Isn't 7 Days to Die still in EA?

It is, but for a game in Alpha, it has most of it's features developed and functional. They're trying to get the building UI and mechanics refined so it's not as difficult as driving a tank, but other than that, optimization, and graphical changes, along with some new enemy and environments, the game is done.

I always wanted to play it multi, does Holla Forums have a server?

put it well. It's been getting constant work done for the last two years, and while it's still buggy, it's playable, has solid content and ticks all the boxes it should. I'm impressed with the amount of shit added since I played last year, minus the retarded decision to make you open a menu to see hunger/thirst.

Coming from the Wurm server, there's a lot of similarities what with the new skill system, though with much less grind and better PvE/combat.

None that I'm aware of. According to the wiki, once you break the 20 player mark the game starts shitting the bed, but given 8ch's population, it might never get that big. If it did, two servers and a general of nonstop shit-talking.

It's still up in the air to be honest
Devs backpdealled the retarded direction they were taking the game in, only after a nuclear meltdown on both forums though, and they are still obviously buttblasted that people actually gave them input because it wasn't just braindead
All these indie faggot devs just suffer from massively USI, every single one needs to understand no one cares about their life or their problems or their dreams or any of that shit, they care about the overpriced unfinished product they got scammed into and when it's going to be done.

Wait, what? you can write in blocks already? I can already make my road motel/prison!?

tripkike has me so fucking confused with this goddamn game

like, they say their classic sjw "sexism in games a hoo boo bloo" lineā€¦ then give anton strasser the line "stay dead, fotze". fotze is one of the filthiest words in the German language, it's like "cunt" except you would only use it to describe the cunt of a diseased, slimy whore. bizarre

i want to like it because drama aside shooting zombos as an actual third reich soldier is fun but i just have no idea what the hell they're doing

on-topic, another early access success story is road redemption. it's road rash, and it's a hell of a lot of fun

also, i'm sorry for the reddit-style structure of my post, it looked a lot more cluttered and in-need-of-line-breaks in the quick reply box

Three scrap iron per letter, you can slap them on whatever in any orientation.

I'm having a hard time believing they salvaged this shitshow. Even my notaste KF1 fanboy buddy was pissed.

Broforce. It was good but buggy during EA but even then it was fun. Game is out for half a year already and yet devs released an update for 4th of July.

inb4:shilling and muh-pixels. This game is too good not to shill and fuck pixels because gameplay is great. Also don't fucking play it alone, it's made for coop. And in case you want unlimited free version with online, the game has no DRM other than using steamapi.dll as a link to .exe.

Interestingā€¦ So, how are the bikes? did they include any more vehicles? Just heard they added some recipe to make asphalt, so I can make roads to a motel. And I guess they didn't add some paint spray like I've heard long time ago.

It's proably way worse on console. I was stupid enough to buy it for PS4 because I wanted to justify my purchase of Bloodbornestation.

It feels like operating heavy machinery or doing hard labor just accomplishing basic things.

What I noticed most of all is that the terrain generation is really shitty. As in almost vertical hills out of nowhere, square looking shit etcetra.

Verdun is completed but the Unity engine holds this game its like running through tires, and Factorio is practically done at this point.

Just bikes for now. They a loot-only recipe and a lot of specific salvage shit, so they're reasonably difficult to build. They're at least 3x faster than sprinting and only use maybe 30 fuel per minute driving (salvage a car gets you ~400 fuel), so pretty damn powerful, and they have a storage option if you can find it. What surprised me was that they actually aren't buggy. I was expecting to be falling through the map and bug out whenever I hit something (you can mow down zombies/animals in exchange for losing some durability).

Closest thing to spray paint is craftable camo coverings for blocks. There's a lot more craftable decorative shit now than there was, though. Check in with a later release and it might have it.

Near-vertical hills happen in PC version, too, at least when a hill is within the flattened perimeter of a town and gets cut in half.

How is 7 Days to Die's random world gen nowadays? When I torrented it long time ago, random generation had like 2-3 buildings after kilometers of wasteland.

What? killing floor 2 is one of the best examples of how early access can go wrong

...

I saw on a video that alpha 15 would have signs, garage doors, lifting bridges and vendors that actually use ingame money to purchase from others.

Do you get money now in the game?

Last I played, there were dirt trails with lone camps/cabins, roads that ran through towns/cities and connected biomes, biomes separated by rivers and occasional lakes.

Now biomes aren't separated by rivers and there are generated rivers and ponds as well as lakes. There's also apparently caves spread around that spawn bears/feral zombies but make it a lot easier to mine. They seem rare, I haven't found one yet.

You get paper and casino tokens you can scrap for brass from cash registers. It'd be easy enough to add cash to their loot table.

Shiet, I'm tempted to abandon my old jump ramp design.

Those are probably my favorites ex-EA games.

Indie devs just doing some honest proper shit exist

Age of Decadence turned out pretty fucking great.

pic 1 is still in EA but I'd say it's pretty feature complete compared to most finished racing games.

pic 2 is obligatory

pic 3 is definitely unfinished but its already easily the best in the series in terms of multiplayer

Are this, Underrail, and New Vegas the best RPGs in the past 10 years.

Wanna play mong?

Yes, yes, and yes.

well I guess I need to play Age of Decadence and Underrail then. Question for you two: did you think that Pillars of Eternity was fun?

I was so bored by it that I uninstalled during the first town after resolving a dispute between farmers and merchants about the quality of the town's grain harvest. I am shocked that they had the skill to make a game so impressively boring, they put a lot of effort into making the player want to kill themselves during every waking moment of those first three hours. And don't even get me started on the retarded "every build is equal!" RPG mechanics.

I want to know if you two think that something like that is good so I know whether the games you're talking about are actually fun.

Come the fuck on.

I barely played PoE, which sucks for me since I backed it. It just felt uninspired and the self-insert backer characters made me want to hang myself.

For the record I think "every build is equal" or "jack of all trade" RPGs are shit.

Age of Decadence doesn't let you fuck around, you will end up dead, hell even if you don't fuck around you'll probably die.

If you like faction oriented RPGs check out AoD for sure.

As for Underrail, its in my backlog so I can't comment really, I just like how it looks and what I've played so far.

Please don't start shilling here again. It was painfully obvious the first time.

hold up is this like Morrowind where I can just fuck off from the main quest and decide to be a telvanni mage or morag tong assassin or whatever? I am desperate for someone to try to compete with Bethesda, specifically Morrowind and its mutually exclusive factions that can be completely separate from the main quest.

grim dawn, tabletop simulator, and factorio came out alright

golf with your friends appears to be promising

killing floor 2 was a mistake

Subnautica and The Forest are prime examples of what early access should be

I wouldn't put it quite on the same level of Morrowind. The concept is basically you pick a faction and follow it to the end of the story sort of like New Vegas. At least that's what my playthrough felt like as a combat based character who joined the guards.

But you can certainly run unconventional characters such as a pure merchant, lore master, etc.

Last time I played it it was still a mess and unplayable. That was a couple months ago. If you would have said The Long Dark then I would agree with you, and I agree on Subnautica. My only problem with The Long Dark right now is they added a radial menu in an update that is pretty useless on mouse and keyboard.

Pulsar and Empyrion are worthy mentions too for the most part, or at least interested to see where they end up.

TLD is a great example too, big issues with it though is the devs keep fucking postponing the story mode thing

That's true, but at least they're doing constant updates to keep us occupied. I think they want to release the story when everything else is finished for a more polished game, which makes sense to me.

I am looking forward to the story mode that's for sure.

lurk moar fagggot

No.

My friend bought me Empyrion to play with him, it has potential but the worlds are pretty empty right now, just running around the the other half of the planet to mine iron then run back. Just time consuming and boring at this point.

I completely forgot about this game. Haven't played it in well over a year, but I'm glad to see the devs are actually doing something with the game.

Seconded. Shame about the announcer though

Does an 8ch server exist for 7DTD?

I really enjoy Subnautica, and a huge part of it is because the devs don't see multiplayer as a priority. They want to make an enjoyable single player experience first and foremost.

It makes me sad that so many idiots are pressuring the devs to put multiplayer as soon as possible. I hope they don't cave in.

looks like some nerd went and started one 8ch.net/v/res/9990568.html

if there's interest I might rent a dedicated server for it

Am I the only one who isn't excited for story mode? I mean seriously the devs could be working on ways to make sandbox mode more interesting and less of a late game grind but instead they work on an episodic story mode that you'll end up having to pay extra for. Then again considering they've shown hardly any gameplay from story mode it could actually be interesting.
