people are able to pick up any FPS and get a few kills and feel like they're doing good. Shit like that casualizes shooters to a point casuals can feel like they are good at something.

Not, really?

None of the Killzone games have aim assist which is nice. Probably my favorite console shooter.

None of them? Seriously? I heard good things about 3's multiplayer back when 4chan was tolerable.

What a brilliant thread that isn't at all intended as a weak attempt at baiting.

It's OK to discuss video games you know.

Ya even the one on PS4 doesn't.

Yes, this is why I laugh every time I see self proclaimed mlg competitive players or tournaments on console. I think it's a little more than just pc's controls being better though I genuinely think that the average console player is mentally retarded compared to any pc userbase. I play Blacklight Retribution on pc pretty often and I'm decent at it on pc. I decided to download the console version on ps4 and even though I haven't played a fps on a controller in years I wiped the floor with lvl 80s who have probably played the game for more than 500 hours.

PC players are generally better at rocket league than PS, and they can't type back when you sledge them.

Also, while fighting game masters are on PS, since most games are released there first, I find the normal players on PC are generally better and also more willing to play/teach/learn.

I can't think of any cross platform games that I have played where console players are better.

Yes, you retard, I thought it was common knowledge

Inferior controllers and the fact that only inferior people play consoles

Speak for yourself, I do semi-decently with Street Fighter 4 and MUGEN on a keyboard. Some analog inputs like bizarre circle movements can be tricky at first but eventually they're second nature and can be done a bit more precisely than with a stick since you're feeding it raw directional input.

It's most obvious in GDoom. Aiming in the general direction of an enemy and firing the rocket launcher would result in you apparently shooting a missile out of your shoulder.

Controller is more comfy.

Keyboard + mouse is more precise.

I play on mustard and bloodbornestation.

Why choose when I can have both?

does anyone have that webm of that guy playing with mouse + keyboard destroying another guy playing with a controller on ut3?

...

Most of them prefer a relaxing experience to an analy altering one.

ftfy senpai

They are literally dumber

Pointing and clicking is real hard, OP.

How young are you? 5?

Can confirm, there have been times where the aim assist activated when I was just near enemies. You could feel your aim get stiff if there was an enemy on the other side of the wall. I'm dead serious.

cus we have a life lmao, pc is for tryhards

...

there are no facts or info to answer that question.

You answered your own goddamn question.

Action games with any aiming (bows f.ex) are still much better with a mouse. Good example is Killer is Dead. I've played through that game with both a controller and KB+M and the latter was far superior.

Too add to my previous post

Fighters are just fine with a keyboard.

You mean people whop actually put effort into their gameplay?

no i mean u nerds that play for like 10 hours a day llol

Most gamers are bad. first person shooters isn't exactly a skill intensive genre.

I think once you start getting into real games, and not casual bullshit such as insurgency, red orchestra, arma, counter-strike, call of duty, etc. Games like god hand, tw101, ninja gaiden black you start to see where the differences properly shine. Not only do these games actually have mechanical depth and a proper direction for the game design, but it allows the player to grow and encourages growth.

lmao

It depends on the fighter, but Street Fighter is fucking awful and I don't wish on anyone the hand pain each session gave me.

That's exactly like saying shooters are fine with a controller.

I love how you fags always cherry pick the worst possible examples just to keep beating your chests about how great you are.

Why are you cancer race kiddies so insecure anyway, you supposedly have the best gaming platform, the best games, are ultra elite master gamers, yet you act like children.

Were you dropped on your head as a kid? It's a major handicap.

You need a specialized keyboard to play arcade games properly without hurting your hand, and for emulators too but to a lesser extant. This is because your buttons share the same circuit and therefore the same inputs making certain button combinations impossible to do in the tenths of a second you need to do the input, not to mention some buttons override the input of other buttons on a normal keyboard.

Yes.
