I've been having a lot of the same thoughts and feeling with regards to this topic although, my line of thought lead down the path of WWIII with Russia and a draft. Its depressing in terms of our weather being shit and every city Ive lived in gets grey overcast skies at least 4 months total of the year. Ironically the only place that didn't have dead skies was Northern Ontario where you have 7.5 months of winter. I tried living in a 1~ million population city once and left less than a year into it even though I was making a pile of money, you can guess the reason why. The 100-300k population cities not near Toronto or Vancouver are the best but there isn't many of them and these places aren't really liked or known by tourists because who wants to go to a city that has a couple streets of "downtown". (((Coincidentally))) the cities I mention are the prime targets of refugee settlements.

I have seen it brought in a few places, that Canada has always had a firearms registry, but before it was only about pistols and such. Then when they expanded it to shotguns and long rifles, everything went to shit because they were completely unprepared for how many people owned firearms of that nature. It went from a few thousand people on the rolls to millions.
