They do, but it's funny cause whenever I've seen people give arguments for why they chose the Tau it has always been in relation to their ground assets. Quite clearly they have no fucking idea what Tau space forces are like.

Underpowered compared to everyone user. Some of their ships have less shields than Orkz! It's actually their escorts and flyers that are good, missiles are also nice but everything else? Meh. Ion cannons are actually not that special despite what people may think, considering a macro or lance battery will not only hit for the same amount of damage if not harder but also at longer range.

Also Chaos and Necrons are the two most powerful fleets

Okay, here's the idea. Multiplayer FPS that stars less powerful combatants of WH40.

PVP should have large maps and large player limits - 64v64 at very least. Every match is a battle between two factions:
IG - not good at melee, basic weapons (lasguns) are accurate, but relatively slow firing, wide selection of special weapons, best vehicles.
Chaos cultists - better at melee, basic weapons (stubbers) are less accurate, but fast firing, have access to demonic shit.
Orks - best melee, have more health, but are bigger, making them good targets. Weapons are completely inaccurate and have neither iron sights nor on-screen crosshair. When they gather in large mobs, they get stronger and their vehicles become faster.
Tau - best basic weapons, but worst melee and smaller variety of special weapons compared to IG. Vehicles are glass cannons.
Space mehreens/CSM don't appear as separate faction, but the players on top of a leaderboard will be able to spawn as space marine/CSM/meganob/battlesuit operator for one life if some conditions were fulfilled.

PVE mod will consist of small squad of IG veterans (or champion cultists, or Ork nobs, or Tau pathfinders) defending against AI-controlled faction which will also field hordes of cannon fodder (such as conscripts, gretchins, Gue'vesa) in addition to stronger units.

I don't know much about the company itself, only it's games, but it doesn't look like relic's dawn of war at all. It's not building on the previous games in any way, it's a product of hackneyed market research on modern trends and audiences. There must be a new team at the very least, or at least a bunch of new shit-eating overpaid art directors who think they know what kids like or something.
Fucking shield domes being the cover mechanic is atrocious. I don't think they've ever watched a game play out on the tabletop before, if they're even aware it wasn't a vidya franchise to begin with.

The purpose of Eversor assassins is to take out groups (like command staff or noble families) in gruesome, spectacular and show-off manner to instill fear and terror. So they're purposefully made to be the polar opposite of a subtle, covert and stealthy assassin.

Still not their own dedicated game.

Calidus = Infiltrators, subtle, undetected, polymorph.
Culexus = Anti-psykers, trackers.
Eversor = Anti-group, gruesome, exemplarity of the punishment.
Vindicare = snipers, ambushers.

If you need someone dead or manipulated but don't want anyone to know you send a Callidus (enemy commander, rogue imperial, etc).

If you need a psyker to die or an elusive target dead you sent a Culexus (Eldar seer, psyker cult leader).

If you need a group of people dead (cabal of nobles, rebels, local imperial cult dangerously close to heresy) and to make an example you send an Eversor.

If you need someone dead ASAP you send a Vindicare.

Culexus and Callidus are subtle, Vindicare and Eversor aren't.

Eversor and Callidus are at the exact opposite of the spectrum of assassination. One will kill without anyone realizing there was a killer (or that even the target was assassinated), the other one is the "murder you, your whole family and even your cousin twice removed pets" kind of assassin.

The "golden age of mankind" goes from M22 to M25, Psykers exists from M18.

The only civilization that thrived were the ones that had religion, specifically the "burn the witch" kind, because of random demonic possession, those who where tolerant of Psykers were all destroyed by M25 when came the warps storm and nearly all the Psykers went demonic.

I'd suggest Dawn of War: Dark Crusade or Dawn of War II to begin with. They're accessible enough and are a good crash course for the setting.

Recently I've been playing Planetside 2 quite a bit. I'm pretty sure Battlefield 2: Modern combat had something like this. You controlled a soldier as normal but could swap to any other soldier in your line of sight and would automatically swap to another on death. It was pretty neat and on modern hardware you could fit a lot more soldiers in.

Regular assassins/death cults yes, Imperial assassins can't be dispatched without the Senatorum Imperialis signing on it, (though typically this is done via proxy by the Ordo Sicarius).

Basically you need to piss off Terra something fierce to get Imperial assassins sent after you. Typically they go after xenos, rebels or heretical leaders.

The Ork Snipers bit is exactly that. Space Marines piss off the Inquisition, They get dispatched to an incredibly bad situation while "ork snipers" kill all their apothecaries.

But that's something Terra signed on it, because even if the Inquisition was wrong, insubordination is worse.
