I remember that it starts it was a bit unique. You have the heroes and army build base. Mission maps were available to re-visit and improve the base which you finished.
The story was fantasy based. Very simple, the kingdom gets attacked by hordes of nasties, whom the leader is some bitch. Your main character gets involved with this event, gets blessed by a dragons blood and you are some sort of the "chosen one". You are slowly recruiting characters which later you will have tons of them. By that you give them your blood for some reason to keep them alive.
