Automation strikes again

Let's see those projections! I give the trucking industry 10-15 years and that's it, 85% robots.

Automation is something I talk about with my coworkers alot. When you're almost to the point where something like an automobile can go from design to testing to production with hardly a human hand between them, how can you possibly provide every person with a job? That seems to stump them more often than not.

People only seem vaguely aware of the impending wave of automation. It's going to be a rude awakening.

Yep. Over 5 million jobs in driving, in America alone. Gone for good. Nothing to replace them. Also jobs at gas stations, shops, hotels, etc that all serve truckers and drivers.

That's just the first step of the new automation era.

lmao

...

I've got a better chance than most

lucky, i just live in a country with the most nukes on the planet

so you'll get swamped by global warming

I thought Holla Forums would support this, don't you want the revolution?

Unless we can get entire warships to turn red, man idk.

technological advancement in the hands of capitalists only reinforces the class gap and makes the eventual revolution that much more difficult.

I actually forgot about the automation of military, that's a fucking horrifying prospect

Yeah, but wasn't it really the same way for the socialist revolutions in the past? Technological innovation that benefit the few. My concern is if genetic editing becomes a reality.

bogan get out.

most military automation is going to be in the form of logistics. There is far too much that needs to bee improvised when actually talking about combat roles that seriously automated fighting machines won't be a thing for a while.

Just wait until Uber starts hiring Teslas, then shit's gonna get real.

Indirectly it already is when you have people looking for genetically "efficient" partners i.e. whatever is a good investment in human capital.

...

Will we just see huge pockets of self-employed and unemployed people where once people were employed by capital?
It would be nice to see a measure of how many people in the world are employed by capital currently

If the transformation labor transformed from hard labor to maintenance labor via automation, WILL THAT MAKE MARKETS OBSOLETE ?

instead of Labor > transformation > marketplace > consume

Labor > auto > non market > consumer

FLAC NOW

what's wrong with wavs?

He meant FALC

But then peak oil will take it away.

What pains me the most is that I know that classcucks that will inevitably become unemployed by this shit will still continue to praise and lick the boots of "job creators" instead of revolting against the system.
